Nice vid! Going to try the Grand around the dam, York. Never been, except once for 30min at the dam, lol. I guess finding parking near shore fishing spots is the hardest thing, as well as access? I do not have waders, would love walleye, bass and pike if possible.
the lighter colours (white, pink, orange, bright green, etc) are a real benefit in muddy or dark waters, same reason why flashy spoons do well in that environment. fish can see them better
@@HookLineandKyleP ya bro can see it from my apt window :) really deep right now there due to all the rain TROUT RUNNING STRONG RIGHT NOW!!FROM LAKE ERIE
how far down from the dam was the second spot. I am looking for a place to launch my kayak without too much current and that spot looked great. is it close to a pla ce I can park because I cant carry my kayak to far because of the weight and all of the gear. I want to try some walleye fishing as well.
The Thornapple river goes through Caledonia. The Grand is North and East and goes through Lowell and Cascade.
Nice vid!

Parking isn’t that bad, also having waders would be a plus. Access isn’t bad actually. There is a pavilion you can walk under and have river access.
Great multi-species day. Thanks for sharing
It was fantastic, I am glad you came with me on this adventure.
Curious what factors weigh in on choosing what colours to throw.

@@christopherconnors9258 weird, as another video I commented on everyone is saying to use darker colours in muddy water.
I have always thrown darker baits when the water is muddy or merky.
That is a pretty cool place to fish looked like a good time out
It was a great time out, lost a few lures but that's a given. Thanks for watching!
Great day my friend big like 👍
Hey John, How are ya doing? Thanks for the great comment
Me and my good buddy fish this exact spot all the time maybe meet sometime brotha
Heck yes, I'll be down for that. Let me now when you'll be fishing here next, and let's meet up
nice "big" walleye ... :D lil pencil !
I thought it was a good size Walleye.
Great video again. Water level has gone up since I went two weeks ago. Clarity has gone down too.
Yes I noticed that when I went to the dam. It was still pretty good tho.
i live 30 seconds from the Dam :)
That is cool. I would love to live that close.

Better watch you guys keep your distance . The new C.O. is enforcing the distance you can fish below the dam ..
Yes I saw that signs. I thought we were far enough. I know it's 23meters from the dam.
I hope you catch many fishes.
I hope so too. Thank you for stopping by!

If you want to try Walleye fishing, go to Cockshutt Bridge and launch under there. There is a current, but it's not hard to paddle back up.
@@HookLineandKyleP I tried there but gave up after a couple of hours. How far down can yoi go before the current is too strong.
The current gets strong just as you reach the first bend.
Are there steelhead here in the spring?
Yes their are steelhead in the spring that run down the dam
Hook just sending my full support
Thank you!
Can somebody give me the exact adress?
Thanks
I just know it's Caledonia.
