Ash looks SOOO happy to be there! Erm, Wildtrak interior is so much more appealing, I find all of the other trim levels dull. I have ordered the Wildtrak based on that alone. For off-roading, visibity, ramp over angles etc, are all relative and will be what they are. You drive to what you have and consider the cameras a bonus, not the be all and end all for front visibility.

Hahahahaha 🤣🤣 Ash was happy for this one, loves her Rangers. Shame she has resting bitch face 🤣🤣
I really liked the black roof lining in the Wildtrak for what $2.5k more than the sport it's definitely worth it hey👍👌

Thanks for your thoughts but just to clarify the 2021 PX3 has 231mm ground clearance, also the camera 360 is standard on the Wildtrack, and as for the snorkel comment the new 300 series does not have a snorkel it is a raised air filter and as such is not water tight so no they don't all come with a snorkel. The previous neighbor had a 79 series and I was surprised at the amount of times his car had engine issues over 1 year he was doing repairs or having his mechanic come around to fix it more than 15 times.
I will be getting a V6 Wildtrak next year after this current lease expires mid year. What color did you select?

Yep, that's why we swapped from the sport the the Wildtrak. Why pay for the touring pack on the sport if the Wildtrak it's included with much much more 😊
Yeah I've heard the factory Toyota snorkel/ raised air intakes do not work well.
We went with the grey for ours, just feel the grey with the dark Wildtrak accents works well. What colour are you thinking?

@@Off.Track4x4 I would really like to hear more form your experience of towing especially once you get the new car sorted because our van is just under 3000kg. I get on average 14.5l per 100km towing on bitumen not much through the hills.
Also I bought an Ultra gauge to monitor the trans temps etc. has been great I towed on 38 deg C minimal wind at 100kph and the trans temp never got higher than 74C or 165F in our Wildtrak X 2.0 ten speed 2021

@@Sabumnim666 Is yours an Auto or Manual?
I think you will be blown away at how good the Next Gen Ranger is for towing compared to your current one! they were deigned for towing, that was one of ford Australia's main focus, to have the best ute in the class to town a big van.
With that said.... if your wanting to get over 200,000kms from it I would look at a different car. The little Lion 6 cylinder motor has been tuned and pushed harder then it ever was in the Disco 3 and the F150. You ad in regular towing I don't see the motor lasting that long. I could be wrong but ford have really pushed the limits with the lion motor. What do you think?

@@Off.Track4x4 Hi all the bi turbo motors are paired with the 10 speed, always have been. The lion motor has had 3 different cranks for different firing and improved reliability etc and is not as hard pushed as it was when it was the 2.7 twin turbo iteration in Europe and for that matter it is less stressed than the new 3.3L V6 Landcruiser.
As for lasting this sort of comment has been made so many times to so many motors etc and humble pie has been the meal of choice. Remember the AU ford we had one and it was well over 500,000km when we sold it and it still went for years after we only had 1 head gasket weep yet these were not a great motor.
If you only heavy towed get a Ford F 250 that are made for that purpose.

Nice review. It sounds like the Wildtrack is the right choice for you. If others are thinking of a 79 series, things to remember is that dealers are supposedly not taking orders as the wait times have blown out, but in WA there are some second hand ones from the dealers with less than 100km on the odometer that are available for $106k-$110k mark

Yeah we missed out by 1 day on ording a 79.
Toyota told us the government is putting pressure on them for the lack of safety and V8 diesel. So the 79 probably won't come into Australia anymore, if it does expect the V6 and 5 star safety.
Ash loves the Ranger I'm still not sold almost 80k for a car is a stupid amount of money. I guess watch this space.......

Toyota wants to stop people flipping them - BUT the dealers are also selling over RRP 'used' ones LOL. The Ford dealer near my place (not far from the Toyota dealership!) has all these 'used' new Toyota's on the used car lot with less than 100 klms and no registration?! 300 series, Dual Cab Landcruiser and Hiace vans all for sale way over RRP...............

The Next Gen Ranger V6 Turbo has 30% more Kw, and it's very noticeable. We have a 2017 Tickford Ranger 3.2ltr, and our new V6 Turbo Next Gen slaughters it in power! I don't know what is wrong with this one you are driving to say it doesn't feel like it's got as much power as the older 3.2????

    • @Off.Track4x4

G'Day Tony, we drove a Wildtrak and a sport both of them had more acceleration but it felt like it took alot longer to get to it and you needed to really work the peddle to bring it on. I think the ECU throttle response is very different in the 6 cylinder to try and keep it light on fuel.

@@Off.Track4x4 mate I really feel our new V6 Turbo Wildtrack shits all over our 2017 3.2 Tickford Ranger, I don't think the 3.2 comes close to the power of the V6 in any area's. As you say later in the video, I don't think you were on the throttle hard enough. It certainly wasn't the truck, 30% more Kw is a Shit-Tonne!
