The Gabors are to the 50s what the Kardashians are to the 2000s. But the Gabors had talent and actually proved they could command the screen - particularly Eva in Green Acres and Zsa Zsa in, um, Queen of Outer Space. To date, I have no idea why the Kardashians remain "famous." Seriously, Zsa Zsa appeared in a Night Gallery episode, "The Painted Mirror." It actually played to her few strengths as a performer, and she was a lot of fun. Funny thing: I once worked with a Hungarian girl named Sari (pronounced Sadi). Some time later, when I realized that Zsa Zsa's birth name was also Sari, presumably pronounced the same way, I finally understood how that became Zsa Zsa.
At least the Gabors didn't have to lower their virtue to gain wealth as much but the one that was outstanding was Magda Gabor was the smartest and helped WWII in terms of helping the underground Hungarian by deciphering codes to help the war efforts. That to me means a lot.
My knowledge on the Gabors is very limited. Yes, I do recall seeing them in films during the first half of the 50's when I was a tiny kid. Was Zsa Zsa in the film with Liz Taylor and Van Johnson "The Last time I saw Paris"? From what I could recall, it was a sort of walk-on part. She also had a cameo in the musical "You're lovely to look at". She had a supporting role in a Tony Curtis starrer, where he has a number of wives and finds ways to get rid of them to inherit their wealth. Zsa Zsa is pushed into a rocket and that's the last we see of her. Even though Zsa Zsa was very glamorous, I liked Eva the best. Eva, who had the best looks among the sisters, came across as a very sensible and fine actress. She was with Leslie Caron and Louis Jordan in "Gigi". Eva's hit television series "Green Acres" proved she was not only the best, but also had career longevity.
I saw a bio about the Gabors and one thing that struck me as particularly funny was how infuriated Jolie would become when each of the sisters would fly in and "borrow" jewelry from her boutique and then never return it! Haha!
I somewhat disagree 💕⚘️ The Gabor sisters were highly intelligent, beautiful and spoke several languages 💕 Although, they were the 1st sisters famous for only marrying men with money & not ashamed for doing so 😮
Shit, she lived her life to the fullest of sorts. You only get one chance on this shit called earth. Make the best of it the best way you can. And take a chance or two.

The Gabor sisters' lives were truly a whirlwind of glamour, drama, and resilience.

I got to do her hair ( Eva) a year before she died, and she looked great and had a hairpiece on that looked so natural you couldn’t tell at all
Zsa Zsa was also in the PBS show Ghost Writer!
What an interesting story! Hope someone makes a movie about them someday!

As a kid my mom shopped in Jolie's beautiful jewelry boutique in NYC....
LATE VIEWER FROM PHILIPPINES
Eva was the bomb.
I would have made Vilmos Gabor's life hell until HE begged for a divorce.
😂😂😂 They were something ⚘️⚘️⚘️
You're not as clever as him though!
The Gabor sisters had style, class and were well educated. The sane cannot be said of the others sister family mentioned.
All three were in movies. Magda was in Mai Ianyok in 1937
Jolie always called Magda the smart one, as Magda partnered with Jolie and they made a fortune in the jewellery business.
A great doc...but please end the commercials.
Mom loved Gabor wigs we got catalogs
Wow 😲😲😲😲
The Kardashians only wish they could be the Gabors, they were far more interesting 😊😂
Batman was awesome
Rip
It's possible to live too long, and that's what happened to Zsa Zsa.
These were the first jewish shallow Kardashians of there era

Who were the second?
@@bonniem3754 The Kardashians
@@VanessaDillon-x3s The Kardashians aren’t Jewish! They’re Caucasian and Armenian.
@@bonniem3754 The Bouvier sisters, Jackie Yes that Jackie, and Lee Radziwil.
Twenty seconds of that was enough. I thought it might be interesting. But really I don't give a rats hind end.
