    The Thornapple river goes through Caledonia. The Grand is North and East and goes through Lowell and Cascade.

    Nice vid!
    Going to try the Grand around the dam, York. Never been, except once for 30min at the dam, lol. I guess finding parking near shore fishing spots is the hardest thing, as well as access? I do not have waders, would love walleye, bass and pike if possible.

      Parking isn’t that bad, also having waders would be a plus. Access isn’t bad actually. There is a pavilion you can walk under and have river access.

    Curious what factors weigh in on choosing what colours to throw.

    • @christopherconnors9258
      @christopherconnors9258 Рік тому

      the lighter colours (white, pink, orange, bright green, etc) are a real benefit in muddy or dark waters, same reason why flashy spoons do well in that environment. fish can see them better

      @@christopherconnors9258 weird, as another video I commented on everyone is saying to use darker colours in muddy water.

      I have always thrown darker baits when the water is muddy or merky.

    Great video again. Water level has gone up since I went two weeks ago. Clarity has gone down too.

    Better watch you guys keep your distance . The new C.O. is enforcing the distance you can fish below the dam ..

    • @HookLineandKyleP
      @HookLineandKyleP  3 роки тому

      Yes I saw that signs. I thought we were far enough. I know it's 23meters from the dam.

    how far down from the dam was the second spot. I am looking for a place to launch my kayak without too much current and that spot looked great. is it close to a pla ce I can park because I cant carry my kayak to far because of the weight and all of the gear. I want to try some walleye fishing as well.

    • @HookLineandKyleP
      @HookLineandKyleP  3 роки тому

      If you want to try Walleye fishing, go to Cockshutt Bridge and launch under there. There is a current, but it's not hard to paddle back up.

      @@HookLineandKyleP I tried there but gave up after a couple of hours. How far down can yoi go before the current is too strong.

    • @HookLineandKyleP
      @HookLineandKyleP  3 роки тому

      The current gets strong just as you reach the first bend.
