He got a shoulder injury, but just team doctors have been dealing with it. Now he's seeing a specialist, and yes he might need psychological help for his brain/muscle connection. It's not just something to come back from easily.

    • @haywood0457
      @haywood0457 5 років тому +26

Its psychological. Same thing is happening with lonzo ball. It's happened in ma y sports many times. I can recall Rick Ankiel, pitcher for STL cardinals, he was an excellent pitcher then all of a sudden couldn't throw a pitch remotely close to the plate. Also chuck knoblach on MIN twins, he was an all star 2nd baseman then couldn't throw from 2nd to 1st for anything. Mental issues.

I was a 19 old kid who joined the Navy and realized right from the moment i boarded my plane to go to Chicago that i was not making the right choice for myself, There were moments in Bootcamp where i would sit there and think of all the ways i could get myself sent home but did not want to feel like i failed then when i joined the fleet those thoughts became daily occurrences. I would purposely avoid doing all the little things they ask you to do shave get my uniform ready for inspection. But did not want to fail so i forced myself to go to work every day at 3am i would push through the day go home and by time i hit my 1 year mark. I would go to work go home got sleep get up at 12 get ready go to work until the weekends then sit in my room and watch TV out side of command PT work and the occasional 10 minute walk to Chillis i wouldn't leave my room. Until one day after them canceling my leave. I blew up and said i was done a month and half later i was on my way back to Ohio. Markelle Fultz is a 20 year old kid who was basically told go and save a franchise then got hurt and has had his issues aired all over the world through internet and sports media go and get Markelle not for your Basket Ball career but for your mental health.

I just dont understand why the sixers are in " win now" mode. Their "core" guys are on rookie contracts and are young af. Should be aiming for in a couple years after Thanos snaps that warriors team into unversial balance. But too late they already got into the kids head because they wanted to prove their tanking waa worth the embarassment.Sixers actually suck at drafting and got lucky on a couple of obvious high picks. Kid needs time not discouragement. Hows Jahlil Okafor doing and how come he didnt get this much shit?

Markelle Fultz does give off the impression that he does have anxiety disorder. Maybe even depression. I understand this as much as anyone who struggles with this. It's not just, "Oh he or she has mental issues." This is his health we're talking about. Stress kills. He needs to take care of his body - his gut, mind, and overall health. Your health is #1. Obviously I am nowhere near an NBA player. I'm just saying from a mechanical standpoint, it doesnt stop me from taking whatever my normal crappy shot is.
I would buy that these problems are caused by a rotator cuff issue, bursitis, or impinged tendons/tendonitis. But a scapular imbalance? Nah.

    As a philadelphia sports fan.
Nelson Agholor is a prime example of what Markelle Fultz is now.
Agholor couldnt catch to save his life, looked like a bust for the first two seasons of his career, was quite frankly, about to be cut from the team, then he came out and admitted he has anxiety issues, and since then...........hes finally turned into that 1st round pick he was supposed to be.
My educated guess is after that public admittance, he was quickly given the correct treatment he needed from day one and is on something that has made his anxiety disappear.
This is exactly what fultz is going through in my opinion, and im not gonna lie, I wanted Agholor out of town, but once he said the anxiety shit I felt bad for the dude because its exactly what I have as well so I know what its like.
Same thing goes for Fultz right now, to be frankly honest, im about over this dude as we speak right now.
He pretends hes too strong to admit he has mental issues and keeps blaming his real problems on made up shoulder injuries and now apparently his wrist has phantom issues as well.
When he shoots the ball in that almost frozen, stiff manner, thats a prime example of somebody dealing with anxiety, believe me, I know what its like to have it effect me.
What makes this theory even more convincing to me is how I saw his offseason workouts and he looked like he was perfectly fine, and then as the season went on, it slowly reverted back to what it was prior.
Its all in his head and until he comes to terms with that and doesnt feel like hes not a man if he admits it, hes not going to have a very long career.
He strikes me as a man who doesnt believe in psychological issues and I think hes too proud or whatever to admit whats really going on with him.
I mean after watching Amari Cooper publicly troll Fultz on national tv with his touchdown celebration and then seeing Fultz just laugh about it in his reaction.
Fultz is just giving me one bad vibe after another, that tells me he doesnt care enough to get his problems fixed and thinks its funny when people mock him for his quickly fading nba career.
The last thing someone should do when they're being publicly humiliated on national tv is just laugh it off when the reason they're being humiliated is because of something they can fix, but arent doing it and thus make everyone who roots or works for the team look like a complete moron and embarrassed to say we chose you.

If I recall correctly he shot well while on Knicks then when raps signed him he ended up having some kind of nerve damage in his wrist or something and could never shoot well again. It's not necessarily a mental issue. He may be dealing with type of task specific dystonia which can occur more often in people who practice highly repetitive motor activity (musicians in particular are prone to this). He should get an opinion from a neurologist that specializes in movement disorders if he hasn't yet already as it is probably not an orthopedic issue.
