    I'm tempted by these for my holiday to Japan in a few weeks time. I was there last year but a month earlier and it was horribly hot at times wearing either my Bull-It jeans or Moto-Girl Sherrie leggings. It's going to be a bit warmer I think this time. Riding through Tokyo I thought these might be ideal spending most of the time at 30mph with short sprints up to 50-60 where allowed. If worn under some decent baggy combats, or even long shorts over the upper half would they offer adequate protection while stopping me from overheating? Or would the Pando moto ones be better? I will be going on longer runs out of the city and don't want to overheat, but want to have good protection and be comfortable all day on and off the bike. I have the Urbane Pro 2 shirt and that solves the upper body problem, it's just the lower half I need to sort out. The jeans and leggings I have get uncomfortable off the bike as the armour just doesn't want to stay where I want it, and the velcro inside often irritates my skin. I had high hopes for the Motogirl Leggings too after reading the reviews, but I have to say i'm disappointed in them with how uncomfortable they can be. I like the look of the Pando Moto leggings, but they look like they might get too hot.

    Have a Force Feild Armored shirt and shorts. Like this mentality of armor and abrasion protection close to the body. The single A rating is a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps you could double up with a second single A-rated garment. Perhaps older or less expensive riding jeans?

    Likewise been waiting for this combo from knox for a while. A little disappointed that they came in single A. If anyone was going to get this to double AA or higher I thought surely it would be knox. All in all great products and I would probably be buying both, shame about the abrasion resistance being so low tho.

      Hi Omar, for 2022 Knox have got something in each clothing category that is A, AA, and AAA, so riders can choose. In this case the AA option is the Richmond MK3 or the Urban Pro Trouser. Granted those are not under layers but Knox's thinking (I presume) was to go for the absolute lightest and most comfortable option possible in the A 'trouser' variant with the Action Pro trouser. - Andrew

      @@UrbanRiderlondon thanks Andrew. Like you said those other trouser options wouldn’t really work as under layers. I had hoped for at least a AA underlayer set from knox - that way they could be used at say motorway speeds while having regular casual denim over them. This in my opinion would have set them apart from existing products already on the market. I think they could have probably achieved this by adding reinforcement abrasion resistant layers on the outer most vulnerable areas while keeping a single layer on the inner areas to aid comfort.
      Never the less, I have to say that the armour placement and coverage does in fact set these leggings apart from the competition in my opinion.

    Is the armor level 1 rated or not?

    How would this compare to the PANDO MOTO SKIN UH 02 line?
    Would you say the Knox line is more comfortable than the Pando offering?
    From what I have seen (based on video reviews like yours and Motolegends), the Pando variant looks to be more abrasion resistant than the Knox. Though CE A, would you say the Pando might be CE A 1/2 due to the extra abrasion resistant materiel(s) in the key contact areas?
    Thank you for your great channel and store!
    A Stateside customer of yours.

      This is the question. I don't think Urban Rider really do head to head reviews. We probably need to find someone who has both.

    • @UrbanRiderlondon
      @UrbanRiderlondon  2 роки тому +2

      Hi SK, great question. Both are fantastic products with little to separate them. In comfort terms I don't think there is much difference. The major thing is that the Knox Action Pro are £50 cheaper which is significant. I think there is some truth in what you say about the Pando being CE A1/2; we may see the Pando achieve AA later this year. Therefore, you could conclude it's a marginal abrasion resistance improvement in the Pando for £50 more. - Andrew

    Would the full-length version be too hot for summer rides?

    • @UrbanRiderlondon
      @UrbanRiderlondon  2 роки тому +2

      Really depends. British summers, morning ride, should be fine. But being honest, leggings generally won't be the best option for hot weather riding. There are other options from Knox such as their Urbane Pro trousers or Shield jeans (single layered), as well as loads from our other brands. - Andrew

    They used to have this kind of protection for goal keeper cloths. Now it's for motorcycles. Knox could easily lose credibility with an investigative journalism expose.

    • @UrbanRiderlondon
      @UrbanRiderlondon  2 роки тому +4

      Hi Expat Biker, I'm not really sure what you mean. Knox are virtually unsurpassed in their expertise in protective motorcycle gear. They are one of a tiny handful of companies that have a seat on the advisory panel for CE approval. This item 100% conforms with the abrasion and impact requirements for level A CE approval. Bear in mind this category is broadly designed for lower speed urban riding. If you want something more protective they have multiple AA and AAA rated offerings within their line up. - Andrew
