      Can we compare Markelle to Drose they have went through the same thing just different ways, aside from the shoulder, they both have/ had mental blocks after something (Drose jumping Markelle Shooting) But developed a game easier for them and smarter to how they play, now drose wasnt a bust and markelle isnt really a bust he is just a flower that hasn't fully bloomed and needs the time and opportunity to be that #1 pick

      “Voluntary” is key though.. Some respectable members in the NBA think that he actually had a BMX type biking accident in the off-season that was undisclosed and kept from the 76ers. That disrupted his shoulder and inevitably forced him to get more medical help. Don’t know if it’s true but it would help explain a lot of the confusion.

He was playing better in Orlando, so I hope he continues to grow as a player. I completely understand why he was intimidated by big market teams too.... I couldn't imagine being a young, 19 year old player, playing for one of the most passionate/intense fanbases in the league. Just thinking about that makes me nervous. "Thoracic outlet syndrome" is PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE. He's changing forms to try to avoid the worst of the agony, but some people just aren't built to do some things, and in my opinion - just mine - these kids who were playing so much, so young, have really accelerated their own decline. The nerve damage is probably MOST painful doing exactly what basketballers DO most, like, jump shots and free throws? Have you noticed just HOW MANY Heisman Trophy winners now just... disappear? I know, football; but 2011 - RGIII wins as a junior - 2012 Johnny Manziel wins as a freshman; 2013 Jameis Winston, freshman. All of them superstars way back in HIGH SCHOOL? Superstars at 17, mentally and physically their health is ALL BURNT OUT - at the age of 25. Fultz is trying to "play through the pain" like how Real Men do - so hopefully he can at least afford a snazzy wheelchair and a real comfy coffin.

      It was very inaccurate. Once he was diagnosed on Dec 4, 2018, everything that Markelle went through before then was very explainable. It was 100% physiological problem of a compressed nerve in the right thoracic outlet at the base of his neck. Instead Dylan chose to deny his n-TOS and suggest he was lying or had some mental condition. Most Sixers fans still don't know the truth, thanks to medically inept people like Keith Pompey. And for Markelle to go through 10 months of daily PT was remarkable. There was no mention of the Performance members spreading lies to the media. They were eventually fired. They botched the Zhaire Smith episode also.

Feeling your body vs over thinking. His mid-range is always, ALWAYS beautiful, it's his FT and 3P that blocks him which are both more static shooting motion. The reason why his pull-ups look that beautiful is because he doesn't really to rely on the power coming out of his leg, he can basically jump, stretch his body, and shoot rather than systematically transferring power from his legs and nobody even realize this point at 76ers. When it’s one…it’s on him when it’s two it’s worrisome but when a team has 3 top prospects psychologically forget how to shoot it’s a pattern at the team…..Michael carter Williams, Markelle futz and Ben Simmons….all top picks all played for the 76ers….

      Come on were going on 5 years now! Every year it's some new problem or injury. A #1 pick only averaging 13 isn't very good either and just very mediocre. Hes too soft and at best might be a good role player in the years to come. Hes been a huge bust so far and so far there hasn't been anything hes done to prove otherwise.

      it's nerve damage. thoracic outlet syndrome is the compression of the nerves and blood vessels in the shoulder. basically explains everything perfectly.

    you see this in baseball a lot where players forget how to throw the ball and loose timing when to release the ball from their hand, they wind up throwing the ball wildly in the air or even straight down to the ground where their standing when it should be going to a teammate to make a play... purely mental from anxiety/stress.. these motor actions are automatic like breathing but after the first time it occurs the player can't help but think about it everytime he performs the action again. it's why Fultz can still shoot while in motion as his minds preoccupied and not obsessing about how to shoot properly

    • @Darthtanos
      @Darthtanos 2 роки тому

      unfortunately, that's not it. he's dealing with thoracic outlet syndrome, which is compression of the nerves and blood vessels in the shoulder by the collar bone. it's basically nerve damage. it results in muscle weakness, numbness, and pain, and can degenerate to the point that you basically can't use your arm at all. that's why in shots where he's generating force from his legs he's fine as his hands and arms are just guiding the ball. when he has to generate the force from his arms/shoulders he basically can't get one arm to work correctly, which results in the screwed up shooting motion. feeling like someone is holding his arm down when he tries to raise it up is a classic symptom of this.

    It’s almost guaranteed 1 of 2 things happened, either A. He did get injured and they just missed it, happens all the time. Or B. They tried to force him to change his shot that far into his career and it basically ruined not only his shot and form but also his confidence
