- Visited Macon City Hall and was met with a very unprofessional deputy. Deputy Hillard stated he would drag The J-Town Press out and arrest us if we didn't leave. Such a horrible display of the Sheriff's Office here. Macon public employee stated that we are crazy.

I really wish someone would listen! But I have lived in the Macon area for about 52 years, 28 of them was in a little city west of Macon called Lizella! And Macon at one time was a beautiful city till the democrat scum took over and destroyed our city trying to drain the city’s money and the biggest player was a pos crock called Jack Ellis!
What a disgraceful interaction. Hot head who thinks it is okay to speak down and insult the public is the first interaction to the building. He really should not be the front person let alone have a gun so he can threaten use of force. I'm absolutely shocked at the so called professionals within this building.
City Halls spend millions of taxpayer $$$ on all sorts of art work and will arrest you for coming in and taking pictures of it.

I must say that this Building is beautiful. The contractors and interior designers did a fabulous job! It's such a shame that the employees do not reflect that.

I would be very surprised if he was a sworn deputy, just a security guard for the county!!! With absolutely no arrest powers!!!

Hillard, is a disgrace not only to the Sheriff's office but the County as well. The individual who callthem crazy is another example of ignorance by a Public servant. This is for sure one area of Georgia I will not dirty my feet at. Total disgrace.

After his despicable condescending and disrespectful performance inside the building it was no surprise that we found the police officer stationed at the City Hall felt entitled to park his publicly funded police car on the sidewalk for the duration of his shift. He more than amply proved what happens when you give an inadequate with an overblown ego, a badge and a gun.
The attitude of the peoples employees left much to be desired, but it did improve later as someone realized how bad an impression they were going to leave in the media.

Not trying to be rude I mean no disrespect, I'm just keeping it real.. The reason people from up north don't travel to the Bible belt. Is for this exact reason, we've seen the constant Good Ol Boys club tyranny with crap like this ffs. If you work in a public building and you see someone with a camera walking in the publicly accessible areas and being polite. Take it as a reminder that it should be a honor to work for the public. And the reason those people with cameras are there is to see the raw reactions that happen. Look at it as an educational moment that the public wants to see where all these tax dollars go, and the people with cameras represent millions of us that want to know.

A very good band here in the Tacoma area is called Macon Bacon, led by Bobby Severe. Yes he was in Macon before. Met a very rude officer on a trip through Macon, long ago. Wow, look at all that expensive furniture no one sits on. Amazing
