- We use Redshift lighting and sub surface scattering to create nice colored plastics and glass to recreate some vibes from the Microsoft Office 365 Advert style back in 2018.

THANK GOD YOU ARE BACK.
Yea buddy!
Thanks - as always! 👍
Expressive tutorial, appreciate!
Thank’s!
Thank you!
Dooooope!! Keep up with this awesome videos!! ;)
Brilliant and fun to follow-:) Thanks!
Trying to figure out how to create it with a new Standard material, but thanks
can i get octane ver?😅
Is there a reason you used an actual object to block the light source instead of using a gobo?
Thanks for sharing!
Just because some people don't have access to gobos. I will try to show alternatives that are accessible to everyone. Anyone can add geo. Gobo would work just as well. Just a teaching moment really :)
Please upload its Design and Animation tutorial Plzz
hey there -- can you explain how i would export a glass text title as a transparent image to lay over a photo in photoshop? there isn't a single tutorial on how to do this. thanks!!!
It might be easier to take the photo into C4D as a texture on a plane that way the glass will refract and reflect the photo correctly. Does that make sense?
@@effectatron hey - thank you for this speedy ass reply!!! - yes it did occur to me. the issue is that this graphic is a logo for a podcast in which the people hosting the podcast want something they can easily lay over a different image each week depending on their guest. i don't think they want the designer to have to get involved much because this is for club DJs without a ton of money. so i basically want a giant PNG file of the logo i can pass off. i am starting to wonder if i should just export a flat luminance channel of the extruded logo and then just make a glass bevel over that in Photoshop. getting something clear/clean out of C4D for this kind of purpose feels nearly impossible.
@@siegelstudio ah, I see. That makes sense. You can can export out the glass text with an alpha channel. But you'll want to do something in Photoshop to make it blend better most likely. Sorry I don't have an instant fix for ya but you might have the right idea to do the distortion in Photoshop
@@effectatron I can’t find a single video tut about exporting a transparent material image as a PNG from RS. Plenty of videos explaining setting up the material but nothing on getting it out of the program….
Can you teach this using Corona Renderer?
Sorry I have not used Corona
Very easy to follow for a Redshift noob. With the new standard redshift material, the subsurface and transmission are separate fields. I don't really notice a difference when I set my subsurface color to another color. Is it supposed to interact with the transmission color?
Thank you! I cover that in this video actually ua-cam.com/video/DmeiTnrqp3I/v-deo.html
