Cool, I must have a gem then because my xd 9 with the same ammo gets max 1.5 inch groups after I broke the pistol in. Just goes to show that no two guns shoot alike, even if made on the same line next to each other!
no two shooters are alike either and some firearms like one ammo over another... please do not view these as absolutes that one firearm is better than another but rather just a fun way to take a look at two firearms
All depends on shooter. I shoot the same with Springfield xdm and Taurus G3 - 45 yards all in 12 circle.

I'm not surprised by that data at all. I have both guns, and while I have never accuracy tested either, I have shot them both at 25 and 50 yards. They can both consistently ring a steel plate all day long, or until your arms get tired. Whichever one comes first.
The XD is considered a garbage gun now, but only because of Springfield's treachery in Illinois.
The PPQ feels better in the hand, looks better quality wise, and has an excellent box stock trigger. It is the superior gun of the two.
yep, figured someone would eventually point out the whole Springfield politics issue. this one was purchased literally days after they were originally released. i honestly can't speak to the quality of the newer models long term but know that handling them during SHOT Show, they seem to all perform as expected. these battles are never really about making one or the other look bad, most modern firearms perform within acceptable parameters for the vast majority of people but seeing them in this type of scenario could help a potential looker make a final decision. i totally agree with you on PPQ, maybe the best out of the box poly frame striker fired trigger out there. thanks for sharing!
No need to watch this, I just noticed the 5 INCH PPQ. Do some fair comparisons.
point is just to showcase different firearms, end of the day most modern firearms perform well within acceptable measures for most normal people, appreciate the critique, noted... can't make everyone happy. have a good one.

yeah i have to agree, maybe the best factory polymer gun trigger out there, great sights, awesome ergonomics, pretty hard to beat for sure

The difference is negligible. Measure the groups. Give one or two percent in favor for the PPQ. Not enough to make a difference. Put a PRP trigger on the XD and they'll be 100% equal.
you sorta get the point, isn't really to say one beats the other but rather to show that modern firearms typically perform close to the same outside of a true scientific situation... which let's fact it, most people will never do

@@Vera-xu3xw BINGO... some folks just don't see why i do these. it is not really about finding a winner. heck if i wanted that i would put a competition rig up against a concealed carry rig or something like that. these are more about showing that while there are subtle differences, just about any modern production firearm is going to perform well enough for most people.
