I like both gentlemen's enthusiasm and I share it, in reality, with an S/510, the little brother to this Carbon Special - fabulous stuff!
I just bought this sub today! Can’t wait for it to arrive and I’m already looking for another one. Pair of carbon specials!
I bought a T9 earlier this year and yes, Kevin is correct, it brought out better mid-range and dynamics in my system. Not just low end. Absolutely fantastic pice of gear.
It's absolutely true when you say "don't buy a sub just because you want more bass, buy a subwoofer because you want better mid-range and sense of scale and musicality"! I have two Rel S5 and this Carbon Special makes me wonder in having this magnific piece of audio gear🤔 Thanks Kevin and John for the magnific video!
Just ordered an s510 and cant wait to set her up...
I love my REL! I run a REL T9/i with my Focal Aria 926's and Primaluna HP integrated. You can start with 1 easy and add 2 later.
Rel is fantastic subwoofer company. I been an audiophile for over 30 years, I never believed that will improve the mid range areas. Until I heard with my own ears. If you are passionate about sounds ,it will not let you down. Please audition it before you consider a pair , to believe your self.
Rel need to get their head out of the sand when it comes to bass management.
Sending full range to sub and speakers in a AV system? Lol.
It's one thing to do that in a hifi when you don't have a choice
@@billybobby7607 did you have sub your self. If you don't shut your mouth.
After hearing John speak, I’m a believer. Was going to buy another JL audio sub, but think I’m going to get a pair of these
I absolutely love my T9i (that I bout at Upscale Audio)! It is above and beyond anything I've had before. And it truly is beautiful to look at as well. Thank you John. Thank you Kevin. I love that Carbon Special!
I’m sure they’re worth every penny! Can’t wait for Christmas!
The ocd in me really wants magnetic grills. Hopefully next iteration includes them. Cleans things up for those of us who run grill free.
If you buy one of these and your wife hits you in the head with a frying pan you can refund it, no restocking charge.
Actual LOL
Lmao, If i even had one that was this stupid, I'd smack back with a 5 pound skillet, put that persons stuff on the curb and put the sub where it all was, lmao.
That’s so dope!
I have the T/9x. It's life changing. I've used SVS, Velodyne and a few others. Nothing even comes close to the magic that these do.
I am thinking about this one or the B&W DB1D.
Good JOB!!!
Splendid 👍🏼👊🏼. UK 🏴
A question for someone. The high current cable has 3 wires.
If im connecting to my amp via the speaker terminals which has 2. Red and black. Where does the 3rd wire go from the cable?
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks
Go to REL website and check there is a lot of help and videos..
Only use high level for two channel hifi. If you've got a avr use it's bass management and RCA output. Set speakers to small.
Très belle vidéo par deux professionnels passionnés de ce qu ils font.
At $3,999.00 ouch!
Are These Made & Assembled In China?
I love music but I crave bass too.
Hello, Yes Class D amplifiers more powerful than Class AB . But better for music? I have T9 since 2012.
You won't notice the difference. not for these frequencies. Plus you won't find 2000w RMS class ab amplifier lol
An audiophile sub with a passive radiator huh!
stack L+R 3x $ 😁 o yea
Blam
aka don't buy a Klipsch one
Jl audio is better, not that rel is bad but jl audio is on it's own level.
passive radiator is the sound quality compromise i don't want, i want pure hifi subwoofer.
Its not really a compromise. It's a way of getting more output out of a sealed system ,but with much more control than you get with a port. It's ported subs that have more issues.
@@markrigg6623 do not make assumption of sealed and ported subs. Group delay on my ported are very low
What i cant understand is why would any reviewer review a product with a member of the company of said product, seems to me that it makes your 'honest opinion' is utter bullsh%^t. Whuch renders anything else you say is also the same utter bull.
cheap and ugly looking, not even 2005 cool. too much branding, too much pick up truck guy style. Adam sub 10 all the way!!
Sub 10? 😂 Not even in the same class!
