The rivalry may be good for the league and fans, until someone injures Ms. Clark ruining her career. Enforcers play roughly for that reason, to intimidate and potentially harm opposing players by overly aggressive play. The referees need to control the game tempo and player interactions to head off escalation and potential injuries. The WNBA must also recognize this when they review plays and floor made decisions by referees to eject players for conduct.

There are "some" players who get really irritated when they realize there is another player whose talent is so great that the only way to neutralize them is to cheat. This is the situation with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Clark is on a higher level of talent than Reese is accustomed to so she has to push the envelope with Clark by trying to bully her into being less aggressive. It won't work as we can plainly see but Reese getting called for fouls against Clark is only going to add to the frustration Reese feels towards Clark whom Reese feels is getting undeserved attention. Jealousy pure and simple.
As long as Reese gets called for her fouls she will be getting in crap from her coach soon because Clark is a really good free throw shooter so the more Reese screws up and let her go to the line then the more Clark will score

Clark flops a lot, Lots of players do it, right up to LeFlop, but it's not that great a look. Now, Carter deserved a T and the pro rules used to treat dead-ball fouls with more severity (I don't know what the current status of that rule is), so there's that, but given Clark's history of flopping it's reasonable to look closely at whether she really needed to take a header and maybe that's why the refs undercalled it.

One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody!

Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it.

Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

Reese's swing at Clark's head was not a basketball move. It would have been a flagrant one even if she had incidental contact with the ball. As it was, she missed the ball by a lot and wasn't even stretching to reach it. Such a stretch might have put her over Clark's back but it wouldn't have had such head contact.
A couple years from now people will be laughing at the idea of Reese being competition for Clark

The league has been victim to perpetual low attendance, low viewership, or no televised games at all, lack of sponsorships, etc, etc - and Caitlin Clark has changed that. People are excited by her talent, so tune in to see her play - and are exposed to all the other great talents in the WNBA. The women who bully Clark are jealous of the attention she’s being given after they’ve toiled for years in virtual obscurity. If they get over the bitterness, they’ll realize the light is shining on them, too, and that they have a better opportunity to showcase their skills and benefit financially from the exposure. These women are sabotaging their own livelihoods to spite another woman who is there to do the same job. It’s mind boggling.

Angel Reese is little more than a loud mouth thug with no idea about sportsmanship, whereas Caitlin Clarke is the complete opposite. Not only is Caitlin a great player in her own right, but unlike Reese, she also knows that she’s part of the team and isn’t the narcissist that Reese is who also believes it’s all about her.
Clarke will go far and with her teammates working together better every day they will be unstoppable and it will encourage the public to watch more female players.
