I feel like a good way to ground a swing up if you would like to use it is to ALWAYS cancel it into prefer ledge landing so that it nullifies some of the upward movement. It looks way more natural to land with your hands on something higher up than it does to get completely above it with your feet.
Imagine if most of these passive things were actually skills you had to learn similar to Advanced Jump or they were rewards for completing Races. The more experienced you are in parkour, the less chance there is for Ezio to stumble, and the faster he pulls himself up from a hands-only ledge grab position into a full 4-limb ledge grab etc.
hey great tutorial, although as a real life parkour athlete and game dev student i think some of your self limitations should not be limitations. like the vault up from hang: if you look up parkour lvl 4 climb up you'll see that its quite realistic to do so, compared to the other physical prowess that ezio has displayed (cause frankly in the vanilla i always perceived some moves to be cheats even more than some that are in the mod). even the swing up, super hop and vault land far are often as realistic as the vanilla game super human feats. i guess im saying a lot of things look different to different people depending on what you know to be possible in real life and i think you should not limit yourself, mainly others, ingame, based on your own beliefs. that said do what feels comfortable and fun, and keep up the great work!!!
This is literally a parkour mechanical concept that Ubisoft definately should pick up! Keep in mind this is running on a game that came out in 2010 and it looks this good.

Spot on tutorial and love the guide. You're probably my favourite Assassin's Creed UA-camr at this point simply because of the parkour stuff. I used to play these games for the story and take the parkour for granted but recently have been just spending hours parkouring around and experimenting. Definitely installing these mods and replaying all the games with them! As a developer (I make my own stuff) I also appreciate the respect you have for the original vision/system, and how you are against exploiting the mod too much in order to keep things grounded. Most people go for the "easy way out" in these situations, but you make sure to keep things realistic (as realistic as they'll get, this is assassin's creed after all 😂) Amazing video. Definitely pointing my friends here cos they need to see this
This is amazing. I wish I could do consistent side ejects after a diagonal wall run in the new games when done on plain walls. Similar to a wall run in the prince of Persia games

I don't know much about CE modding, but all you need for checkpoint racing is to be able to get the player position and the game time, and I guess the ability to place a marker of some kind in game. The rest could be handled outside the game. Either way, this is a great mod and I wish you good luck on future projects.

(playing AC1) Out of curiosity have you made another tutorial video on the other features of the mod like kiosk? Because I’m honestly not sure what they do haha. Scared to enable’em, only ever managed to get the kiosk dive roll once lol 😅
I suppose I ought to get in touch with HenryPDT directly for what I have to say next but I'll comment it here too anyway. I started testing again following the instructions to the letter. After opening the mod and launching the game, pressing d-pad up and r3 does nothing. I have to manually enable the mod from the cheat engine page directly (I enabled the red coded lines and the parkour mode line). Only then did the mod begin to function. Even then, vaults would never trigger. When I enabled the "manual vault" line vaults would trigger without the armed hand input at any time Ezio would have been on an nso he would vault to hang automatically, both in low profile and in high profile. I have no idea what's going on and from what I've seen I assume it's a problem that hasn't been shared or discussed before.
@mechamojureg2166 No, I haven't tried it since then. I've had a few issues with my PC, it's more of a potato. I'll keep your comment here in mind when I get around to it.
@ thats a shame, i see the potencial fun of the mod but i had the same problem as you, i spent almost 2 hours trying to make my dualsense work on the game and after it did and i manually enabled the mod vaults were getting activated without me pressing the shortcut button and i couldn't activate parkour mode by pressing R3.
I really love Super Hop on Foothold but so sad that it seems to be too unrealistic/bugs at some places (as you mention & sorry not good with the words) Because it's actually doable in real life, like if you're quick and strong enough, you can land on foot (after a jump) and execute a Wall run up at that point (if you help with hands while running up like Arno in AC Unity), damn it looks cool af. I hope you guys can invent a solution that allow Super Hop to always be turned on instead of Safeguarded.
Dear sir you are a hero. But you must reconsider your reasoning for safeguards for swing up and the manual horse flip. Saying that ezio could only have enough momentum to these flips to a higher position by gaining momentum with a larger drop seems like your disregarding gravity and our boys insane core strength.
Hey, I really liked the vid. I installed everything and tried out the mod in montereggioni, however when travelling to firenze the game keeps crashing. Now im stuck in a loop where I open the game, load the save and it almost immidiately crashes. Has anyone had the same problem?

How come the mod itself doesn't have some restrictions to prevent some of the more broken janky moves instead of appealing to a sort of "code of honor" from players? Are such limitations in the works or is it just impossible to unlock the rest of the moves without having the janky stuff also?
@@ginogatash4030 It's a relatively complex story but as of now we just haven't found ways of cleanly limiting these moves in a way thats predicable or fair to players, if at all. I've been looking into it as much as possible, to give ideas to Henry for implementation, but it's all or nothing for now, sadly.

You can't do so sadly, and the functionality that this mod provides doesn't really have to do with what mirage needs, as the old schools actually have a consistent and good eject system that allows for properly prioritized foot landings
I’m using this mod for ac1 and I’m pretty sure everything is installed correctly but I die every time I synchronize a view point and go for a leap of faith, it’s like an invisible barrier that blocking every hay cart and haystack. I need help please 😭

Is there an easy way to change hotkeys for the mod? I looked in Cheat Engine, though every entry has what seems like 10 keybinds to enable and 10 to disable. I need to chance it since my mouse does not have a Mouse Button 4/5. Alternatively, if the is a program that I can use that will change a button press to be MB4 and MB5 then I could do that.

i got the mod to run successfully, but everytime i did the move 14:41 (not the tutorial but that animation of Ezio hanging specifically, i have to remind myself everytime i see that type of beam) , he always glitching. its like he wants to go up the pole beam ,but then drop down. I have to stop holding high profile for a brief second in order for Ezio to get through easily, any fixes boss?
This mod is specifically made for the old schools, so you can't use it on Rogue, but who knows when the kenways might start getting some more serious support! MichaelM has been modding them here and there casually, even if there isn't a mod that's as comprehensive or definitive as this one
would it be possible to make this mod actually integrated into the game such as dropping a file into the game folder instead of having it through cheat engine? it's really annoying to have to open CE every time I play brotherhood - unless there's a way to make CE and the mod launch as soon as I open brotherhood every time
Hey so whenever I try to do the moves you do they don’t work. in the cheat engine it shows they are working (I press manual vault and the X goes in the box for example). I also press the button to enable parkour mode and it makes me punch when I try to vault. Please help!
Parkour Mode at the moment doesnt prevent punching, hence I recommend you keeping the weapon slot to Hidden Blade instead, this will be fixed in the next update. For the point, you said the moves arent working, does this apply to all moves, or just the vaulting? This could either be you are using an incompatible version of the game like the newer Rev update or pirated version, or that you are using the mod wrong somehow.
@@henrypdt everything seems to work on the mod besides the parkour down/far function I believe. But with hidden blades out I can vault, jump to ledge/beam and vault up as well so It is working. Thank you for your time and work in the community!
My cheat table don't show all the things that your table has. And when i. Start the game nothing really happen even if i press pad up just select the hidden blade only
Hi there I'm having issues with the activation of the mod for ac2. The game updated, played through ubisoft connect. I downloaded, installed and activated the Eagle Patch mod Once I loaded into a game save I started the Defintive AC2_KBM_v8 cheat engine file (cheat engine installed) And still I get a script

Does Cheat Engine affect my other games? I play games like Team Fortress 2 and The Finals often, and they do have Anti-cheat. I am worried Cheat Engine might be detected and, well get myself banned or some sort.
This mod is definitely meant for people who have already gotten used to the vanilla system, learned proper button discipline, and learned of what all parts of the moveset there are, as it unlocks actual total, unrestricted control to the player. I'd recommend playing vanilla first, looking into Leo K's classic parkour guide as a start, and coming back to the mod after you've become more accustomed.

It's a shame that the game's overall design doesn't emphasise parkouring fast. 2's combat is boring. Easy, but boring. So I would rather run away than deal with fighting with enemies. Even if it is easy. Brothethood and revelations combat is fast and snappy. Unfortunately it personally made me want to use parkour less even if the world is better design
@@animusdrifter there are so many ways to emphasise it. All of which are in the series. AC3 style notoriety where it's sequential instead of all or nothing. And pulling off posters doesn't lower it at level 3 Hard/ bad combat to emphasise running away Time trials in the world itself. This one hurt cause brotherhood does have time trials. But in a white void. So you won't learn to use those moves in the world itself. Man I hope AC shadows has these. It probably won't cause it's dealing with so much drama right now. Ubisoft just can't help themselves can they?

@ thats a shame, i see the potencial fun of the mod but i had the same problem as you, i spent almost 2 hours trying to make my dualsense work on the game and after it did and i manually enabled the mod vaults were getting activated without me pressing the shortcut button and i couldn't activate parkour mode by pressing R3.
I really love Super Hop on Foothold but so sad that it seems to be too unrealistic/bugs at some places (as you mention & sorry not good with the words)
Because it's actually doable in real life, like if you're quick and strong enough, you can land on foot (after a jump) and execute a Wall run up at that point (if you help with hands while running up like Arno in AC Unity), damn it looks cool af. I hope you guys can invent a solution that allow Super Hop to always be turned on instead of Safeguarded.

Dear sir you are a hero. But you must reconsider your reasoning for safeguards for swing up and the manual horse flip. Saying that ezio could only have enough momentum to these flips to a higher position by gaining momentum with a larger drop seems like your disregarding gravity and our boys insane core strength.

Hey, I really liked the vid. I installed everything and tried out the mod in montereggioni, however when travelling to firenze the game keeps crashing. Now im stuck in a loop where I open the game, load the save and it almost immidiately crashes. Has anyone had the same problem?

@@zizozx2218 The guide gets into what some of the different functions do, as long as you know the specific keyboard binds and get used to them, you should be able to translate what's said in the video into that
How come the mod itself doesn't have some restrictions to prevent some of the more broken janky moves instead of appealing to a sort of "code of honor" from players?
Are such limitations in the works or is it just impossible to unlock the rest of the moves without having the janky stuff also?
@@ginogatash4030 It's a relatively complex story but as of now we just haven't found ways of cleanly limiting these moves in a way thats predicable or fair to players, if at all. I've been looking into it as much as possible, to give ideas to Henry for implementation, but it's all or nothing for now, sadly.

Can you apply these same mods to mirage? I'm sick of landing on hang after an eject when basım can clearly land on his feet
You can't do so sadly, and the functionality that this mod provides doesn't really have to do with what mirage needs, as the old schools actually have a consistent and good eject system that allows for properly prioritized foot landings
I’m using this mod for ac1 and I’m pretty sure everything is installed correctly but I die every time I synchronize a view point and go for a leap of faith, it’s like an invisible barrier that blocking every hay cart and haystack. I need help please 😭
Issue with cheat engine is its flagged by a lot of anticheat in online multiplayer games with EAC or vanguard which scans your pc for cheat engine

i got the mod to run successfully, but everytime i did the move 14:41 (not the tutorial but that animation of Ezio hanging specifically, i have to remind myself everytime i see that type of beam) , he always glitching. its like he wants to go up the pole beam ,but then drop down. I have to stop holding high profile for a brief second in order for Ezio to get through easily, any fixes boss?

This mod is specifically made for the old schools, so you can't use it on Rogue, but who knows when the kenways might start getting some more serious support! MichaelM has been modding them here and there casually, even if there isn't a mod that's as comprehensive or definitive as this one

would it be possible to make this mod actually integrated into the game such as dropping a file into the game folder instead of having it through cheat engine? it's really annoying to have to open CE every time I play brotherhood - unless there's a way to make CE and the mod launch as soon as I open brotherhood every time
Hey so whenever I try to do the moves you do they don’t work. in the cheat engine it shows they are working (I press manual vault and the X goes in the box for example). I also press the button to enable parkour mode and it makes me punch when I try to vault. Please help!
Parkour Mode at the moment doesnt prevent punching, hence I recommend you keeping the weapon slot to Hidden Blade instead, this will be fixed in the next update.
For the point, you said the moves arent working, does this apply to all moves, or just the vaulting? This could either be you are using an incompatible version of the game like the newer Rev update or pirated version, or that you are using the mod wrong somehow.
@@henrypdt everything seems to work on the mod besides the parkour down/far function I believe. But with hidden blades out I can vault, jump to ledge/beam and vault up as well so It is working. Thank you for your time and work in the community!
My cheat table don't show all the things that your table has.
And when i. Start the game nothing really happen even if i press pad up just select the hidden blade only

Hi there I'm having issues with the activation of the mod for ac2.
The game updated, played through ubisoft connect.
I downloaded, installed and activated the Eagle Patch mod
Once I loaded into a game save I started the Defintive AC2_KBM_v8 cheat engine file (cheat engine installed)
And still I get a script
From the look of that error, it seems like you havent installed Eagle Patch properly
hey so ik ac 1 isn't brotherhood but i do have a question. i can do a vault but when i try to do it while laddering down on poles or just using it on a pole or anything high up in general it always auto hangs on. and more then that i can't vault on a ledge either. idk if this is just an ac 1 and the rest allow u to chose if u want to vault into a hang or not but i just wanted to ask if this is normal?

Does Cheat Engine affect my other games? I play games like Team Fortress 2 and The Finals often, and they do have Anti-cheat. I am worried Cheat Engine might be detected and, well get myself banned or some sort.
I trying to integrate this with a first time play through and i find it really buggy any recommended settings for campaign playthroughs?
This mod is definitely meant for people who have already gotten used to the vanilla system, learned proper button discipline, and learned of what all parts of the moveset there are, as it unlocks actual total, unrestricted control to the player. I'd recommend playing vanilla first, looking into Leo K's classic parkour guide as a start, and coming back to the mod after you've become more accustomed.

@@spider-boi9097 Potentially, as there's a high chance that the pirated version is actually another patch of the game (an older one) that doesn't work with EaglePatch and the mod consequently and directly

It's a shame that the game's overall design doesn't emphasise parkouring fast. 2's combat is boring. Easy, but boring. So I would rather run away than deal with fighting with enemies. Even if it is easy.
Brothethood and revelations combat is fast and snappy. Unfortunately it personally made me want to use parkour less even if the world is better design

AC3 style notoriety where it's sequential instead of all or nothing. And pulling off posters doesn't lower it at level 3
Hard/ bad combat to emphasise running away
Time trials in the world itself. This one hurt cause brotherhood does have time trials. But in a white void. So you won't learn to use those moves in the world itself.
Man I hope AC shadows has these. It probably won't cause it's dealing with so much drama right now. Ubisoft just can't help themselves can they?

Why doesn’t the features work for AC2? Only thing that works is the vault mechanic that’s it
They should work for any game, unless it's about the horse flip or something, as that was only introduced into brotherhood and kept in revelations code
