Works for a very short period of time. Seriously worked for a week. My wife is a consultant for tupperware so she will probably be angry that I posted this... But after fighting with a can for 20 mins today I decided people should know it is the worse can opener I have ever used!

I know how to use it correctly and read the manual, but for some reason after some time it just stops working. It gets to a point where it'll just stop turning the can while the knob itself still turns. I have had to have it replaced once allready, very frustrating!

My new one is leaving very fine TINY but visible metal shards along the edges! And it’s not the glue. Check your cans ppl to see if yours is doing that too! I had an old one for years that worked awesome. Not this one. I won’t risk using it anymore. Last thing I need is a sharp piece of metal stuck in my tongue, throat, or intestines! Yikes.

This design of can opening mechanism is sold under many brand names: Elsa, Wenco, Tupperware etc... I've used an 'Elsa' branded one for many years with no problems whatsoever... it's brilliantly designed and well made safety can opener... once you have mastered the 'latching on' technique that is!.. for those rubbishing this opener (and there's quite a few) all I can say is you're not competent to use it
