haven't bought one in years..............until now. Steele is the ultimate, the very pinnacle of preview magazines. It's not so much the rankings of each player or position to me but the overall feelings he has for each team. Every day and in every way I feel so fortunate to have Rhule...............he's the real deal -- we are building the right way and the future is brighter and brighter. I've noticed how many coaches are now mimicing what Rhule says and does but always AFTER he says and does it. Great vid, General,! To put the anticipation for the Huskers in my simple way.................for a long, long, a very long time I have been drinking the Kool Ade and have been disappointed over and over and over --- now, with Matt Rhule I'm more grounded and realistic about my beloved Nebraska Football Team and more importantly the whole program. Stay Healthy my friend and G B R !!!!!!!
Seeing a new video pop up from Corn Crazed always puts a smile on my face. And what Steele predicts of us taking a jump to average almost 27 points a game is huge. I had heard that it would be more like 21. Lots of interesting stuff Conner!
Javin Wright's dad, Toby, was a hell of a tough DB for NU back in the early 90's. NU's ST kick/punt coverage was really good last year. The return game continues to suffer because nobody blocks.
I am reserving my right to stay reserved... my gut tells me we may be on a nine win bender this year but my brain keeps telling me to pump the breaks..!! I'm in a holding pattern until Aug 31... 😂 GBR...
I mean we still should have won 7 or 8 last year bit thr in game coaching in the last 4 games was horrible! And no... I don't blame the O.C. Rhule is on the head set and managing the game.
I don’t mind waiting a while for you to drop a video when you obviously put a lot of time into prep and research. Your concise delivery is truly awesome.
Dude just saw your video, very well done! My question is..... how am I JUST now seeing you're content! Definitely gonna be going through your c9ntent now great work man!

G’job Connor, for decades, the thrill of getting ahold of the CFB bible, aka Phil Steele’s magazine for the first of a new season is better than Xmas as a kid…lol. Keep up the great work young man🌽🏈🌽
Go ahead and say it! Don’t be afraid. Go ahead and say you expect 10 wins this season. I do. Ive been wrong every year for many years with my predictions, but not this year. GBR
One thing i like about Phils magazine? Reading about Nebraska football. One thing about this staff. I've never seen the amount of rotation during games. Between practice and game reps, Rhule knows it's about reps. We are finally building players again. Talent in every room behind the starters. Only bad thing about printed magazines, things change fast due to injuries and the portal. Banks should have made 50 based on his previous play. Dylan didn't get a lot of love. All in all, still read cuz i get to read about the Huskers. Thanks Connor!! Elite GBFR ☠️☠️☠️☠️
What I like is that we’re no longer a young team on the lines. I also expect somewhere between a big and enormous jump at QB. Raiola will almost certainly be the starter, but even if he’s not, or gets hurt, Haarberg looks improved based on the spring game. 8-4 is my best guess, with 9-3 a possibility.
I’m not sure if it’s recent years of losing or what but I’m more nervous about this season than last 6. Lots of expectations. Lots of pressure on staff to produce. Lots of pressure on young players (Dylan, emmet, Coleman) to make plays. Need a win against Colorado this year. I’m excited but nervous
I have to admit your assessments seem spot on. I hope to O line takes a jump next year even though most of the line will be graduating this year , that may be a key to where we are going in this new conference.
Connor; thanks for the Husker Kool-Aid!! Just did a pitcher watching this, now going to find a Borders to buy the magazine. There goes another pitcher. I better pace myself.
I think our Defense got lucky we played such a weak schedule, but if they just do half as good as last year, I think we will be fine. Our offense needs to step it up and we will start winning, I think Dylan is a great step in that direction.
Is it confirmed DeShon Singleton will be back for fall camp? Also, I think Blye Hill is out for at least half the season. Not sure if the magazine takes that into account but you mentioned. I think rank 30 for the secondary is really fair. Everything else you said I agree with though.
@@CornCrazed it's been a long while to be honest. Basically since the spring game since I've heard anything about Hill. Unless you're counting the LJS camp countdown article from 3 hours ago which tells us late September/early October . (Half the season).
@bstive yea, I didn’t see that article, but it sounded like Rhule implied month of Sept. which is first 4 games. So if LJS said same thing it would make sense!
Ben Scott and my boy Tommi Hill are gonna have a great year, Robinson and Nash lil overrated, Bulter is gonna dominant this year and lead in sacks again. Nice Cabela’s hat. It started in my home town of Chappell as a mail order outfitter. GBR 🔴⚪️
I think on punt returns there's too much emphasis on who the return man is. The blocking is the problem. Every game I see the outside guys run down on the return man untouched.
Preview mags mean football is getting closer, so it is totally understandable that even average football fans get fired up just seeing the mags on the newsstands.
If Phil is basing a big part of his prediction on that fact that it is impossible to replicate a -17 turnover margin then I don’t know how much I can trust his prediction because since the turn of the century, giving away the ball is what we do best.
It’s not, he has one of his 8 sections talking about turnover decline season by season and what the statistical odds are that a team will replicate year over year. It’s just a very high percentage chance based on years of history that the turnover issue will change
Nebraska, up 6 on Colorado with 6:37 to go. It's 3rd and 2. Our OC really wants to show his big brain. Run it twice? No way! Not when he can dial up a holding flag, bobbled snap, drop, pick, or scramble out of bounds. The guy is poison.
I don’t see Phil accounting for season player development and improvement. Does he include that on his analytics? Corey Campbell said that the team has increased their max reps on their core lifts by 8,000 pounds so far and the team is faster.
I make my prediction on previous years and the way players were coached Also coaching decision when it matters most. Matt Rhule has a lot of work to do. Several times last year, he lost us 3 games by decisions. Minesotta, Indiana and Michigan State, all I'm going to say. Players mean nothing without good coaching. Sims, if we all remember, was a 4 star recruit. We all remember his horror. Riola is a freshman with no college experience and what I seen in the spring game, I am worried. Lobbed passes, no run game, and 2 int and a fumble for loss. And that's just a practice game. Harburg had none of that. If we go with Harburg, we're going bowling. Riola can be a secondary QB when we need an arm for the long passes. If it was my choice, I would use both QBs
September 20th is going to be the true test. I would have said Colorado but without a lot of the key players that are gone from Colorado, if we lose to them, we might be looking at another 4-8, 3-9 team. I'm predicting a win this year. Illinois will be the true test.
@CornCrazed Rutgers is definitely going to be a battle and Purdue always plays us hard. Illinois I'm predicting a touchdown game. Both defenses were good last year

I'll be getting Phil Steele's magazine now.
My favorite one!
Phil Steele: it’ll be impossible for Nebraska to repeat its 2023 -17 turnover margin in 2024
2024 Nebraska: hold my beer
Lmao
A little surprising that there wasn't any love for the TE's with Fidone and Boerkircher coming back and Carter Nelson joining the roster.
I didn’t read into the receiver profile, but yea, he keeps it vague. I’m sure there were mentions, but I looked at the overview for this video!
Hello Bud! Good show. Watched you on UTUBE. ❤❤
Excited to see the defense dominate this year
The hype is real this year
no doubt

You don’t like Glenn Thomas?
Curious how he has Tommi Hill as the highest rated draft prospect on the team, but doesn’t have him on any of his all-conference teams
The Big Ten is DEEP at DB
I don’t see Phil accounting for season player development and improvement. Does he include that on his analytics? Corey Campbell said that the team has increased their max reps on their core lifts by 8,000 pounds so far and the team is faster.
