Talent is clearly there but just has to overcome some of his mental barriers. Should look at Billups and Lowry as motivation. Both took awhile before reaching their potential and becoming well-rounded PGs. Still 22, Fultz should come right. Organization stability is a huge factor too. Hope Orlando stay the course with Fultz and help keep his development on track.
Mental barrier? He has a legit injury
Pre Law I think he’s saying the mental barrier came from after the injury. It’s like when people who recover from an ACL tear, once they first recover they’ve gotta learn to trust their bones and muscles again cause they’re scared they might re-injure themselves
Pre Law Gilbert arenas said he had a motorcycle incident after summer league and they covered it up by blaming his new trainer. Gil said his shot is gone forever. U can see he struggles with lifting his arms above his shoulders
It seems that he is still trying to figure out how to play the best way he can with a TOS injury still somewhat present. That's a difficult process to undergo with a spotlight on you. While he tries to make the best of his situation, it'll come with highs and lows in confidence and in belief in himself and belief that his injury will get better as his abilities may waver over time while being treated. I should know, I have TOS myself.

Trading for Markelle Fultz is the best move the Magic made in a long time. Whether he pans out or not, they traded nothing for a young player with tons of upside
Yessir
I wanted to keep him but, the media in sports made it very hard to do so.
Xavier 76th Man he also quit on us
@@vinnybrown1122 no he didn't, his health issues were real, but the team needed to move on and the kid needed a place to rebuild himself physically and mentally.

This dude called Lonzo a bust like 10 games into his career.
Lonzo still a bust tho
@pearboii II For a 2nd overall pick, he is a bust. Sorry, but he is.

When SAS was mentioning no1 bust picks, Man I thought he was gonna go on his KWAME BROWN bonafide scrub rant
Stephen A referred to Fultz as a “colossal bust” before LMAO
Facts like don’t switch up now... keep that same energy two years ago, never gave dude a chance at all
Dat aint how it work. LONZO was a bust too, but he turned his career around. Sports Analyst supposed to call it as its seen, not emotionally based.
I mean he was a colossal bust for Philly just cuz they could’ve had Tatum with Ben and Joel now they got nothing. He can still recover and have a nice career tho.
Nobody knew about his shoulder injury,so it just seemed like he was just bad
@@basedtrell75 one of the biggest problems with America is the idea that if you were wrong before, you have to keep being wrong to "stay consistent" or "keep that same energy." Nah man, if you had a wrong take, fix it.
This was his first full season wasn’t it
Yep
Basically his rookie year
If you can say "full season" lol
Did SAS not literally call Fultz a bust before? Lmao
Pretty sure he did lol
He called him the biggest bust in history like 2 years ago lol
Yep but fultz Proving em all wrong
Analysts change their mind 24/7 and expect us to just forget lol
They're wrong most of the time
He literally can do EVERYTHING at solid or elite level. All he needs is his 3pt jumper back, and it's curtains
Dude is nowhere near “elite”. Stop it 😂😂
Solid, not elite yet
Elite??? Cmon man I think the kid is doing well but this is a stretch and a half. Hes talented. But elite?? Na man
That’s a fact .. elite with everything besides his 3pt shot . Watch what Steven A says next year when he’s an all star
Cedric Kekeke he said he does everything else besides shooting 3s at an solid or elite level .. passing .. ball handing .. defending and finishing
In a parallel universe , Markelle Fultz never had that injury, stayed with the sixers, and he blocks kawhis game winner last year.
Fultz actually closed out game 4 and the Sixers win in 6 and beat the Bucks and the injured Warriors and are NBA Champions
In that same universe kwame brown has big hands and is the bill russell of the nba
So in 2k?
U must be talking about the parallel universe where all the bad players are good and all the good players are bad
So 7' embiid couldnt block the shot but 6'3" fultz wouldve? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
Steve Clifford does it again 👏🏻 arguably one of the most underrated coaches in the league. Vogel had the similar squad and was incapable of manifesting any consistency. In comes Clifford and yes, it’s the East, their five games from .500. But to take fultz, and create better confidence and play. The guy can coach
Indeed. His substitution and his lack of offensive knowledge is his weaknesses
He’s still young and has a big upside
AbM Flow bro it’s his first full year actually being apart of a team’s rotation, he’s on a good trajectory
Most ppl didn't watch him play but he has some impressive moments.. If that shoulder thing can be an issue of the past he'll be a perennial all star.
Yeah, but he needs to become a superstar. Look, Fultz is a pro. He's also getting paid millions. People should not give Fultz the same multitude of chances we just give a regular person who didn't quite turn out the way we had hoped. Those people don't have the luxury of having every resource available to them so they can be the best that they can be. Superstar, perrenial All Star, or bust for me.
@@369pendulum I hope Fultz proves me wrong, but I just doubt it. I watch him play and he doesn't have that IT factor. He hasn't done anything that made me go ""Yup, he's the next All Star/Superstar." He's done very good things on the court, but nothing special.
Was glad he got to go to Orlando. He needed time outta the spotlight of the 76ers to just focus on his game and he's doing just that. Fultz will be fine
S.A.S was restrained from yelling KWAAAAME BROWN
Kwame and Anthony Bennett are the 2 biggest bust ever

Stephen A: “Lonzo is a bust”
Stephen A: “Fultz isn’t a bust yet”
😒
Well yeah
@@ssj-rose4572 Lonzo is better then Fultz at the moment.
@@jakep1979 lonzo is one of the best pg's currently
Yea he’s such a hypocrite
They're both busts. If you go Top 5 you should at least be an All Star. If you're Top 2 then superstar expectations come with being drafted so high. These guys are pros who get paid millions to be GREAT, not average, and so the expectations and judgments are fair.
To be honest, ever since he left Philly, he has been trending upwards. Granted, it's very gradual and slow, but it's still upwards similarly to Lonzo. He could be a solid guard in the NBA, he's tall for the 1 spot, has a ridiculously long wingspan, freakish athleticism and is ridiculously strong for a guard. There was this play that even though it was an offensive foul that the refs let him get away with, he was driving to the basket and he pushed LeBron out of the way like nothing. I don't know about star and he will always have scrutiny for being selected above Tatum and Mitchell, but the dude can be solid guard in the NBA.
These the same guys who called Trae Young a bust halfway through his first season. Lmao gtfoh
Gotta remember he’s still only 22 years old.. finally getting healthy.. this year he looked good.. now he can grow from that and work even harder
He was obviously injured his jumpshot was so pure and smooth in college these anaylisy call everyone a bust until they win championships 🤦
SAS is the one who called Fultz a bust before so he shouldn’t be talking gtfoh
Omar Kabba that doesn’t mean we just forget what SAS said before, SAS calling Fultz a bust that early was ridiculous in the first place, he really thinks we just forgot about that
Kidaan SENGHHHHHH
Arshdeep Singh no it wasn’t dude he wasn’t just dealing with injuries his shot was completely fucked on top of that forgetting about his shoulder injuries he literally had mental issues pertaining to his game. All in the midst of a guy like Tatum in Boston balling out. If Philly woulda had Tatum they might’ve definitely been in the finals.
Stephen A doesn't give any cred to Lonzo Ball... he's really been putting in work this season.
True but what Stephen A think of is that this is the guy the lakers picked over Tatum you know Stephen a also doesn’t give credit to Luka or Ja people who deserve it
38% from three, shooting over 6 three pointers a game. He need to give Lonzo the credit he deserves plus he only had a month to train before this years season.
Nathaniel what Stephen thinks of is that this is the guy you picked over Tatum
@@keishlamontes2190 True, Tatum is great!
He hates lavar
Props to him for playing well even through all the skepticism with his own jumper and from thousands of other people... Respect 💯
I was happy to see this kid shine a little bit throughout this season. I want to see him succeed! We shall see.
The Orlando Magic have a hidden gem 💎
Kelle gonna have one of the biggest comeback stories ever.
I hope he will succeed. Its just something about him that makes ppl like and root for him. He is working hard to coming back. Stay strong bro!
Gotta admit l. Max’s description of Tatum, Zion and Luka was perfect
They called him crazy, when he actually had a real injury. The should actually apologize.,
He going to ball out in the playoffs
"Because I don't feel like being cruel today." lol smh imao
He’s had a good year this year. He isn’t averaging as much as he did in college but he’s gonna get better.
Man you should never call any one and done prospect a bust after 3yrs at least we should give 5 yrs for guys like fultz lonzo etc
Idc what anyone says.. Stephen A Smith needs to stop acting like he knows everything..he has been wrong all his life..
Fultz going places in a few years yall watch. He reppin the DMV out here.
I have what he had with the shoulder pain. It’s insane. I can’t even throw anything overhand. In fact I can’t even throw darts without sharp pain shooting up my whole arm causing it to get numb for like 20 secs.
He’s not a bust he’s just now getting a chance with Orlando and he’s doing his thing 🗣💯
SAS: Not gonna name names cause Im not feeling cruel on this particular day.
also SAS: Kwame Brown and Anthony Bennett.
“The way his shot was compromised it’s was unbelievable to watch”😂😂😂
You can see glimpses of how good he can be at points (for example that game earlier vs the Lakers). Mentally he has to get back to that confidence he had in college
1:46 Kwame Brown ? 😂😂
Markelle never was a bust it’s just that when he got drafted by philly there was so much expectations and pressure on him markelle is gonna be fine in Orlando 💯✊🏽
The problem was that Philly drafted him #1 as a point guard just to have Ben Simmons start at point guard. That draft choice made no sense and it messed with Fultz's confidence.
Jeff Weltman sure like making trades with PHI
Exactly I remember he had a triple double and dub on the lakers. Something usually not seen from a “bust”
Totally true, watch him next year. It’s gonna be fuego 🔥
SasukeDroiid next year is the year, if he doesn’t significantly improve then he is wat he is. They just my opinion.
iSomeTimeCamp The man was a beast in college wit 23 6 6 1 1 40%3P 50+%FG as a 6’3 point guard. With all of that I was still taking Jason Tatum at number one and dearon fox ahead of him. And when a draft player get injured, he should not be called a bust.
They have Jay Williams who was a bust talking about this topic 💀
If anybody knows about a bust he would
Jay Williams didn't get a chance to prove if he was a bust or not. He falls in the category of "what if" not a bust.
@@cannibalmanimal2336 Yes but that doesn't make him a bust but he is stupid for messing up his opportunity. Anyone who watched Jay Will play at Duke knew he was going to be a solid NBA player.
Jay was not a bust by any means
The fact that you Jay Will was a bust shows u don’t know.... the facts!
Jay William's about to start his point? *clicks off video*
Look up the highlights to the Magic-Lakers game from January. He has a lot of talent
He’s solid. May never live up to the expectations we assume, but he’ll continue to grow.
Kwame Brown. That's all I needed to hear😂😂😂😂
He's averaging 12 points per game. Kwame Brown averaged 5 point and Anthony Bennett averaged six. I doubt he could be as bad as them.
Even in his rookie season(which it technically wasnt it was like a reshirt season) he still averaged 7 points which is better then those 2 did
This was practically his first season in the league regarding actual play time after severe nerve damage in his shoulder and averaged 12 5 and 3. Not worth the first overall pick sure but he’s still got a ton of upside.
First round is like a jinx through the years
He been ballin on the magic
If 12 PPG is considered "ballin" for a #1 pick then that's pretty sad lmao
@Matt R did u seen him on philly when he was injured? Shut up clown, clearly u don’t know anything
@@youalreadyknow5003 calm down you get triggered so easily lmao, he still hasn't fixed his shot and he had more of a mental block then anything, no one in history has ever lost their jumper as bad as he did. He's not even injured anymore and he still has the ugliest form in the league
@@youalreadyknow5003 not Ballin but not a bust.
@Matt R yeah idk how he messed up his shot tbh
But Lonzo is LOL, this guy doesn’t make sense.

I’m just happy he is on my team watch when he develops to a Westbrook it’s over for East opposing point guards
Not athletic enough to get a Westbrook comparison, but he’s got Harden potential for sure
Max is a genius. Zion, "The Phenomenon". Sounds catchy.
Dang, keep her lol
Oh, stop it, Stephen A. He hasn’t been staying healthy for the majority of his career
Did you watch or keep track of him during this past season? He played 64 games & played well
Pre Law he’s a bust, stop it.
sorry, idgaf. If he was a bust he wouldn’t be starting rn
I’m big on markelle fultz so I think he’ll make a good comeback and I’m very happy to see him playing once again and he is a perfect fit with the magic
lmao sas so naturally funny
This is awkward. Jay Williams was a huge BUST LOL
Having a career ending injury even though it was self inflicted before their 2nd year should disqualify anyone from being a bust!
theonemrham nah bro, he’s a bust
How was jason a bust? Jason had a great rookie year and during the offseason he almost got his left leg amputated. You have to suck to be a bust clown. You weirdos in the comments always speaking on sports as if you know what your saying.
why did he hold gang signs when he was drafted, good kid LOL
Goodbye Stephen A, last year you LITERALLY called him the BIGGEST bust of all-time 🤦🏽♂️
If he can stay consistent and get on the court, he willdevelop nicely🙏🏽
Really like this guy might not be the franchise cornerstone we thought he would be but def could be a good all around scorer
Fultz oozes talent every time I see him on the court.
Fultz should ask some advice from Steve Nash for offence especially that horrendous jump shot and Gary Payton for his defence. As a point guard he can pattern some of his game kinda mimicking some of the greats that played. I’m hoping for his success in the future.
Max said it perfect right there at the end....
He’s gonna be a good player
If Markelle bounces back and becomes an all-star for multiple years, then that could be one of the best stories the NBA has seen when it comes to "busts" and underachieving players.
Fultz played great this year. He's definitely trending in the right direction.
@0:20 Magic are led by Nikola Vucevic not Aaron Gordon. Don't disrespect him like that. I know he's not a flashy player but he's their best player. ESPN needs to fix that right away.
I was do happy when he came to Orlando! Watch out cuz here he comes!
Rooting for him 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
I still got hope in bro he a true killer on that court go look at his Washington highlights he just had a insignificant injury on his shooting shoulder with all this time without playing he good
He's Was Never Busted He just had to Struggle and he FINALLY Find his nitch I think he's found that with Orlando.
Bruh anyone who has been watching Stephen A for years had to laugh when he said Kwame Brown. 😂
Those freethrow footage we re horrible but sad at the same time
Markelle can play. Period. He is coming back. Its all mental. Loved that take on LeBron... nice.
He's actually been improving
SAS said his free throw shooting was "horrific" lmaooo 😂😂
Thank u
I knew it 😂😂 Stephen A couldn’t help himself
He's balling right now
He reminds me of Brandon Roy he just needs to keep working his shooting
I hope he has longevity in the nba. Thank god he's not on my 76ers anymore
Anthony Bennett
Whoaaaaaaaa
He played well last season and showed noticeable development, just give the kid time
This can easily be a steal for Orlando..he keeps putting in the work he can be a Allstar easily.
Wassup with Jay and the word Ese
I do love that magic gave him a chance hope he succeed
They callin him a bust while playing all 76er highlights and no orlando highlights where he playing good
What I appreciate about max (and jay williams for that matter) is that he critiques, actually. Other analyst love to down right hate and ridicule athletes for their faults where he doesn’t.
I'm starting to believe the motorcycle accident rumor that was floating around
Hoping he does well💯
If only u knew what hes dealing with, he has a thoracic injury its very tricky fixing it ... i know i have the injury aswell and it takes a toll
