I live in Florida and am really considering this as more a 3+ season tent since we don’t get snow. The mesh interior looks nice for better air flow.

Great review Edward... You can also use grocery bags to stake it down in the snow, fill with snow dig out a hole bury them... Or dig down where the stakes go, pound them in the ground then bury them. Looking forward to your testing in the snow. Thanks for sharing, take care.

RedWhite&Blue 78 that sounds like a great idea man, thanks! Will the bag handles hold during very windy conditions? I may have to give this a shot

Grocery bags would be cheaper than the custom made anchors, but there are other ways to make deadman snow anchors. The classic being burying fallen branches tied in a X shape. But as long as you bury them at least a foot deep, most things will work.

Great review Edward! At 8:26 it looks like the video is reversed - the waterfall starts running uphill. Are you testing us to see if we are paying attention. :)

Scott Gamble lol great eye, Scott 👍. I got a little bored during editing and wanted to mess around with the settings a bit. Some people don’t make it all the way to the end of some of my videos , but I’m glad you got to see that 😁

Great review, there really wasn't anything on this tent the last time I looked. Additionally, if the ground is rocky you can wrap the guy lines around rocksor small boulders. We do it all the time in the alpine and it saves us having to carry as many pegs.

Nice review.. Just snagged a Oplalus 3 for 160USD brand new. A big fan of Naturehike products. I already own a Mongar 2. And cloud up 2. Got the Opalus for the monsoon season in S.E. Asia. That huge Vestibule should keep everything dry and enable cooking when heavy rain comes.. Also the right color for stealth camping..

I'm looking into it for Autumn around Canberra (Australia); we get a lot of rain, & I also need something that can cut the wind, as the wind-chill factor is biting (due to us being in a valley surrounded by mountains that still have snow on them, at that time of year).
      How has yours farec?

Great review. I motorcycle camp and have a great 2p tent for solo jaunts, but I need something bigger for my wife to come along. I love the H brand, while awesome just isn't justifiable for me.
How is the condensation in this in normal weather? My SD Flash 2 vents well, and I'm perfectly dry in the morning, but I've heard mixed things about tunnel tents in general.

In the other video the weather was too good to really test it, so I was just curious if you have tried it in more challenging conditions.

Hey Edward ✌️ I've 3 questions: 1. What's the waterproof index of the floor? I can't find it in the Internet 🙈
    2. How warm is it inside? (Because of the inner tent)
    3. Is there an opportunity to just set up the inner tent (when it's warm and dry outside)?
    Thx for your answer ;)

Cool review. Probably more comparable with Hilleberg Nallo? We have Nallo gr4 which is a backpacking mansion once set up. This would be a great alternative if it holds up like the Hillies!

    • @KrokemOutdoors
      @KrokemOutdoors  5 років тому

Dennis Lee really close to Nallo as well, but I compared it to nammatj because of how the vestibule doors unzip. I am planning on testing this on a mountain summit here once it starts snowing, but I have a feeling it won’t stand up to strong winds like a Hilleberg would. You should do some gear reviews, I would be interested in your thoughts about your gear that you have used on your trips! Cheers
