I swam in late 90s and early 00s and it's amazing to see how much technology, coaching and workouts have improved. My coaches back then were all about pounding the yards and one size fits all. I always wonder what I could have done had we had access to this type of program. Amazing stuff!
Great video! Audio is a little bit messed up, when you speak its in my left headphone when Dave speaks it is only in my right ear. And the audio cuts out a little bit here and there. But the video quality is amazing!
Amazing content. Don’t know if other people had this but there were many times where audio would cut out and video would freeze. It would happen at the same times if I would close and restart the video so it’s not a internet thing. Also, mono audio If you also have these problems hope you can figure out a way to resolve them 🙏
@@rioriorio17 I was gutted about the glitches I worked so hard on this. Once I realised the algorithm had already picked up and didn’t want to lose that
@@TheSwimsuitGuy are you going to China any time soon? Love to see Qin's practices. Although, I should probably urge you not to due to their Gov being very sus on foreigners.
Do any of you remember Doc Councilman at IU early 1970’s? Was he one of the first to coach what was happening with a stroke under water.? He’d love all the technology now ❤️
do they train with techsuits on? I kept seeing some swimmers wearing techsuits. I struggle with techsuits because I've almost only added whenever I wear one and I was always told it wasn't a good idea to train with one but I always thought 'why not train with one? wouldn't that just get me used to wearing one?' but my coaches all just say there's no need and brush it off so a lot of times I don't wear a techsuit when I race, do these big time swimmers train with a techsuit? or is this just how they train only close to a big meet?
FREE hands should enter the water ahead of the arm, keep the elbow up, short glide, catch the the water and pull under the body, side reduces strength.
I'm glad you're getting a first hand look at what some of the elite college aka short course yards swimmers and swimming is all about. YES it's yards. YES the rest of the world doesn't care, nor should they. But you bet your damn swim suit that the A final of a NCAA division 1 championship meet is frickin fast. Crazy how Cali takes swimming so seriously, I swim in Chicago at a HS level and it’s nothing compared to this lol

hi i need your opinion. How many workouts should 9-10 year olds do per week?
2…. Maybe 3 at max
In the U.S. 5-6 is common. 60-90 minutes each
Practice has really changed since I grew up. I really wish I was taught proper techniques when I grew up.
It’s clearly getting better but I think we have a long way to go with age group swimming!

Kolesnikov is the 50 meter backstroke world record holder lol
Soon. Hasn't been ratified yet.
How are they kicking and not tangled their legs on the bulk head pullies?
Core 🙌
shouldn't the world record of 50 back be Kliment Kolesnikov?
Kolesnikov is the SC world record holder meanwhile Armstrong is the LC world record holder
Kolesnikov is the 50 back world record holder long course and short course

Edit: its still pending according to the fina website. So not official yet

what's that mask Jack Alexy is wearing?
Sun cream

?!?!?!?
ASU dub
After watching this really?
You have to go watch an ASU practice! It’s ASU’s ncaa this year
I’d love to maybe I can make a trip
