My partner and I are heading out for a morning walk through the redwoods, but first I’m warming my body in the claw foot bath I filled up during my practice while this adorable space fills with golden light. All of the love to those who live with Vertigo and similar disorders but tackle life like a boss 💪 (which is all of you! You’re doing great!) have a wonderful Sunday everyone ❤️ namaste Adriene and Benji 🙏
I have migraine-vertigo, which is very debilitating. I have been fostered with this chronic illness off-and-on since 2008. I will be doing this yoga daily, as it helps tremendously.
Balance Day 3: I am not experiencing vertigo today but I found this practice has helped me start my day with calm energy and has replaced some of my negative thoughts. The breathing exercise was especially calming and I hope to remember it when I need it in the future.
Today is one year of yoga for me, I started with 30 day challenge and didnt stop for all 365 days! I LOVE opening my heart and letting the LOVE lead the way. Thank you Adriene
A week ago I had a sudden, intense vertigo episode that hasn’t abated for even an hour. I’ve been through multiple scans and a number of specialists with no relief. I’ve had to take leave from work, cancel all my plans and start trying to come up with an entirely different future if this persists. Finding this video today has made me feel better, as it’s a sign I might not have to leave everything of my life behind now. Thank you for all your inclusivity in your work.

Hi, May I ask how your vertigo has gone, or if you have a diagnosis? Im at the same point now, sudden vertigo since two weeks and the doctors havent found anything
@Lene-ib7qz have you found any relief yet? I've got inner ear issues but have been dealing with vertigo for the last 10 weeks with no end in sight. My doctor seems to think it won't be a lifelong thing, but it's been daily, multiple times a day. I'm doing physical therapy exercises but nothing seems to help. I haven't worked since May. It's terrible.

Tears welling in my eyes the entire practice - why? I still don’t fully know, but this was an emotional practice for me. Thank you for the help and guidance, namaste.

My senior dog decided to lay down in the middle of my mat and took a nap. Usually he leaves, when I move, but this time he decided to stay. So I felt very supported by my dog, laying under my legs napping away, while I tried to work around him (didn't really work, but we both enjoyed it). That was really nice and calming. Nice, calming sequence for everyone involved. :)
Yoga is a priority for me. It is one of those things so essential to my days, like eating, showering, or going to the gym. I really love yoga, and I'm so excited for January 2022's new 30 day yoga journey
Adrienne-I just started experiencing vertigo a couple days ago and have been feeling quite helpless... this was so beneficial in getting me to slow down a couple paces. Such a gift opening UA-cam to see this video on the top of my suggestions. Thank you!!
Checking in for Day 3 of Balance (December 2021) 📆 I found this session to be really calming, and perfect to complete just before bed. It was so relaxing! Namaste to all those practicing ♥️
I started your Yoga videos 2 months ago. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for providing free and beautiful programs for a healthy body and mind. I suffer from chronic vertigo. I woke up yesterday with a bad case of it. I remember seeing a title of your videos about vertigo. I figured why not. To be completely honest when I started the video I was not convinced it would help. Ever after, I still had the vertigo. Then a couple hours later it was improving. By the evening my vertigo was gone!! I literally cried. Usually when the vertigo comes back it last for months. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For any doubters out there. This works!!!!
Was not feeling well today, I felt rejected and unmotivated. But investing time in my practice really gives me the space to be there for myself and let go of the negative feelings that don't belong in my space anymore . I'm gonna save this one for an emergency 🙏
Could I please make a request for a yoga flow, or meditation, geared towards eating disorders? I go back and do your flows and meditation for stress and anxiety, but was wondering if there was anything new, or different, you would do for that. I’ve been struggling for months now with my relapse, and I just want to be able to find something that can let me escape this destruction for a half hour, or less. It doesn’t really matter on the time, I guess. Thank you, Adriene. I always feel hopeful after a stressful Saturday when I see the notification pop up that your weekly flow is up. I’m usually too exhausted to do it at this time, so I wait for my body to rest a bit and then will do it later in the morning. And for anybody else having a tough day, it’s okay to ask for help. There’s a lot of people in the world that want to see you succeed, in good health, and full of happiness. Don’t be afraid to tell someone you’re struggling; they may be able to point you in the right direction. Anger, sadness, loneliness....they’re emotions just like elation, bashfulness, and confidence; go ahead and feel them. Don’t bottle them up because they’ll just come back stronger. It’s okay to feel negative emotions as well as positive ones. Love you all! 💜
I am currently doing her 30 day yoga. And I am what people call a binge eater. I starve myself and then eat everything in sight. It's well unhealthy. Doing yoga has really helped to make me aware of my body. I'm so sorry to hear this but just know I am here too. And doing her yoga everyday. Would it help to do it at the same time? So we don't feel so alone? I'd very much like that. Let me know!
My mum text me this morning to say she was suffering from vertigo so shared this practice with her to try. Nice to know that me and my mum have shared this practice today, even if we couldn't do it together in person
Day 3 Balance: What a nice way to check in with my body after a long work week. Feeling peaceful afterwards. I enjoyed the alternate nostril breathing practice.
Perfect timing to start a recovery phase from both a physically and mentally overwhelming week of deadlines that needed to be met before the end of the year. I really went to the point where I started falling asleep on the computer desk while doing work on an assignment. I guess whoever told me to put my well being first was 110% right about it. Time to care for myself in the most loving way I can for there's no one that will care for me as much as I do for myself. Thank you, Adriene for having my back even on the days that I'm not on top of things. You truly are a one of a kind soul to be around. Keep shining light and bringing smiles as you always have been to this day. Much love. Namaste.
My 5 1/2 months of vertigo dissipated about 3 weeks ago. I am not sure that I could’ve done this one during that time. However I did find that your “Yoga for neck and shoulder relief “ was really helpful to me and made me feel so much better . I continue to do that one and will add this one, as well, since it seems to be a good thing for me right now. It is about 2 1/2 minutes longer than this one.
Are you kidding me! So I have been hoping you would put out something like this since I started watching you, I have had bpv for about a year and just today started to feel it coming on again, this is just happiness right here.....thanks again Adriene
Thank you for this video. I live in Prague and we are celebrating 30 years since Velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia and it is very emotional, full of joy, tears and gratitude. We are proud of this non-violent transition of power in Czechoslovakia in 1989, when popular peaceful demonstrations against the one-party government of the Communist Part really made a huge change. I really need to find quiet place after this intensive weekend 🙏
A true gift of loving kindness from you today Adriene, I feel blessed 🤗💞 I have suffered from vertigo in the past but thankfully not so much recently. This practice is so full of thought and love, with eyes closed I felt like I was wrapped in a cosy blanket, listening to your soothing words. It definitely has full effect and benefit with eyes closed ! Feeling content for the rest of my Sunday thank you Adriene and see you tomorrow on the mat 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
i've had a lot of stress lately and i was kind of stuck with my mental health and for some reason with all the rushing and worrying i forgot yoga. did this practise before bed and in a long time, i can say, i feel happy right now, in this moment. thank you so much Adriene, your practises and love are appreciated💛
This is crazy! I have literally been having vertigo and intense dizziness for the last 2 weeks! Usually my vertigo periods are a short 2-3 days every couple months (thank God), but it just hasn't been letting up this time yet. Wow. I was amazed when I saw this notification at the top of my phone. Thank you 💜🙏
Same here. It's been bad all week. Yesterday and today even worse with nausea. This was incredibly timely. Hope it gives relief to others too. Namaste 😊
@Fanta I've looked it up before on google and even chiropractor videos on youtube. I have found what I believe the cause is for me and for possibly most people: "Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo -- positional vertigo or BPPV -- is caused by movement of an otolith -- a tiny calcium particle the size of a grain of sand -- from the part of the ear that senses gravity to the part that senses head position. The person feels as if their head is turning when it isn't. A two-minute therapy done right in the doctor's office can move the otolith back where it belongs and fix the problem. This therapy, called the Epley maneuver, cures vertigo 80% of the time". I do think the vertigo could be from that because I saw a chiropractor video that used a test to see if it was. Which was: you lay down on the end of your bed, with your head kind of dangling off the end of the bed, and then turn your head to the left side (with your left ear facing the floor), do this on the other side too... If either movement causes you to experience vertigo (while your having the day(s) long spells of vertigo of course) then they said it is because of the otolith being misplaced. For me it is always on my left side. So I do believe it can be helped/even cured with the "epley maneuver". I guess I've just always put it off because I'd only experience it for a couple days, but this time it's much longer so I really should go get help for it. Hopefully that helps you too. 😊
As I went to bed last night with terrible vertigo in thought to myself "in the morning I'll check if Adriene has ever posted a "yoga for vertigo" video. And here we are!!!! Thank you!
I've suffered from vertigo off and on since falling during roller skating 4 years ago. This morning I've been feeling dizzy and tired. This showed up in my feed today. Perfect timing. Thank you.
One day behind already, no judgement.. this was exactly the perfect time, when I was in my head a about crap. Slow me down cleared my mind! Ty! Day3 💗💗💗 see later
Thank you so much for this Adriene! I had to stop one of the 30 days because it made my virtigo worse. I believe it’s due to hormone changes in peri menopause for me. It’s been 5 months with no yoga and I miss it so much. Only dawned on me to day to search for this option on your channel. Thank you for being so inclusive. This was great and hasn’t worsened my symptoms. Please do more videos for virtigo if you can. Thanks 🙏😊 xx from Ireland 🇮🇪
I battle migraines daily and vertigo comes along with it. Yoga and meditation always eases the pain. Floor work is what feels yummy to me. Thank you for what you do. Namaste❤️
Ah, thank you, amiguita. One of my hopes of yoga was to have better balance as I grow older. I watched my mother lose her sense of balance over her later lifetime and wanted to prevent that. My hope is being fulfilled. Truly, yoga has given me so much more than I’d hoped for, I’m very grateful. ❤️
I am dealing with ear infections in both ears this week so I have been dizzy off and on almost everyday. I have struggled to get to the mat all week but I came across this practice today and WOW it was exactly what I needed. The breathing exercise while normally I'm not a big fan of the nostril breathing was exactly what I needed to do today. I'm feeling so refreshed and feel that I can get through this day while the medication I'm on kicks in and I start healing. Thank you Adriene!
Thank you, Adriene. You are a constant source of inspiration and peace to me. I do your yoga every day and, at this point, I can’t live without it. Love from Guelph, Ontario.
Thank you so much! I’ve been dealing with BPPV (vertigo essentially) this whole year and I’ve been wanting to feeling like myself again after not being able to do my routine, thank you so much for posting this!
Peridot Universe I know how you feel. I was diagnosed with vertigo earlier this year and since then I’ve had difficulty with my daily yoga routine. My sense of balance is way off and I find a lot of standing poses I once found easy, impossible to do now.
Thank you. This practice felt like a gentle reminder that life is okay, and no matter what things still go on. And it feels good to move, even if it's low and slow. 💕
Hey adriene! I'm here again after a year for my vertigo problem, I still remember I came to this for controlling and calming my anxiety and m literally emotional rn I missed your voice, calming myslef with you... But happy that I don't have to put myself through that bad health condition again.. So here m gonna follow this for my vertigo. Happy to see you again 😍
Thank you. I'm autistic and sometimes looses all sense of balance and become disoriented. Todays practice wasn't physically challenging and although I've relaxed all day, it's really nice to just take this slow moment to simply be. This day has been full of plusses and I can't describe how good it's made me feel! The nostril thing really let all my snot flow out and when we took the first breath I was SHOCKED at the feeling
KNOW 🔮 | June 2, 2024 | I swapped this in on day 2 of the Get to Know calendar as I'm experiencing vertigo today, and of course there's a yoga for that! Much appreciated! 🙏
Thank you Adriene!! I have had some sort of back pain for over a year now. I am stubborn and did not want to go to the Chiro (have never been and am a baby) so have had faith that my yoga will "fix" it. Well.....it did. I did a few videos Saturday and early Sunday morning I flopped over in bed and my lower back/hip area cracked about three times/places then I was able to pop the center of my lower back. I have not been able to do that for months and I am happy to say that today I am back pain free at last! Fingers crossed it stays that way!! I love your video's out of all I have tried on youtube. Thank you, thank you!!
The hand pressure points really helped. I highly reccomend. I woke up with bad vertigo and no emergency medication so this was very helpful. I will use the pressure points on and off the mat!
First time seeing this one! I found it rather sensual, very fitting for me. And the release of stored emotion feels wonderful. Thank you Adriene as I would likely not have clicked on this one had it not been on the calendar for December. 💜🙏 Balance day 3. 425 days in a row.
Here too as part of the December Balance routine. Nice to concentrate fully on the breath before starting the day. Will bookmark it to comeback too when I feel the need to find some calm and focus. Thank you Adrienne!
@@sandaskoro Thank you. It started with 1 and followed numerous periods in which I missed days, weeks, months, and if I go back far enough, years. It is different this time because I began holding myself accountable and at various points during the year plus journey, I realized that thw short daily practices had been adding up to noticeable differences. Just keep getting to the mat. I appreciate your thought. 💜🌻
The most common form of dizziness is called Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). this type of vertigo occurs during head/body movements like laying on your side in bed, looking up when youre taking a shower, bending over to pick something up, etc. The episodes make you feel like the room is spinning and last seconds to minutes. i would be cautious if you're using this exercise to treat the vertigo, but there is a maneuver you can try at home called the "Epley Maneuver" that will help to eliminate or reduce the vertigo. IF you continue to struggle with vertigo after attempting the maneuver, I'd see your primary doctor or local audiologist.
This video could not have been more perfect! I have reccently moved back to Michigan after spending 6 years in Australia and needless to say going from one extreme temperature to the other on top of the stress of moving and starting a new job I came down with a pretty nasty cold and my ears got really blocked and sore thanks for always making me smile ms Adriene!
6 wks vertigo and 2wks in hospital with it. Adding this to do daily. I felt very light after the breathing but in a good way. Will do again tomorrow thank you 🙏
Thank you, this felt very restorative after an episode of vertigo. Not sure if I could have done it whilst suffering, but as part of my recovery it was very lovely.
Is it crazy I feel I need to do two videos to feel completely good again? You are doing wonders with your videos Adrienne. I hope they are here forever. To help our generations to come. 🥰😍😘
I saw this class on the December calendar & did it right away. I, as do thousands, love your videos. I do have bouts of vertigo. Lying on my back increases the spinning & feelings of nausea. I could only do the breathing practice.
Love Adrienne. Sadly can't do all her yoga sessions anymore due to vertigo. I was excited for this one but impossible to do as lying down triggers vertigo like in most people. Prepare a back/neck wedge for yourself if you do suffer from vertigo before starting this one
I’ve had vertigo for 20 years. I haven’t had an attack for a while but every time I do yoga it sets it off and low and behold I did yoga last week and I’ve been spinning ever since. I will try this. I hope it works because I really like yoga.
Feeling like I should do something a little more energizing/heat-building yesterday, I skipped this one and chose another short practice of the month (yoga joy). However, about halfway through, I realized that these poses were not it for me that day! I actually needed something more low to the ground! So I improvised and did my own thing as the rest of the video played through, and today, I spent the time to do this video. It may be less movement and less heat, but I really needed the pranayama, the movement of my breath. It felt wonderful! Thank you for giving me this time to slow down ♥
I’ve been struggling with slight vertigo the last couple of days and by the end of this session felt much better. Thank you, once again, Adriene. Namaste 🙏🏼

ADRIENE!!! I am so proud of you! I have been following you since 2015, I have phases where I go in and out of yoga but I always come back to you. I haven't gone on your channel for a while now until recently and now you have 5 million subs!!!! congrats girl, keep spreading what feels good

Dear Adriene, thanks so much. I have looked for this video a couple of months ago, and now you have it. Vertigo is just terrible, my MS as well. It was very active when I found out, terrible time, I have been through hell (and still living it some days). And I was then just recovering from cancer... Unbelievable right? But so, I have not been able to do my - thanks to you - so loved yoga for so long. About a year! I have started yoga again a couple of weeks ago. Of course I am struggling, especially with the vertigo. But I still love yoga so much, and despite all problems, I enjoy doing it. Thank you, you give me so much. Love.
I have been experiencing the worst vertigo especially during forward fold and then coming up to the standing with my hands at my chest, I don’t know why but this has helped tremendously, thank you 🙏
so glad to find out that you had a session for vertigo. Just had a bout yesterday for the first time in my life... (very intense). This morning seems to be good now, but it was re assuring to be able to do this session with you and feel ok. Thank you Adrienne for this soothing and restful session.
This video along with yoga for neck and shoulder relief are my two favorites that I’m doing back to back right now. Currently I have SI joint/sciatica issues and vertigo. These two videos are really helping me at the moment thank you ❣️
Beautiful. Huge thanks to you dear Adriene for putting this together. Not only timely but most soothing too. Having vertigo is no fun. Very much looking forward to January and a new 30 days. Hope you enjoyed your day and the art exhibition. Life is full of contradictions, at times filled with joy and at others it can be quite terrifying. Taking time to refresh and replenish is essential. Thank you again. Have a beautiful day 😊 💕💓💕

I feel most calm and relaxed practicing with you. You are so gentle and soft and careful from the way you practice yoga to the way you speak, that is so thoughful of you. Perfect timing! I wasn't looking for a session on vertigo, tho it has been bothering me for two days, but while looking for a different one I saw this. Love the way the Universe steps in!! I have practiced alternate nostril breathing before but didn't realize it could be a tool for vertigo. Thanks so much! Love you and Benji!💜

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for the video. I have vertigo since my childhood, I had saved your video but I was too scared to follow it because i felt I won’t be able to complete it, but today finally I mustered the courage and feeling so relived and relaxed.
❤️
what beautiful words. I am sorry you are struggling, I hope you find relief soon. Love to you!
you made my sunday a little bit less lonely and a bit easier
I am currently doing her 30 day yoga. And I am what people call a binge eater. I starve myself and then eat everything in sight. It's well unhealthy. Doing yoga has really helped to make me aware of my body. I'm so sorry to hear this but just know I am here too. And doing her yoga everyday. Would it help to do it at the same time? So we don't feel so alone? I'd very much like that. Let me know!
I highly recommend Adriene’s Yoga for a Broken Heart. It’s a dose of love, strength, and hope.
Good morning to anyone here doing the Balance playlist! Nice relaxing practise today. Thank you Adriene.
My mum text me this morning to say she was suffering from vertigo so shared this practice with her to try. Nice to know that me and my mum have shared this practice today, even if we couldn't do it together in person
Did it work?
I am suffering from vertigo since 6 months. Can you please let me know how did you get cured. Thanks
@@vinithav6462 did u find cure,?
After a long day, coming to the mat to practice this particular practice is wonderful and soothing!!
Thank you 💜🙏
shirinf333 I can relate too 😁my vertigo started last night and when I awoke this video was in my subscription feed! Amazing!

Thank you.
I have saved this practice to return to after working as it calms all of the senses, great for the evening too🧘🏼♀️💖
One day behind already, no judgement.. this was exactly the perfect time, when I was in my head a about crap.
I am in the same boat (literally feel like I'm on a rocking boat lol)... had your dizziness improved?? This peri is no joke...
Thank you for this from someone who has had vertigo for half year now due to anxiety and srrsss.
How did you find out that your anxiety and stress was causing this? Because I am experiencing the same things
I battle migraines daily and vertigo comes along with it. Yoga and meditation always eases the pain. Floor work is what feels yummy to me. Thank you for what you do. Namaste❤️
Yoga is truly the best therapy for me. I always feel better after Yoga with Adriene. Thank you, thank you.
I don't have vertigo, but that was the perfect gentle practice for the day after getting my booster vaccine!
Omg me too for all the above !!
jealous. still not eligible :(
Me three!! Doing after my booster!
Thank you very much.
Your kindness is very appreciated.
Bless you 🌸
Ah, thank you, amiguita. One of my hopes of yoga was to have better balance as I grow older. I watched my mother lose her sense of balance over her later lifetime and wanted to prevent that. My hope is being fulfilled. Truly, yoga has given me so much more than I’d hoped for, I’m very grateful. ❤️
Love you, Raechel xx
@@robies.7094 Do you happen to take any blood pressure medication?
can you tell me about your symtom
This was the perfect practice to just breathe and close your eyes, while Adriene guides your movement. Loved this one!
I don't know why every time I do yoga I shed a few tears. It's like the way of my body to say thanks!
Shared this with my mama who had glaucoma surgery this fall. Thanks Adriene and team 💜
Balance day 3. 425 days in a row.
I've never done this either! Everytime I found a new video it's like opening a Christmas present 🤣🤣

Oppressed breathing and anxiety earlier (just nerves), it did help me. I feel calmer. Very good as breathing exercice. Thank you.

Balance Day 3. Nice ,relaxing practise. Namaste 🙏🏽❤️💚💛🙏🏽
I feel great! Yoga with Adriene has changed my life. You are a true blessing.
Thank you for giving me this time to slow down ♥
Gotta say. I came here because I’m experiencing vertigo, and I didn’t not expect to be crying from this release! Thank you and Namaste
I’ve been struggling with slight vertigo the last couple of days and by the end of this session felt much better. Thank you, once again, Adriene. Namaste 🙏🏼
Yoga for vertigo?! Shut the front door! I've been suffering with vertigo as the accompanying aura to my chronic migraines for four years. I thought it was just my weird, lonely cross to bear but lo! A (typically) thoughtful video from Adriene! This has made my day - thank you!
I was feeling so anxious and felt the world was against me, thank you for this
ADRIENE!!! I am so proud of you! I have been following you since 2015, I have phases where I go in and out of yoga but I always come back to you. I haven't gone on your channel for a while now until recently and now you have 5 million subs!!!! congrats girl, keep spreading what feels good
I was feeling quite dizzy and down today. Then I did this yoga. In the end of the yoga, I had a big smile on my face and my body felt awakened and I’m not dizzy anymore! THAN YOU! GREAT VIDEO!
These two videos are really helping me at the moment thank you ❣️
This practice is phenomenal 🙏🏽 Namaste 💜
Thank you soooooo much!! A week with labyrinthitis where I feel like I can't stand up straight and now I feel like a new person!! You're a goddess!!

Adrienne, thank you so much for this video! I have vertigo and had recently had 2 severe episodes. It’s really debilitating but yoga has always helped me stay grounded. I’m so happy to add this video to my list of remedies. Namaste
Thank you so much Adrienne. I had a pretty nasty vertigo attack three weeks ago and it left me feeling quite ordinary for a few weeks. Have done this practice every day for about 2 weeks and it has helped immensely :)
Yoga with Adriene is the best yoga practice i have ever found. now, you're my most favourite. Thankyou so much for creating this wonderful comfortable space Adriene.
