    Tested this out personally in Seattle.
    After only 30 min. Felt substantial changes in lumbar and hip compression. My body felt lighter stepping out. Great product

    I’m terms of pain or physical therapy then yes this works. In terms of relaxation and actual sensory deprivation and being at one’s with your thoughts then float tanks are what you need

      Also no more stuff inside your ears and no noise. That's important! Much more sensory isolating than regular float tanks. Can't wait to try it!

    It's a shame 75% of these comments are hating and/or trolling. This really is a genius idea/tool.
    This dude rlly is ahead of the game in terms of rehab bcuz most ppl wait until in injury to rehab.
    He is one of few fitness professionals who realize AND spread the idea that rehabbing poor biomechanics and instituting structural integrity prior to any type of fancy movement or sports specific technique will actually prevent injury and also de stress the organism by creating more efficient movement.
    Huge fan here naudi. Keep up the great work.

  • @TheHouseOfRonin
    @TheHouseOfRonin 6 років тому +1

    Hi, Naudi. Just my opinion, but what if you also invented a neck pillow type of device that can float so one could wear it around your neck when in this tank? That way your neck muscles can relax and even provide decompression to the C spine while you float. Seems like the current way you have to keep holding your head up. Let me know what you think, take care.

    • @functionalpatterns

      Already built into the system. It's actually a requirement to use the machine

    • @diegoonline1
      @diegoonline1 Рік тому

      Hey Naudi, then maybe it would be great to have it shown on the video. I came to your comment by accident and this pillow feature is important for people like me that look primarily for tne whole body relaxation to the point of losing the awareness safely... by the video itself the neck seems unassisted. Showing that on the video may increase your potential customers I guess.

  • @AliUguz

    Hey Naudi, what are your thoughts on spinal decompression by hanging from a bar and spinal decompression techniques used by chiropractors.

    • @functionalpatterns
      @functionalpatterns  6 років тому +3

      floating in water is much different than floating in air. Floating in air is much more localized when it comes to decompression. If the fascia releases on air decompression, it will happen superficially. That's not what we are aiming to do.

    • @AliUguz

      @wendef umg The main problem of traction tables/machines is that before to start your body already had a defensive situations, some muscles tense and some other too much relaxed, etc... and when you start the traction they will increase the defensive situation. Even if traction machines use normal or state of the arts traction to overcome this problem the final results, at least with my back, are nothing or irrilevant or worse

    Will there be a cover over the top so you're in meditative darkness similar to traditional float tanks?

    • @greenlablz
      @greenlablz 6 років тому

      That would be seemingly ideal huh. Would also likely add to the de-compressive effect also as once external stimulus is taken away the body would be able to wholly and solely focus its energies on the anti-gravitational force

    • @ThoseStairsTheFirst
      @ThoseStairsTheFirst 3 роки тому +1

      Darkness is good for sleeping and dreaming. It's not ideal for deep meditation and the state of pure consciousness (samadhi / transcendence). Dim light with 7000-12000K color temperature (simulating overcast sky and/or twilight, blue hour) is ideal for meditation.

    • @functionalpatterns
      @functionalpatterns  6 років тому +9

      water atmosphere is different than air atmosphere. the best thing you'll do on an inversion table is decompress your ankles. On top of that, you can only remain upside down for a short period of time. You can be in this thing for a while.

    So laying down in bed still vertically compresses your spine, but being in water is anti-gravity.

    • @relaxingemotions390
      @relaxingemotions390 4 роки тому

      I have some floating tank as well as back lumbar problems. Yes, for sure, when I lay down vertically in bed or inside my floating tanks some muscles that connect to lumbar vertebrae are not relaxed, worse they become shorter and add pressure to my vertebral disks

    • @yourlocaltoad5102
      @yourlocaltoad5102 3 роки тому +1

      Well, it’s water that’s saturated with Epsom salts and this leads to the water having a higher density than your body does.
      So your body will constantly be pulled up, which would work to counter gravity.

      Using Epsom Salt water solution your body float and a lot in vertical position. Like in standard floating tank you cannot drown. I cannot see how a persono can reverse her body in this decompression tank. Anyway, I agree that it will be necessary a failsafe and it is very easy to find a solution .

    • @yourlocaltoad5102
      @yourlocaltoad5102 3 роки тому +4

      @@mindit808 Just get a container that’s high enough, mount a pulley system to the floor of the container and have a rope with some ankle-cuffs go down there, so you can hold your feet down , add a filtration and heating system and then fill in the water and add enough Epsom salt to create the necessary water density.
      Just look which components you have availiable in your area and within your budget and then research how to properly install them or ask someone with a bit more diy-experience for help.

    When you work without gravitation there is no resistance forcing you brain to learn how to manage you body in normal circumstances People are develop to exist in space with gravitation not without Water gives only one thing if you want to use it It's resistance with moves of your body wich means nothing for me because core stabilization in gravitation situation is always more important You always says that people are develop to run and walk and now you say that they have to stand in water? I don't think so sorry
