- Favelas in Brazil have such a bad reputation because the media always associates them solely with violence and criminal activities. However, favelas are much more than that, and the majority of their residents are not criminals or bad individuals.
In this video, I am going to visit one of the most famous favelas in Rio de Janeiro, Vidigal, and spend a day with some local favela guys who are pursuing their dreams of becoming successful rappers. You will witness how they live and the obstacles they face while striving for their dreams in a financially disadvantaged favela.
This experience was truly eye-opening for me, and I hope I have done my best to portray their reality.
Respect and admiration are the first two words that come to mind when I think of these young fighters for life.

I remember in a video I seen before a Brazilian told a guy we are all nice/welcoming people yea there bad and good here but as long as you don’t get on our bad side you will always be protected and well respected here people will treat you as family and take care of you as if you were their own

Outstanding work again Timmy, showing us the real side of the Favela's and how genuinely cool people are. I have always been fascinated with the culture since watching the City of God film and one day i'll go myself. We mostly hear about the drugs and violence but this is just vibes.
