    Wasn't Helms death well known?
I remember that after the death of his last son, thus ending his line, he became more grim and started to raid the besiegers on his own every stormy night.
Blowing his horn before he began to cause fear among the besiegers.
The damage he caused made some Dunlanders think a ice troll was roaming around at night.
During the worse storm Helm went out and did not return, his horn being heared many times that night.
When day broke the men of Rohan realized that the besiegers had given up and fled during that night.
Helms body was found, frozen but uprigh, his eyes locked on Dunland.

Ok, this is an edit. Several details:
-At the chamber of Mazarbul an orc chieftain led the attack, not a troll.
-Saruman did not corrupt Théoden but filled his mind with fear and doubt.
-Uruk-hai is an umbrella term for all orc-kin but it is generally used to specifically refer to a taller and stronger breed of orc that can move under the sunlight. These were first bred by Sauron, not Saruman. There were big uruks in Mordor as well, Saruman just managed to secure some for his own ends.

Just to clear something up. Aragorn was actually not a descendant of Anarion through the male bloodline. Aragorn descends primarily from Valandil. Isildurs 4th son. Who only had the right to rule Arnor. Anarions line went completely extinct when the last king of Gondor confronted the Witch king of Angmar and never returned. Because of this Aragorn never automatically had the right to rule Gondor, this was something he earned through his actions during the war of the ring.

PLEASE do a series on Joe Dever's Lone Wolf! Its a sprawling fantasy epic, done in the "Choose Your Own Adventure" style of an RPG, but with cannon "correct" plot lines. The first book, Flight in the Dark, was reprinted recently by my good friend Ben Devere, son of the late author. I KNOW he would love to habe his and his fathers work presented on your channel, we've talked about it a few times.
In many ways, Lone Wolf was one of the most important fantasy series ever written, though it is little known here in the US. It would be AMAZING to see you guys do a series on it!
Another series on Raymond Feist's Rift war series and Codex Alera would be awesome!

Very good video- But I have a minor correction - as far as I know, the orcs who fled south because of the attacs of the dwarves even made strongholds in the White Mountains, not just in the Misty Mountains and areas around. So it took a long time until there were no orcs north and south of Rohan at the same time.
The orcs who attacked the fellowship were a "combined" force of Uruks from Mordor, Uruk-hai and Northerner Orcs (who were just after revenge for their slain comrades in Moria).

Not sure how many would know about this BUT when I was a young man, early teens or so I was really into a series of books by an author named Joe Dever called 'The Lone Wolf'. They were as close to playing an RPG as books would get, a 'choose your adventure' types that were not linear in their telling, but ultimately there should be some base lore for that universe and it was the only books I personally could ever find myself urged to read and keep going, buying as many of them as I could find at the time. The universe was extremely and enthralling and I think 'could' make a good addition and bring maybe some people that wouldn't maybe otherwise be here, There HAS to be other people like me who've kept the feelings all these decades that the series gave you when reading the books. Just a thought and a suggestion if in any way you'd be willing to see if it could meet any criteria you have. Thanks for your time in these....

I believe this channel made their video based on the books, instead of the movie and I appreciate that so much. I have no problems with the movie, they are wonderful movies, probably one of the best movie that I have ever watched. But it is true that some details and information were changed in the movie, in order to make it more dramatics maybe?? But in order to truly understand the lore, I believe we must look to the books instead of just the movie, and for that I truly appreciate this channel. Hope you guys keep up the good work.

Very nice video. As usual beautifully made and visualised.
But the end was a bit disappointing. The Breaking of the Fellowship happened at on Hen, as it was on the zoomed in map. But when zooming out they still were at Lorien and Frodo and Sam travelled to Mirkwood with Gollum on the videos map, not through Emyn Muil as it should be.

Hey wizards and warrior it's not a battle not a war but I'd love it if you'd cover more of the watcher in the lake and the other creatures that lurk in the darkness, I couldn't find enough information on it and I think it'll be very interesting
