Sure is a beauty! I had one from new in 1980. I ran it until the late 90s when it cracked the head and I couldn't afford to rebuild it...but I still have the brand new, still in grease paper, 16 valve head awaiting any owner that needs one. Friends in the know researched for a head and believe there are no new ones available from Suzuki. I toured, raced, dropped and commuted all over New Zealand and then Australia on mine. Great looking bikes and easy to ride. Enjoy yours you lucky guy.
I agree with you great looking bike .Purchased one brand new in 1980/1 paid $2300 Ausi It was black with pin stripes It was my pride and joy :) I remember my first service went in to pick it up with my Dad we saw a bike in the service area all in pieces.The manager came out and told me the apprentice took for a test drive and dropped it.I still have original sale ticket and brochure ...........Thx for the memories
Super. Fantastic bike. All parts original. I like it very much. I have one new in 1980. now Ihave one from 1980, but it is in bad condition. I drive in Winter ( Elefantentreffen, Germany) and have many problems with rost. Good machine.

I had one of these as well. Was the crack between the exhaust and the spark plug?
