The Secret's out -- Band-Maid is an influential, trendsetting, major force in the music scene! Their huge Yokohama Arena concert on Nov. 26, 2023 was a spectacular 10-year celebration and launch party to the next 10 years of Maid Domination. Thx, Sohum!
I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate your reactions to my favorite group BAND-MAID. Your musical knowledge really makes people like me, who also have musical background, enjoy your analysis even more. Please keep reacting to this amazing band.
Misa takes the spotlight in many Band maid Songs, starting with their first MV Thrill, then there's Dice, Play Live, No God Live, Manners Live, Don't You Tell Me Live and of course Hate? Live. Also don't miss out on the slower stuff where Misa shines with her groovy playing and counter melodies - Smile, About Us and Memorable. Although it's not available , one of my favourite moments is Misa and Akane's Jazz Funk intro to Honkai from the Yokohama spinoff show earlier this year
Band-Maid has more awesome songs that most bands have songs. This, despite being a few years old now, is so different than anything I've ever heard. The constantly unexpected rhythm shifts from Akane, the blistering short bass bursts, and just the song itself - so different, so brilliant!! And there's a song with no video for every song with a video -- and they're just as good too!!
First, it is a hi-hat that has two cymbals together. Second, the beat you are referring to is known colloquially as a disco beat. Made famous in the 70s
Sohum, hmmm, time to revisit the songs you’ve already listened to with a focus on the bass guitar. That’s what I did after constantly hearing about MISA-san. Seriously, she’s demigod-tier! You’ll know what I mean as you delve deeper into their music. ☺️
Now you have to react to Band Maiko "Secret Maiko Lips". You are going to love it. MISA the bassist takes the spotlight LOADS! She has solo's in quite a few songs too. You wait and see!
It’s tuned down a half step to Eb. Seriously tasty and complex guitar parts worth a look in isolation. And you mentioned MISA, where here, I think, my amateur opinion, is her fastest recorded bass fill. I would love to hear her do more of that!
Most screams are done by Miku. See Hibana, Flying High, and Toi Et Moi. Misa bass spotlight? Influencer, No God, Dice, Don't You Tell Me Live, Manners/Black Hole Live
Akane is total FIRE in this one......🔥🔥🔥Happy Birthday Akane!🍌🍌🎂💕 Band Maiko "Secret Maiko Lips"- ua-cam.com/video/NNHGABwme50/v-deo.htmlsi=0PRb-cok7oqOqaqR
Next, you should check out the only cover band that can rival Band-Maid; they are called Band-Maiko. They covered this track but called it Secret Maiko Lips. They are even in Band-Maid’s official channel. Enjoy! 😜
Great reaction and this song is a favorite with most of the fans. There is also a pretty decent cover by a troublesome band of maykos from Kyoto trying to cash in on Band-Maid's image, Band-Mayko - Secret Mayko Lips - ua-cam.com/video/NNHGABwme50/v-deo.html MISA uses all playing techniques - strumming with her fingers (softer sound) or a pick (more clean sound), slapping - using her thumb to hit the strings and fingers to pluck the strings - slap and pop.
Your reactions are very good but by stopping right after Kanami's solo and lamenting the shortness of her solo you missed the beauty of the jazz interlude and how it combined with the solo that preceded it. Sometimes it's better to listen, hold your thoughts, don't pause, and just listen
Incidentally, Akane's birthday is tomorrow; Dec. 14.
You have unlocked a secret boss.Fight move on to band mayko secret mayko lips
Now you have to react to Band maiko "Secret Maiko Lips".
Band Maid is the only Band who is there own Cover Band .:)
If you really listen, MISA has a spotlight in almost every song, she is quite possibly the top rock bassist in the business today

MISA MISA MISA (someone was going to say it).
Band Maid is so very underrated. They should be on every rock radio station in the world, including on continual play in the U.S.

Kanami soloed through most of the song. The official solo was her break. If you haven't noticed MISA (bass) by now, then something is wrong.
So..then there is mystical Band-Maiko and their hit” Secret…” 😅 It’s a kind must do 🤘🙏🏻🔥❤️

Whut! 🥶 Whut! 🥶Whut! 🥶 *MISA* does not shine in *BAND-MAID* 😆🍺
This band is a family 😊

If you want screaming, done the Band-Maid way, check out Hibana, Why Why Why, and Moi et Toi. But it's Miku doing the screaming, not Saiki.
Err, Toi et Moi
OK we will get you a scream, but Miku handles the screams. Why Why Why is a great MV with a few and the new song from newest album Toi et Moi also.
It’s tuned down a half step to Eb. Seriously tasty and complex guitar parts worth a look in isolation.

Now you have to check out the coverband Band-Maiko with Secret Maiko Lips.
Ah-KAH-nay or Ah-Chan or DJ Achi. Thanks for the reaction!

I love the end with this great and odd disco beat.
Thanks so much nice reaction!
