Installing the Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect

Victron Energy’s BatteryProtect - most commonly used to prevent DC loads from completely discharging (and damaging) your battery - is a great addition to any 12, 24, or 48V system. In this video, Matt Walker - Victron Energy’s North American Training Manager - gives a quick overview of the installation and programming of the Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V - 100A model. Other models have a similar installation procedure, though non-smart models do not have Bluetooth connectivity and therefore require manual programming - see manual for details.

The Smart BatteryProtect also has several other uses, such as:
*Turning on loads only under certain conditions is useful for dump loads or high-power loads like DC air conditioners.
