Aw man thanks so much! Yeah not only can you do side ejects on console, but I manage to do it with a super high success rate, probably 90-95%. Once I figured out what method was the most consistent for me, I just kept doing it and they became more and more consistent.
@@RopotopolousThats so good to hear because my experience with mirages parkour felt really dull because i felt so restricted in the way i could move, but when i play Mirage later im gonna try all the things i just learned in ur video, and ill let u know if the ejects work for me and if it alters my parkour experience
Yes! I also noticed it, Basim would just NOT side eject if I didn't let him rest for a lil.. to be exact, whenever I'd climb up a wall without stopping and suddenly wanted to side eject, the mf would jump and hang from the same wall just 5 meters away from him, instead of letting go and jumping into a taller or shorter platform
Thank you! That's what I was going for. People take games to seriously. They're supposed to be fun. I feel it is my duty to inject my humor into my videos haha
I played mirage and tried these ejects and they actually work bro i was so shocked lmao, definetly gave me a reason to parkour more in Baghdad, thanks bro.
7:10 I've found success side ejecting by waiting for him to settle while still holding parkour up. You can also animation cancel by letting him climb without holding X or R2 so he will climb normally (not climb leap) and while he is climbing press O input left or right to eject to your target. He will cancel his climb to eject (I found it more consistent with O than X but I think X works too)
14:31 Diagonal wall runs can be achieved by holding diagonal parkour up at a wall, but the angle is sharper. It's actually easier to get from a perched position than standing. But it is possible, and also present in the other RPG Creeds
5:18 Back ejects as a parkour down is actually a novel thought for me so thank you for sharing that There are a few places where back eject will gain height. But the street/targets have to be close enough together, and you have to hit them at the right height. Basim sometimes wants to parkour down from a back eject even when he's close. But if you climb up then back eject he goes up. It's hard to explain in a comment but like you said at the end of the video, practice and you will start recognizing his patterns.
Yeah. Keep in mind this tutorial was made before the update which allowed for height gaining ejects, which kinda ruins my parkour down philosophy but it was an upgrade none the less haha.
@@Ropotopolous and to be fair parkour down back ejects still work lol so this just adds to it. The skill gap is knowing when he will go up or down and using it intentionally

One thing I wanna add is that ejects in this game are very contextual but they do work, they exist as you’ve shown but they are very dependent on proper movement input. Especially back ejects, side ejects are easy enough once you learn the distance but it’s more complex with back ejects. I’ve found many spots in the game where just doing a standard back eject by pressing parkour up from a ledge will have basim drop down to a point behind him, but if you hold back on the stick and parkour up he can do a further eject that will gain a bit of height. So you can play around with it but holding directional movement with a back eject can extend it. Anyways that’s my 2 cents lol great video bro, probably the best parkour guide I’ve seen since mirage has been out!
That's true, I didn't add anything about this because I can't really find a consistent rule about this, it seems to have an effect sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. So yes, if you tweak the left thumbstick up or down while doing a back eject it can sometimes effect his targeted location.
Btw you can sprint while crou hed 😊 I also went the drop down and crouch being on L2 (hold), and I put the tool wheel on the left direction on the directional pad

Hope this helps someone that's trying to enjoy the freerunning / combat in this game as much as possible!
I was waiting for that comment! I did it similarly. R2 on hold for the sprint AND the jump button, like you're using it, might be the best decision in terms of controlls. It might be the case that you don't have that much perfect controll in every situation an if your a pro it might not be the best option but i think it makes the parkour so much more enjoyable. I also put the weappon wheel on L1. Also it seperated the the assasination from the light attack doe to the fact that in some scenarios I did a light attack even tho I intended a assasination. Makes things safer this way. I put the light attack on X ant the Parry on D-Pad-Down. It ist a strange position for such important functions but I use to solve open conflicts with smoke grenades and mines so open combat isn't that important, even tho you can still fight quite well. Crouch/Parkour Down is on R1 and on hold 'cause I had that way to often that I dropped from a rooftop an on the gound i was crouching around at minimum speed. That steels so much momentum. One downside of Crouch on R1 is that if you want to stay unseen you have to keep it hold which is annoying. Still, worth it. The rest is not that important: Dodge on CIRCLE, Assasination on SQUARE, Interact on TRIANGLE, everything else is on the D-Pad. Conclusion: My controlls favor simple Parkour and Stealth, but open Combad suffers quite much. Also: Sorry for my bad english
There's some good ideas in here, although I don't really like the idea of mapping parkour and sprint together at all. I use the parkour button as if it were a manual jump button constantly and it works well for me. I've had my controls this way for too long now to switch them up. They're really contextual. In my experience I found they work best if you look straight at the object you want to dive to, but they don't always work. One of mirages least consistent moves.
Thank you so much for this guide. Unrelated question, I noticed when you perform aerial throwing knife kills, it doesn’t always look like they are headshots, yet your targets seem to still die in one hit. Is the camera angle just weird and you really are hitting all headshots, or is there some secret I don’t know that allows for a body shot to one hit? I play on the hardest difficulty and am trying to get better at aerial throwing knife kills.
Glad you enjoyed the guide. Yep, one of the knife perks that you can choose at the bureau is a damage increase that allows for a one shot kill anywhere.
@@Ropotopolous oh wow, I’ve been using the plus 50% damage perk but it still only ever gets them to about 1/4 health. Guess I’ll keep practicing; thank you!
Any good AC parkour should take skill and a bit of practice to use. Scaling entire buildings and performing all kind of moves that would take an insane amount of skill in the real world shouldn't be effortless in a game. AC fans are torn between wanting a fully manual system that allows for complete player control, and having a fully automated system that looks flashy and allows you to do spinning controlled descents with the push of a single button. Mirage is the closest thing they've ever made to bridging the gap between both. If this is a system that looks good in the hands of a skilled player, then it's a good system.

5:55 how did you back eject right there you say you use parkour down is that holding or tapping B?
How are ur throwing knifes 1 hitting enemies?
Like i swear ur hitting the body and it 1 hit?
Yep. It's one of the knife upgrade perk things.
It’s insane how Ubisoft stays making bad parkour and need fans to make it look decent 😭
This side eject method does not work for me at ALL
Lmao my guy can press a button and move a joy stick and suddenly he thinks he's a god lmao. Cute youtuber
Say a prayer, bitch.
I love Mirage, but the parkour down is not even remotely as smooth ❤
It doesnt look good at all
My parkour is the best in town, bud.
It's about how parkour looks in this game in general@@Ropotopolous
@mggt4684 haha alright I got you. Well I like it. I'm an optimist.
@@RopotopolousIt looks far from as bad as the combat looks so there's that I guess 😅
