- The Disney boat is a special little boat. With some cool history behind it these old merc boats used to be from rentals at Disney down to kids racing them they are definitely some of the most fun you can have on the water, even at 28 years old. Come with me to see if we can get this old 1998 Disney Mercury Water Mouse to run!

My father and I took one out at Disney World in ‘82 when I was 9. I had a blast. Never knew what the boat was called. So glad I found this video.

The boat is called a “mercury mouse boat” I’m currently restoring mine
Such a fun boat, my brother and I rode them in Disney World, maybe 2005ish? We had an insane time, we almost crashed into each other, one of the Disney boat cops talked to us, I think I was 14 or 15. I mayyyy have had my learners permit. Hahah such a crazy time, ill never ever forget it.

This should be a tribute to when Disney was s place we could be proud of , long , long ago. As long as the hull is still solid , but ought to be ( ? ) since it looks light , should clean up well ? Don’t know boats real well but I’d imagine shooting water into the body to look for leaks would be easy ? Low mileage sounds like a deal . Glad you scored it . All in all , that was fun . I remember renting these boats at Disney world I charged to the hotel room that my dad was paying for I went over and over needless to say my dad was severely pissed

Cool little boat. Are you sure you turned the drive shaft the right direction to "set" the impeller fins in the housing? I may be having a brain fart, but it sure looked like you were turning it in the wrong direction. Would work for a while but won't last.
How much does one cost? The way to fill oil it is from the upper seal tho.
