Not sure how you think Nebraska is going to improve more than Iowa when your only difference is a freshman quarterback while Iowa has an entire new offensive staff. Tbh from an outside perspective, we can't ask for too much based on the performance, however, the lower rankings will just make it that much sweeter when they overperform.
