Wow, your video shows off the synth really well. My next purchase, for sure. Cherry Audio is knocking it out of the park consistently, like the beat of a drum.
Just acquired the Elka X thru anniversary sale special. Have checked out four categories so far. Being a sucker for arps I find that the Elka X did a pretty good job. Was also impressed with the sequences. So far have not noticed any unusual CPU useage as proclaimed by some. Am using Novation Launchkey 49 and it seems to get the job done. Have not mapped parameters as I use multiple DAWs. Intend on getting serious about this synthesis from scratch patches. This demo gave a well rounded review.
I initially got into Cherry Audio via their modular synth, but I mainly use the later emulations such as this...Since I work a day job and am holed into being on a hobbyist basis, I'd rather use my free time doing something other than fighting VM. Trying to alter anything or devising my own patches largely results in no sound, or uncontrollable droning ( this will serve as troll bait for desperate losers who have all the time in the world between riotings because they still live with mommy at age 31, and these types are utterly, knee-jerk predictable; bitter comments "Your stuped", etc coupled with hate of unseemly, toddler-like proportions In, One, Two...) although I know I would likely turn to Voltage Modular as my go-to, once I ever get time off sufficiently to get to learn its ins and outs. I'm fascinated by it overall. Great demo, thank you for posting this.
Wow, I just have to know how that KB you are using can map to the knobs and faders. Is this something you set up? Cherry doesn't have NKS (far as I know), did you do this manually, or should I get that KB! Thanks for the demo. Cheers
Is impossibile to map all the parameters, beceause the parameters are more that controller knobs and fader. But for mapping the most important parameters you need 5 minutes.
Nice! If you think about it that Elka was the shit back in the 80‘s! Cheapest Synths with sounds no one wanted 😂😂😂 Fits today into the Synthwave/Retrowave Scene….
Everybody wanted it, but very few could afford it. I should know, I was one of them.. and I missed a good chance to get one in 1996 when nobody wanted it because of the digital madness. That digital madness caught up with me also, so I passed on it and I still regret it to this day. There is an auction for a Synthex right now on ebay for 9K (June 2024)
Whatch also the video manual ua-cam.com/video/OIa_Xte9MMM/v-deo.html

Thank you!
That no talking sounds good.
Thank you
Who else was waiting for preset 46? - luckily got a chance in the 90’s to visit Martin Newcombe’s synth museum and play on an original.
I search to create not obvious content.

I see that Preset 46 has become something like the equivalent of "Order 66" from Star Wars..

Thank you for your comment
Nice demo, thanks. I think we are going to have to score up an Italo-Horror movie medley video with this tasty little VST.
Wow! I didn't expect you to play the theme from Draconus.
😂peraphs is a coincidence beceause I don't know absolutely Draconus
Great demo of an exceptional synth! What controller keyboard are you using?
Thank you. I use a Novation SL 61 mk3
13:46 -- SOLD.
All that sound, and from an older model iMac.... Makes building up a new M1 MAX MBP tempting.....
The quality sound depending from the audio converter and in my case I use class A converter by RME.

LASER HARP is here! My little tributo to Jean-Michel Jarre with ELKA-X by Cherry Audio: ua-cam.com/video/nOek9v-Vuuk/v-deo.html

How long did it take to map all the synth parameters to the controller knobs of that Novation SL 61 mk3 ?
Is impossibile to map all the parameters, beceause the parameters are more that controller knobs and fader. But for mapping the most important parameters you need 5 minutes.
Where is the famous Laser Harp preset?
I'll prepare a special video for this. Subscribe and hit the Bell if you want.

Juicy, very juicy.

🤔Stevie Wonder, Jean Michel-Jarre and Keith Emerson used the original synthex for example so I don't think was the shit back in the 80's!

An ELka Synthex DEMO without the preset 46 (Laser Arp). It should be the first to show. Not reliable!
I'm a Jarre big fan, I've not included this preset purposely to not create an obvious content. Peraphs I made a dedicated track.
