This game will absolutely suck, anyway, my preorder is done!

I felt absolutely same after I played Origins for the first time. I was away from the franchise for years and when I came back I saw that it's so different now. And I heard criticism about stuff, magic and parkour. Well, I noticed it myself actually. And nevertheless I fucking enjoyed Bayek and Ancient Egypt. And this RPG saga in general where we see the world of AC from the distance, not just from perspective of templars or assassin's, but as a stranger. And I actually liked it, I think it made the AC universe a little bit deeper to see this world from the different side, may it be degenerative greek or dumbass viking. And duuh classic AC better, duuh now it's generally worse, but it's interesting and enjoyable too. So let's stay old ac fans, not old ac haters. Great video, keep up the good work, Ropotopolous.

I am very hyped for ac shadows. Honestly i think they nailed it with this game. It even looks better than all the Fan concepts for a ac japan. Surely it might not be perfekt but even the old ac‘s aren’t. Parkour looks great, the stealth looks better and have more mechanics than in every other ac game and the world building is just perfect from what i see.

I never understood why people complained about syndicate having the rope launcher would you prefer having to climb a building for 10 minutes you want to do parkour because the buildings were massive and so were the streets even with ropes and signs hanging across streets it wouldn’t be enough to make parkour work organically. It’s better to allow players to free run on one block them rope launch over the street to keep it going but you have to actually your brain for that and most people aren’t that interested in free running to each location.

It made sense for parkour starters to exist in AC games but when they removed them in syndicate it was because cities weren’t being built or destroyed anymore so historically it would be out of place. In unity was the last game to have parkour starts and they were everywhere because it was a citywide revolution. So it would make sense for stuff to be laid out all over the city and an assassin would have to use them to get around the crowds of people in the streets.

I need the game to have good fighting and facial movement animations. I can't take video games seriously if they don't have that. This is what happened to me with the last Assassin's Creed, they look pretty bad in those aspects, I don't even remember the story of Valhalla or Odyssey for that reason.

The combat we've seen looks so incredibly choppy and bland. Paired animation, janky finishers, and doesn't appear to be very fluid. After we've played Ghost of Tsushima, it looks like it's going to be terribly underwhelming.

My general motto is "enjoying it for what it is." Thats about it, if im having fun, who give a shit about other things right? I work from morning to 6pm and all i care about when i got home is burning away my stress by playing videogames. Valhalla just so happened to be a perfect fit for me, i can just turn my brain off and chip away that bloated mess for as long as i want to, i play that game since August of last year and still haven't complete all the DLCs yet, still going at it while playing Ghost of Tsushima and Elden Ring side by side. All three are massive game but hey, im having fun so who give a damn.

None of that is even Assassin's Creed Shadows gameplay...pfft. Not watching!

Honestly, I pre ordered as well and I don't care about anyone has to say. Yeah, it's no longer the same thing from the old days. Yeah, modern day is a mess since Desmond. Yeah, RPG changed too much of the franchise. Still, I love them all. Well, maybe not Unity and Syndicate. But I found the RPG trilogy to be a incredibly fun.

I'm just not looking forward to the smug negativity from people who haven't played the game and the endless "Shadows is TRASH" thumbnail nonsense. Expecting plenty of videos of Unity parkour with SHADOWS WISHES IT COULD BE LIKE THIS, SHADOWS COULD NEVER, et cetera. I don't care. Not every video game is going to be what you want it to be even though it would be nice and maybe even makes plenty of sense if it was. It's just not that serious, and frankly some of the castles and stealth options in Valhalla have significantly more complex level design than most of the entire series. Even though people will complain "oh remember when assassin's creed was about being a REAL ASSASSIN" as if Altair didn't stand in front of an army and kill like 50 guys in the very first game of the series. Would I rather it not be a Ubisoft Quebec game though? Yes

So refreshing to see there's someone else in the world besides me who gets tired of focusing on the negative. I don't know yet if I'll be getting the game day one, but I suppose as just another AC youtuber I will inevitably end up getting the game and "making the most" of it. I think there will be enjoyable aspects for sure, at any rate.

It will suck because almost all modern games suck. They're not focused on quality story telling or fun gameplay. They're just focused on looking good enough to wow people so they will buy them so that the companies and investors can make money.

Did you find a way to not be enraged when watching The Rise of Skywalker? I watched it once and I know I would commit heinous crimes if I watch it again, even with an open mind lol

Also, with the architecture, I'll say - to be fair, I'm not sure what period Shadows is set in within Japan, but Ghost of Tsushima, as accurate as it was in many aspects, also hard architecture that wasn't necessarily breathtaking to parkour on. I'll have to rewatch the Shadows gameplay trailer. But I think that's just how the architecture was in Japan at the time, so we wouldn't get anything much more elaborate than what we see. The buildibgs in GOT tended to be small, packed tightly together, not much dimension to them, unless you were in a palace or fort.

I think it's REALLY important to remember that Unity was trying out some new stuff stylistically with parkour, that we now all REALLY wish they'd go back to. But they didn't, BECAUSE OF US. WE dragged them through the mud, and so they thought, "Well, I guess they just hate all of this." I've been a lifelong AC fan. I'm tired of Ubi ruining it, but also the fans, just give it a few months of the game being out (with some light critique from us for fixes, if needed, like Ubi Bordeaux did with Mirage) before we tear it apart. Lest we run into another Unity situation. It's not like Unity was fully historically accurate, with an assassin both breaking out of the Bastille AND meeting Napoleon.

Reason why gaming is shit, is not because of the devs being lazy or stupid, no, they know what they are doing and have the passion to do so. Studios and publishers being greedy... yes, they need to make money and will do ANYTHING to get it easy and as much as they can get. WE the "GAMERS" are the most exploitable, because we don't have standards, backbone nor the will to fight back yet we are willing to suck up any shity product and be "happy" with it. Just to escape the pain from reality, well this is a pain for me to see these "gamers" accept such shit and seeing the Gaming industry the way it is now, useless battle passes, Live service, shity writing, shoving unnecessary politics in our games which serve no benefit to me as a buyer, Pay to win microtransactions, uninspiring mechanics, pre-ordering a game where it be shity and so much more... Time and time again we had the chance to fight yet people like you and others who want their wife Cuckhold by another man didn't want to fight back you guys just accepted this shit. Now look, our favourite studios are cuckhold by big companies and getting shut down, our games are cuckhold by uninspiring mechanics, live service and by microtransactions (like why do I need microtransactions in my single player game? fucking why?) And the gamers... being cuckhold by these publishers taking advantage because the very gamers don't what to fight back. Life will never be easy it WILL remain painful and miserable, but that's the whole point, for us to get stronger and better so that we DON'T get cuckhold. I honestly know that you'll be able to make parkour in Shadows look good, no matter what. The grapple hook is bound to add some more freedom to parkour, then what we've had lately

The title "it will suck, heres why ill pre-order" is just a really funny title Anyway im also really excited to play it too, but thats because of stealth, and even then social stealth was taken again. Howhever the improvements it does bring could genuiely improve the series as a whole, even tho it wont make the game a good AC on itself
