One of the better runs I have seen for alatreon with Lance. Amazing as always Pyrac. For the floor circle blast, you can face outwards with Power guard which will knock you back towards monster, this will give you opening to attack.
After playing lance I can't play any other weapon anymore. I don't need to dodge, rarely need to heal, just poke poke poke and stick to the monster like a piece of chewing gum. I feel like I am in a fight 100% of the time rather than spending 50% on dodging.The constant damage uptime just feels too addicting.
Coming from someone that starting to play with all weapons ,lance was one of the most fun ones, together with the hunting horn, bow and gunlance(the american cousin of the lance)

You can block those breath things, but you’ve gotta do the power guard right when starts the animation. There’s a little delay from when you power guard and when it actually starts blocking
Guard up skill is your friend for pins. Also you get guard up by default if you stay in power guard for few seconds. Choosing the right guard for right attack is what makes the difference. Understanding knockbacks and using them to user advantage will certainly help.
Lance is incredible for every single endgame monster but Fatalis, at least for what i've heard but, don't quote me on that cause I still haven't done the fight myself lmao. Apart from that, i can literally make ruiner nergigante a joke specially if i'm using the raging brachy lance. Tempered or not xD Just as Pyrac said, it is a very agressive weapon. But if even I can bully nergi non-stop with it then you know shit's crazy Xd
@@cokecan6169Oh yeah, i forgot about that guy because i haven't fought him ever again lmao The ice he leaves on the floor in quick succession can't be blocked regardless of having guard up or not. Actually, i don't even remember if you can bypass it with rocksteady or iceproof mantle. That's obnoxious. So the only way to really avoid that is staying close to him all the time.
@@thenoobgamer95It’s actually decent against Fatalis if you have Health Augment to deal with chip damage. When I tried each melee weapon for Fatalis solo runs, Lance was one of the easier weapons for me to use due to how slow he is.
Here I am having majority of my quests between world and iceborne been completed with lance. (Even as a longsword main LMAO I just started liking lance a lot more now). Then I start making a kjarr strongarm ice build with full safi set for spamming savage axe thinking I was going to do decent but now I keep failing non-stop...... And now I just find out I should've kept using lance 😭
