Good job finding a good lighting and background. You can tell the artist took pride in his work. I was also surprised to see 4 pointy bits on the wings instead of 2 plus one centerline. I also miss the beefy round thrust exhaust on the 300 series, especially the 350R with its dual thrusters. Now, we just need NPCs that we can hire to transport it.

I'm kinda sad I no longer have access to a 600i explorer. I mean, I tried to test what fit on the vehicle lift during the free fly event, but people kept nicking the 600i when my back was turned... I was hoping to test an m50,85x, a p52 (since the 72 wasn't ingame yet), and to try and get a sense of how large the 300 series is relative to the loading door. Even though that lift in the 600i is designed for a ground vehicle, I have a sneaking suspicion the really small craft might just fit... But, can't test that anymore. I mean, I have a 600i, but it's the touring model. So... Until such time as module swapouts are ingame - and the modules are purchasable as well (since the 600i is claimed to be modular), I guess I won't be trying any of those tests again. XD (Well, in 3.6 most ships can be bought ingame, but I dread to think how much a 600i will cost... I mean, it's not going to be directly related to the real world purchase price, but given the cost of a constellation phoenix, I'd have to think it'd end up being at least 10 million UEC...)
TA, love your ship reviews so much - thorough, paced well, and honest. We all know that the Origin style guide took over the 300 series, i understand the conformity reasons for design and lore. BUT the M50 hopefully will step outside the mold due to its singular nature. Keep it up, good sir!

@@Texas240 nope, I will need more. You can't even see points of interest on a moon or planet to be able to know where you are and get where you wanna go even if it's 3 km away from you. A nav system is not to be an option on any ship. I don't mind the lack of quantum, I mind being almost blind.

Well, I've got one in my melt box From last anniversary sale. So I'll likely buy it back soon. I like having a Merlin as a quick spawn ship to de spawn something I don't want to leave on the Pad. But the Merlin is very pathetic. And I'm looking forward to racing with the Archimedes. Seeing if those 4 cannons are capable
Just remember that it doesn't have quantum drive capability! You'll need something to transport it if you need to go farther than cruise speed can reasonably get you.

So much air intake no heatsinker will never find it for the engines and it's release of it blasters would be ice cold no heat Sinker will ever find it and on aerodynamics of it also makes you think it's invisible to radar with all the radar and antenna stack to show where it's at.
Really not a fan of the long nose, cockpit to the rear design just looks very unbalanced with all the aircrafts weight to the rear. Reminds me of a futuristic Gee Bee racer, only reason this was required in a Gee Bee, or another long nose such as the f4u Corsair was due to the size of the piston engine hanging out front which isn’t really a problem with these craft.

flight model is SHIT . ships fly the same as in space to me. they should fly like a normal jet in earth like atmosphere and drift when you CHOOSE to use extra thrusters of the future. kinda seems poinless what they did with it

The Archie here is so lightly built it's unlikely you'll lose both wings before it explodes.

Those engine flaps are actuated they go in and out to create more push when closed more...more pressure the smaller the actuators are.

If you look closely at 1:15, it looks like the ship is vibrating. Is that a bug in the game? Or some artifact of your video rendering software?
I looove this one ! It only lacks a navigation system to be able to locate points of interest.
It lacks a quantum drive to be able to get to those points of interest. The ferry ship will have all the nav you need.
