- So as promised, I'm delivering a Lance Guide for Monster Hunter World Iceborne, not a very popular so let's see how this video does. I know it's not the only requested weapon, but unfortunately I don't have all the time in the world to make one for every weapon. If you saw my community post, I did mention that I have a new job as a personal trainer in the fitness industry, so I'm getting less time to commit to guide making. But thanks for all the support either way! I intend to move into more topics other than weapon guides, if I have the time in the future.
Anyway I hope you enjoy this guide and learn something from it, as always these guides are catered for newbies to learn the basics but also some details for more advanced gameplay. If you have more to add, feel free to comment!

I love how with every guide I make, there will be a pinned comment for something I forgot to check or add into the guide😂. Forgive my old man brain, sometimes things just slip my mind but I will always try to rectify when I realize my mistake. Thankfully these moves are not important for the Lance, probably explains why I forgot about them, but here they are:
When you are sliding downhill with your weapon sheathed:
CTRL(guard button) will allow you to block while sliding down(if u hold guard), but if you let go of guard it continues into dash attack.
Left Mouse gives you advancing jump, it continues into dash attack unless you use advancing jump thrust.
I always talk about sliding attacks in every guide, I have no idea why it slipped my mind this time 🤷♂

He blocked the Fatalis normal breath with that guard, creating a safe zone behind him. This should be called Shield and Lance, not plain Lance.

You’re the true professor of MHW👏👏👏 I don’t mean to discourage other creators but this one really stands out.
Maybe it’s not one of those compilation video showing off eye opening moves. But how you explain controls are highly accurate and is followed by actual feedback. I genuinely feel being educated. Thus leading people to apply this as a criteria for advanced hunting just as in mad movies.
On top of that I’ve never seen someone tag the control keys for every platform until now.
I look forward for ‘Wilds’ guides from you in the coming future.

Happens. Maybe u can use cancel thrust to reset instead of hop, in those situations i mean
@@torpedosoup I am trying to do that yes. But from my previous attempts a couple of months ago, I instinctively dodge. Trying to get over it

I started on MH Rise and enjoyed the lance through to endgame. I'm late to MH World and figured I'd go for Charge Blade as it's mechanically simpler in World. Watching this has made me fall in love with the Lance again! Thank you!

Very cool and detailed viedeo. Thumbs up. One thing though that wasnt said (maybe its just my memory playing a trick) but i am fairly certian the activation of the clutchlaw counter via counter thrust+slinger button is better since not only is it slightly faster but also can be performed right after a thrust, since the counter thrust cancels the endlag animation. Meanwihle the slinger button+high trust button cant since the slinger guard doesnt cancle the endlag animation of a thrust
Thanks for the valuable input! Yes i personally use the counter thrust version more too because of how fast it comes out. but i also noticed the slinger burst version is able to trigger offensive guard. Thanks for watching!

Which one do you prefer? Iceborne 's Lance or Sunbreak's Lance?
I use both. Id say for lance specifically sunbreaks is a little better due to more options and not losing any of the old options. Its not like how HH was changed, lance still has all the old moves except clutch claw

I need some sure way to farm guard up or guard decos because I currently main lbg and shield hbg, possibly lance if I know how to combo properly

My problem is that i cannot enter guard shot despite having my keybinds set for it, any tips
what are your keybinds for slinger aim? guard shot is basically just pressing slinger aim while your weapon is drawn. and as mentioned, these are iceborne moves, you need to have iceborne

@@kryptyca3201 make sure u have iceborne. If u only have base world u cant use guard shot, counter claw or clutch claw in general
