Edith she is the best. Awesome plants. I havent seen again the black one. Is gorgeous. I have a big problem with haworthias and aloes.. There are always full with mealy bugs. they only go in this types of plants. I like haworthias a lot but i am not buying them anymore. Edith you are a star. Thank you Olga. Haworthia and Aloe are definitely favourable by root mealybug because of the thick juicy roots, do have to be more vigilant when it comes to that. New Subscriber here 6/2020. My first video watching you from Texas USA
What drew me in were the Haworthias. We get quite a lot of rain here and have many overcast skies which makes it hard to grow succulents outdoors. When first starting out with Haworthias I discovered mealy bugs down low in my Haworthia Truncata. I irradicated them and the plant is alive but has never recovered fully. It was a beautiful healthy plant when I received it. It did well and hit a plateaua and by the time I found the mealy bugs the damage was done. Broke my heart. All part of the learning curve, right?
What GORGEOUS gifts from your girlfriend. Many I'd never seen before. But I'm definitely on the hunt now. 😍

Frieda Schnell thank you so much 😊 Haworthia are my favourite type of succulent, so many different varieties and they just look awesome. I’ve had to deal with mealybug in the past, with Haworthia that can be an issue as the dreaded root mealybug love them and they can be a nightmare pest to get rid of completely. Hi, I’m currently waiting for my very first shipment of Howarthias and this has greatly encouraged me. But I see there is a huge variety of root systems. I would love to see how you potted them up... thanks for the treat though of the unboxing!
Hi Judith. I have some Haworthia repotting videos on my channel if you’re interested. You’re correct about the root systems, some have very fibrous root systems while others have very tuberous root systems, almost like taproots. 99% are still with me, the variegated Haworthia truncata didn’t make it unfortunately. The top dressing I use is usually part of the mix, either lava rock or zeolite. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
What soil mix you use for Haworthia. I have lot of them but look stressed out . Recently change it more gritty mixture but can’t find them healthy. Can you suggest soil mix for hawarthia
Hi. I use a very gritty mix for mine containing a loam based soil, horticultural grit, scoria (lava rock) and pumice. All in equal parts (25% each). I’ll be doing a more detailed video soon on the mix I use for most of my plants 👍🏻

How do you shoot the segment with the potted plants rotating? What's your setup? It looks amazing!
Nothing fancy, the plants are rotating round on a turntable display. LED lighting which has been improved since filming this video and the footage filmed on a Samsung Galaxy S10. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🏜
