Amazing all of those beautiful Lithops.

Thanks for that, more coming soon.
I’m so glad I’ve found your channel. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, happy to see such a beauty in my life
Thank you for all Knowledge and wonderful Lithops.
this is such a lucky find, your channel... seriously, so many tidbits and random pieces of vital information!! even for us so-called "garden vets" hehe
Thanks Eric, we are lucky enough to have James Lucus as a near neighbour, so ready ton share his knowledge and experience. More random pieces and tidbits on the way......
An amazing collection.
I have 2 small lithops and had no idea how interesting they would prove to be. I almost tossed them thinking they were dead. They split and I am now enthralled and want many more. 😁
Ah I am so envy over this collection!! it is gooooourgeous!!!
Wow! 😍 that's a LOT of lithops!!
Excellent video. I'm just starting to get interested in these fascinating and beautiful plants-now I can see where this might lead! Impressive collection. I'm finding, however, that there seems to be a shortage of books on the subject.
For Lithops the Book- Lithops. Flowering stones by Desmond and Maureen Cole is very good. More general but still very good is Succulent Flora of Southern Africa by Doreen Court and also Lithops - Treasures of the Veld by Steven Hammer
Great video Jonny! Hello from Alberta
You have an amazing collection of lithops and so much knowledge! Thank you sharing. I think you have the most I've seen so far!!
So amazing and beautiful
I love how you polinate you lithops with the brush.
Awesome collection! I could listen to you talk about these all day. I have quite a few species under led's that stay 70 degrees and I just water them like a normal succulent. Probably twice a week.
Interesting as we do not grow under lights. Where are you located and how open is the growing medium ?
This was amazing!!!!
What a great video! Very informative. 👍👍And what a stunning and huge, incredible collection of lithops. I love lithops but quite a number has died under my care. Still got a lot more to learn, I guess. Your video covered everything, from displays, care and guidance to watering and soil mix to planting.
Wow! Thats an incredible collection you have there! 😍 I love these so much but they don't do too well in my type of climate here in Central Florida. I never give up hope and will always continue to try lol
Thanks for sharing a great video! These are mesmerizing ❤
Complimenti sei bravissimo.
oh goodness amazing collection and thank you for the awesome info!! (subbed)
Wow! Love love 😍 I have one year old lithops and some Conophytums etc. this is what i dream of! Thanks for the video. I think it will take me 5-6 years at least to grow and collect to have a decent collection (not like a nursery but as a hobby)for an amateur grower.
Very useful video sir
Thanks for watching.
impressive collection!
I love your collection they are so beautiful ❤️😍 their flowers so pretty just had one but die so sad never get any more 😢💔 don't see any thanks for your video so i can see them
Love everything there.
I want this life! So beautiful 😱
Haaa.... 😍😍😍😍😍😍👍
Edit: Your voice + succulents = 😘👍😘👍😘👍
Thank you for sharing your beautiful nursery! How beautiful! Do you ship to the US? I love that you care for your plants so much
Sorry, do not ship to0 US at present.
Please do a video in watering your Lithops please xx
Que variedad que belleza, los tenés dentro de invernaculo?
Beautiful beautiful collection you have. I have a little question. In case of the sand... is this the fine white sand, we use and throw between the little gaps of your drive way stones in front of your house? Because i don't know if there is any other sand to use?. Great video's!!!🤩🤩🤩
A coarse washed river sand is what we recommend.
@@johnnyAGardening Thank you so much for your answer, i will search for that 😜
Incrível coleção!!
I would love to see a video of the soil mix you used please. thank u.
Coming soon!
I have a question. Having trouble establishing healthy roots. I'm afraid of over watering and killing them. What do I need to do? I love your collection and hope my few plants get to the flowering stage.
Laps often get overlooked. Maybe beginners’ luck, but I’m doing OK with mine in the UK.
Possibly my favourite Lithops is karasmontana and it’s cultivars, for their dreamy appearance
Hello Carol, we will be taking a look at a few Lithops varieties very soon, they are great little plants, not as showy as some other succulents, but magical and fascinating.
Sangat cantik lithops anda
what is the best time of the year to repot lithops? and when do they flower?
Uauuu que lindasss 😍👏👏👏
very beautiful collection they sell seeds lithops?
Unfortunately they do not sell seeds at present.
Caring for these is so confusing. I JUST watched a video that said you water them in the spring and water them once after they bloom in the fall and you do not water them all winter, because they'll live on the water they've stored. They live off the water they've stored as they split and the new plant grows out.
Will have a new video on conophytums coming soon and will look at watering in more detail. Any other issues, so I can get James to address them?
amazing set up! where do you source all your seeds from? Thanks for sharing!
As seen at 8:42 James cross pollinates and collects seeds from his own stock as well as from his contacts with growers around the world . Hope to have a video on seed collection and germination very soon.
Are those planted in full gravel mix or there's soil underneath?
I love that unusual "stacked" looking guy towards the beginning of the video. I think you called it "leftaria magaritae"? I'm having trouble finding those online, do I have the name wrong?
I think the one you are looking for is Lapidaria margaretae... Great Plant....
@@johnnyAGardening thank you, I love the look of it
Got a question mate… getting into growing succulents lately and I noticed a lot of growers have small course white gravel on top around the plant… it’s that the soil mix itself or is it for decoration purposes??
Mostly for decoration, although, if indoors it is said to deter Fungus Gnats as well.....
@@johnnyAGardening cheers mate👍
Ok, so lithops and cocos are self Fertile? Still waiting for flowers so good to know.
No you need two plants as you will see at around 9:10 where the four Lithops in the pot are pollinated one from the other.
Wowwwww 🥰
So many Wow factor plants when you look around, and yes these are WOW
Wowwww beautifull
I love your lethops so beautifull
Collection of lithops flowering
Here in the USA is your Autumn the same as ours? Are you referring to the month or the weather?
We are referring to the season, so Autumn is Autumn/Fall, However, the severity depends on the climate zone.....
@@johnnyAGardening Thank you for explaining it to me as one of us has reverse seasons. You all don't ship to the States do you?
@@mermette Sorry can't ship to US at present.
@@johnnyAGardening Thanks.:-)
Despite the fact that you have impressed almost everyone (including me) with your amazing collection - 8 people somehow felt shortchanged....wow...really??
This is what you focus upon ?
@@strateshooter1402 Sure...ok...you can have say troll...
I have a conophytum calculus and conophytum minutum in California. I have them inside in my home getting indirect light a few feet from a south facing window. They were all very firm until yesterday I watered the minutum and it today I notice some of its leaves are now soft. I'm hesitant to water the calculus now due to this. Neither were pushing out flowers yet. My house temperatures range from 70-75, occasionally reaching 77. And the nights usually in the 70s. I am not near a coast so there is no fog. If I opened the window at night I can bring it down to 66 but I can't now due to wildfire smoke.
Do you have any reccomendations?
Hold back on watering for a week or two, check the soil to see if its moist, check the drainage holes. Consider repotting if the soil has started to degraded and break down. Maybe try to increase air flow, by changing position, or a cooler position in the house at night. See if any of this make sense to do, let us know.
@@johnnyAGardening I gave them a good water a few days ago, I have it potted in only pumice and sand but added a small amount of soil into the mix when I watered. At first the plant did seem somewhat soft again but it has firmed up mostly and is staring to push through the paper. So that's a good sign.
@@johnnyAGardening Thank you for your advice!
@@e.g.1218 sounds promising, fingers crossed...
That's a really amazing collection!! how did you manage to collect them all?
Are u going to sale those plants too
That may be because the UVC Rays from the sun is reaches the earth which can burn the leaves . This has become a problem just recently in the past few years .
Hi, do you have any pink lithops for sale?
You need to go to the Succulents Austrlalia website and look for Lithops optica rubra.
How much do you water them in the fall and winter? I don't know
