Great job guys! I´ve lived in Madrid twice and you managed to cover things I have never seen. You included history and kept each section tight. Beautiful camera work.
Many people have made videos about Madrid, but it seems that a lot of them overlook a place called "Tio Pio," which is located around 2 miles away from Goya. At Tio Pio, you can go to the top of the hills and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset. It's a truly beautiful sight that shouldn't be missed.
Yes, it's exact name is Cerro del Tío Pío (Unkle Pio Hill). It is a bit far from downtown Madrid and not located in the best neighbourhood but the sight of the city is superb.
Great video Ben. Just got back from Madrid and got a lot of great ideas from watching your video. I did a day tour to Toledo and Segovia and they are both fantastic cities to visit. Also visited Barcelona and Seville for the day. Real Madrids stadium is almost finished the price of the tour has certainly jumped up though, it's just under £30 now 😲
@@David_Dibbert amazing, glad you enjoyed Madrid David. Wow, you got yourself about! How long were you away for? Barcelona is class too. Hefty price for the stadium tour, though I remember thinking the images of what they wanted to build looked amazing
@@BenRobson123 I spent eight day's altogether in Madrid and visited cities from there, its a great base for exploring Spain. Hello brother, I am from Georgia, I recently discovered your channel and I really liked it, I hope you will visit the capital of my country, Tbilisi. 🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪
There was a metro station right next to my hostel, but if you’re staying central most things are within a 20/25 minute walk. So we mostly walked. But you can get the 10 journeys ticket which is really cheap if you didn’t want to be walking all day :)
“A quick little look in the Prado museum?!?” The reverence that you treat the football stadium but hardly bothered with one of the Premier art museums in the world is rather stunning. And the Temple of . Debod is unsettling to me; in what has been a very Catholic country to have what is a false Idol in the middle of the city, no matter what the story is as to how they got it. You’ll notice that every major western world city, including Rome and Washington DC always end up with a very prominent Egyptian monument, usually phallic in shape, in very prominent place. Could it be that the elites of those ancient times continue to be the elite of these times?
Oh yeah because eating a certain type of food means you’re uneducated.. 🤣 I’d also prefer to be an idiot rather than an ars*hole who has nothing better to do than push his judgement where it is not necessary, or wanted
Yes, it was a beautiful spot! We did actually, we didn’t spend much time at all on Gran Vía unfortunately.. but we did walk by Plaza España. I recorded a section there, but sometimes I have to make compromises on the flow and length of the video, so decided to leave it out!
