Wonderful! Gad it was enjoyed
Looks great! I usually don’t boil the chicken add the stock does it taste better done this way?
Hi, it tastes soo much more flavoursome when you actually make it with stock. Try it and let me know 😊👍
Hi, this recipe looks amazing like all of your recipes. Can I ask how spicy the rice is x
Mild Fozia
I made it with chops, my whole family loved it. Thank you so much, it tasted like my Nani’s pilau ♥️♥️ May Allah always shower his countless continuous blessings over you.
I literally want to come round and eat it with you this is my favourite fish ever MashAllah looks super tasty can you say which rice you use please JazakAllah xxxxx
Thank you! I use Vetee Extra long Basmati Rice. 😃👍
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes aww thank you appreciate it are you by any chance able to show us this in your next upload thank you xxx
This looks amazing. I need to make more for my large family, if using 5 mugs of rice how many mugs of broth should I use please?
Hi Elizabeth, for 5 mugs of rice I use 6 mugs of water/broth.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes brilliant thank you! I made this on Monday and it was amazing, such wonderful flavours. We all loved it 🥰
Shamsa, one question please sister. If I needed to make more rice when entertaining guests, what changes do I make to the quantities of the ingredients? Thanks so much 💕
Double all the quantity of ingredients. 👍
Can you please show how to make paya. But without a pressure cooker. My husband loves them but i dont know how to make.
Hi, you may use my pressure cooker recipe but cook it in a normal pot. Please note it will take double the time to cook it. I'll link it below should you be interested 😊👍
PAYA: ua-cam.com/video/0yBpC3gd6oY/v-deo.html
Approximately how long does it take for the rice to cook once you’ve added the yakhni?
Approx 6/8 mins
Hi, I made this recipe. Followed your instructions to the letter. Unfortunately , the rice was very sticky and mushy, stuck to the bottom of my pan too. I took the chicken out, which tasted amazing, and had to bin the rice. Any suggestions where I went wrong please. Thank you.
Oh no! What brand of rice did you use if you don't mind me asking? Rice brands different in the amount of cooking and water they need. Maybe next time try 1/2 to 1 cup less of broth and see. Who h should fix the problem.
Thank you for your reply. I used Tilda rice. I have made it again since, and it was slightly better. The chicken is amazing on its own though so we still enjoyed our meal.
Thanks for all your amazing videos.
How long do we soak the rice?
Is this different to the one you have already got up for yakni pilau?
This is the only video I have of Chicken Yakhni Pilau. The other is just Chicken Pilau made without Yakhni (broth).
Salaam, do you have a recipe for raita please?
Great recipe, thank you! One question, when you cook the onions to that colour, doesn’t it give off a bitter or sometimes sweet taste? I understand there’s a fine line between caramelising your onions and burning them... Do you have any tips of knowing where the line is when it comes to not burning your onions if that makes any sense?😁
Hi Bhavin, thanks for your comment 😊
The onions have never been bitter when cooked to that point. If they've not got the correct colour to them, how will they colour the pilau rice! You've just got to keep an eye on them and as soon as they have all kinda turned a golden brown colour that's when you keep them moving around to prevent them from burning. As most of the moisture has cooked out and theyll be cooking a lot faster. Keep moving them away from the heat and a thing a do is I place them in an outer circle away from the middle of the pan where the intense heat is, check if they need more cooking and move them back in again, doing that until I'm happy with the colour. You'll definitely know when your onions are burnt, they give off a distinctive smell. Hope that helps.
Hi which rice do you use and do you soak them for 30 mins or more ? Xx
Also I am abit confused, in your other videos you have said you use 1 cup rice to 2 cup water but how come you are using 4 cup water to 3 cup rice? Shouldn’t it be 6 cups of water? Thanks xx
Hi, I use Vetee Extra Long Basmati Rice and yes 30mins minimum soaking.
I want to use Desi pilau rice since I live in Bangladesh, so could you maybe please tell me how much desi pilau rice can be used int his recipe?
I'm sorry but I'm slightly confused as to why you ask that. The quantity of rice remains the same for any type of rice you use.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes oh sorry then, I asked because desi pilau rice grains are kinda smaller in size compared to basmati rice grains... anyways thanks 😊
Thanks that looks amazing. Is it possible you can give the water measurements in liters.🙏
Hi, sure- my standard mug measures 250ml so 250 x 4 = 1000ml in total 😀
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes Thanks very much. Really love your recipes. Keep up the good work.
Do you only add salt into the yakhni? Thank you :)
Kindly watch the video as I can't remember of the top of my head.
Where did you buy this pot from?

Surely you don't need to anglicise all the words like PEELAW, come on you know how to say it properly.
And if you dont like the way she pronounces it you know where the door is see yourself out, yet your still here watching and cooking using her content 🤔
@@deeznutz1362 absolutely NO complaints about her recipe. She is a great cook.
Aisha, thank you for your comment. You're quite right, but then what you fail to understand is my dear, I have people from many different ethnical backgrounds that follow me some for whom English is not their first language. So clear and concise pronunciation is required so they can understand. I hope that helps!
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes thanks for the respectful reply.. I acknowledge your point but perhaps they might benefit from hearing the correct pronunciation of our dishes, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. But at the end of the day it is YOUR channel. Keep up the amazing work!
I always thought were supposed to use twice as much water as rice? But here you’ve got 4 cups of the liquid and 3 for rice! 🫠 I’m scared to do this because it would be a massive waste of rice if it didn’t work, but it looks so good! Any tips?
Half the quantity of ingredients. No two rice brands are the same, some require more water than others and Sella rice requires double the amount. I'm using regular basmati.
