Neither doctors nor engineers should come to civil service. It should be discouraged because civil service not exploiting their expertise and skills at the same time denying opportunities to other those who really want to become an engineer or a doctor.
What are the skills do you think a civil servant should possess. Get an idea about that first. Have you heard of right to equality. On what basis are you claiming that they 'should not be allowed'!?? So whom do you think are the perfect people to get into the service??? Arts graduates? Well, then someone who completed a BA course in English could be some poet and contribute to the cultural heritage of this nation. A nursing graduate also can be denied a chance to write the exam so that we will have enough no of nursese here..lol After exams these people are getting trained on administrative affairs. If you don't have much idea about that, take time to gain some information. Also nobody is forcing an engineer or doc to take civil services exam and 'denying' their chance. It's their choice to decide whether they want to do that. If going by ur idea , Google is denying Sundar pichais chance of becoming a metallurgical engineer by appointing him as their CEO.
