Texas, Oklahoma ALREADY Regret Expansion Big 12 Exit, SEC Move Will Destroy Both Football Programs

  • As Texas and Oklahoma transition from the Big 12 to the SEC, both programs are likely to face several challenges that could lead to struggles early in their new conference existence. The SEC is widely regarded as the most competitive conference in college football, with a level of depth and talent that surpasses that of the Big 12. This transition will test the mettle of both historic programs in multiple ways.
    Increased Competition
The primary challenge for Texas and Oklahoma will be the significant increase in competition. The SEC consistently fields some of the best teams in the nation, including perennial powerhouses like Alabama, Georgia, and LSU. These teams not only possess top-tier talent but also have established cultures of winning and robust recruiting pipelines. Texas and Oklahoma will need time to adjust to facing such high-caliber opponents week in and week out, which could result in early struggles as they acclimate to the new level of competition.
    Depth and Physicality
The SEC is known for its physical style of play and deep rosters. Unlike the Big 12, where Texas and Oklahoma often faced less depth, the SEC's bottom-tier teams are still formidable opponents. The grind of an SEC schedule can wear down even the most prepared teams, and both Texas and Oklahoma will need to bolster their depth to withstand the physical toll of an entire season. This depth is crucial not only for surviving the rigors of the regular season but also for competing in the highly physical postseason.
    Recruiting Battles
Recruiting in the SEC is a cutthroat affair, with schools vying for the nation's top talent. While Texas and Oklahoma have traditionally recruited well, they will now be competing directly with SEC schools for recruits. Establishing themselves as attractive destinations amidst established SEC recruiting powerhouses will take time and could initially impact their ability to secure top-tier talent. This recruiting adjustment period might result in a talent gap that could be evident on the field.
    Cultural and Tactical Adjustments
Adapting to the SEC's culture and tactics will be another challenge. The coaching staffs at Texas and Oklahoma will need to adjust their strategies to contend with the defensive prowess and offensive schemes prevalent in the SEC. This might involve changes in recruiting philosophy, player development, and game-day tactics. Such adjustments take time to implement effectively, and the learning curve could lead to early struggles.
    Conclusion
In conclusion, while Texas and Oklahoma bring rich histories and strong programs to the SEC, they are likely to face early struggles due to the heightened competition, increased physical demands, intense recruiting battles, and necessary tactical adjustments. Over time, these programs may adapt and thrive, but the initial transition period is poised to be a challenging phase in their storied football histories.

The B12 sounds like a “jilted ex” this week. Posting everything on social media to make everyone knows they are fine. Telling anyone who will listen how happy they are to be free. Spitting venom at the be GF and how miserable OU/TU will be over there. I have even seen support groups online where they tell bad Texas stories geez.

    Don’t look past Oklahoma!
I surprised that Paul Finebaum hardly knew anything about OU on his visit for being such a renowned media spokesperson. It showed too. The recency bias for Texas is just that, history shows that they will have a good season or two every decade but OU is a sleeping giant and not the little brother moving in. It should be Oklahoma-Texas and not Texas-Oklahoma as most SEC pundits are call it.
Here are some stats for that most of us OU fans know but wished that these SEC homers knew too.
OU has the second most national championships in the country outside of Yale and Princeton just right behind Alabama that has 18 or (13 unanimous).
Oklahoma has seven recognized Associated Press championships. OU has 15 titles that are recognized by the NCAA:
    Those wins came in 2000, 1986, 1985, 1980, 1978, 1975, 1974, 1973, 1967, 1957, 1956, 1955, 1953, 1950 and 1949.
OU only claims AP national titles as they are unanimous unlike many other schools.
Just think, Michigan only has 3, but all of the sudden within the last couple of years, now they claim 12 for example. Ohio State now claims 8, Notre Dame claims 11, USC claims 9. We ae getting passed up and we actually have more. This helps for prestige and recruiting but for some reason the old heads at OU will not fall in ine like everyone else and claim
what they actually have. I don't get it.
OU also has the most conference championships of any team.
OU is tied for most Heisman winners (7) with Ohio State and USC.
OU is the only school with four 100-win coaches, owns a college football record 47-game win streak during the 1950s, and since 1945 leads the sport with 606 wins and a .762 win percentage.
OU has the most all-time draft picks of the teams that are now in the SEC in 417. Alabama has 411.
Lastly, OU are amongst the top in having the most undefeated seasons in all of college football.
Joining the SEC may be tough but it is opening a flood gate to recruits that they would have missed out on since they were not in the SEC. OU is a top 2-3 Blue Blood program. Imagine the 5 star recruits that OU will get now that they are in the SEC.
I think that OU is getting exactly what they wished for in terms of money, prestige, recruiting, and a shot to win it all.
Like I said, it may not be immediate but it will come sooner than later.

However, to doubt OU is an absolute joke. They ran the Big12 the WHOLE TIME IT WAS IN EXISTENCE. I used to watch this show a lot but you should focus on B12 sports and quit smack talking OU who ran your league for decades. Show some respect for a program who was fantastic in your league. Texas and Oklahoma arent going to regret anything. Much better money and thats all that really matters in college football now. The top of the SEC is stacked though. The media hypes the SEC and Big10 up I believe to keep the expansion train rolling. The majority of Big 12 teams are as good or better than the middle/bottom of the so-called "Power 2". not going 12- 0 ever? Try year one for Texas. Buy Texas because it is not the past its a different coach who did nothing but dominate every TexaSEC defense while at bama and beat bama at home last year with saban and different players who have adopted a different culture. Texas has the AD coach and NIL money ,which was never a factor before , to compete against georgia and bama every year Bama post satan i mean saban will not be the program it was under him . if we truly consider him to be the goat there has got to be a significant fall off . Sark is the key Texas finally hss the right coach in place at thr right time. As for the game at little bros house , they cant get over the fact that we are THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS and they can never be the big dog in this state we will once again teach them to stay on the porch and crush thier soul to end our regular season and have momentum going into the TexaSEC championship and playoffs Hook Em We are Texas #welcometotheTexaSEC
