Happy Birthday Cousin. 🎂 John, you mentioned your Dad. Back in the summer of 1993, me and my husband were visiting with your family. Our car a 1982 Datsun. The battery went on it. Your Dad replaced the battery no charge and lent us a Volkswagen Rabbit for the day. The Rabbit was probably the one you drove a few years later. Cool junkyard.
Do the yard owners sell the parts! It's pretty strange to me if the owners don't sell parts nor cars because then the people that like to visit but not buy cars or parts may be good canidates for for a mental health evaluation.
An amazing place, thank you very much for the tour. I'm glad you stopped to show me the Renault 10, Ford Capri, Triumph Spitfire and ADO16 Austin America
Wow John, thanks! What a great video! A dream from american car brands! I'm surprised about the European cars. A rare Borgward from Bremen, Opel Kadett B Coupe, a mega rare Opel Kadett A Caravan, rare Fiat-NSU Neckar (a German/Italian co-production), VW Golf 1, Audi Fox (= Audi 80, was also available as a GTE), Renault Major 10, Opel Manta A (the ray!), Renault Caravelle (in Europe = Floride), a Sunbeam Tiger, English Ford Anglia, Austin 1100. The Ford Capri MK1 had I once called it a 2600 RS (it was the Porsche killer from 1970!!). I just don't understand why there is so much enthusiasm for European and Japanese classic cars in America? You have the wonderful “giant ships”! Great video! Thanks! Greetings Klaus from Düsseldorf
I live in New Zealand and Japanese cars were popular on our roads. They were introduced in the mid sixties and flooded the car market by the 1970s. Some classic Japanese autos there. Interesting the German Audi Fox there. They were a nice car in the late 1970s early 80s. A French Renault 8 or 10 1960s model there too. They were assembled in NZ back then. An old Volkswagon van. My father owned one in the 1960s, because we were a large family of six children, so a sizable vechile was needed to transport us around. Some international cars there amongst the American ones. Thanks for the video.
There was a piece of property near me for a while that had an “illegal” estate sale and my buddy and I got permission to go back on the property which had multiple old american cars (econoline, old 70s dodge wagon, ford wagon, an older mercedes, some old cadillacs) we even found what looked to be a chop shop dumping spot and I grabbed a vintage racing helmet from under a big block. Super cool experience but a power company ended up buying the land and moving the cars off it. Have a few pictures from the adventure too
*edit - You Definitely have the best content on this place i've seen! the hype for patina and the quirky cars I equally love, fantastic! For me with Automotive Photography , Patina is everything! It tells a story has character and you literally nailed it with your explanation.. Painted cars all I see is lipstick on pigs full of Bondo and just lost car souls lol Then 3 yrs later the paintjobs are absolutely trashed and worse than before it was painted. Old Car City is on my bucket list 100% & dying to go for photography heaven, was hoping to go this year, just down in Florida not too far....
Man if I ever come over to the States from NZ, I'd love to visit this spot. You hardly ever see a split window bus here. I would shoot so many damn photos there.
John your channel has become one of my favorite channels to watch. Lots of info and never boring. Thanks for keeping it clean for the kids! I also relocated down south from New Hampshire! MMHS for life. I think we ran in to each others builds back in the Stanceworks days. I got a channel too, check it out if you got time! Toyota corona looks very similar to the lada’s Vaz 2101. Very cool video.
Very interesting place! As you said, unbelievable they have some of those extremely valuable cars in there?! Love to hear more about why? That Capri, R100, celica and split window. Lots of vw beetles in there too!
Yeah they got bumper stickers and a aerial picture of the place that goes for miles last time I was there they were looking for me for 2 days because they were closed
Awesome place! The Cadillac near the end is a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Hardtop, I was just looking at some of those the other day, but they were from good shape to REALLY good shape, and they're going for just over $100k. to over $200k. for a very nice, pretty much brand new-looking convertible. lol.
Holy cow a 1964 Corvair 500 coupe at the end!! That's an endangered species Corvair! I absolutely love Cadillacs and Corvairs! OMG I wanna visit this place! I wonder how many Chevrolet Corvair 95 forward controls (Greenbrier, Corvan, Rampside, Loadside) are in there! I love Corvairs and have earlies, lates, and FCs! I think I'm gonna lower my '62 Monza wagon.........Dang your late looks sick! 👍🏻
In Griffin Ga, there is a 65 corvair with factory suppercharger. It is forsale. There is also a 64 corvair 700. I can get it for a couple hundred. Both are complete.
cool saw 4:12 Bergward Isabela ,opel ,ford angla 4:24 Aston America dodge colt Toyota corona mkII at 4:50 love the 71 -72 capri @9:2116:13 Renault R10 16:46 opel manta or ascona id wan to grab all the Opels and Toyotas

I wasn't freaking out too much until I saw the Caravelle. Think you just saw a ton of Datsuns, Mazdas, and Toyotas? Next time you come visit Aidan, we're going to a place down the street from me. Edit: Also the Studebaker Lark wagon to the left of that last Corvair you pointed out, that's on my list.
Don't suppose you'd disclose where in NH that yard would be?? I'm in the Lakes Region .....Got a 56 Bel Air. I'm starting to work on it, and some sources would be good to know .
I think I know the New Hampshire junkyard that you mentioned in your video. I’m friends with them as well. Haven’t been in a while but I see Pete once in a while at Gilpatrics in Bristol. Great video. I hope to check it out sometime.
Hey man, what percentage of those cars that you saw would you say are worth restoring both in financial perspective, as well as just the point of no return where it’s too far messed up even if the car itself would be very valuable if mint
I went there last year. You cannot touch or take pictures unless you pay extra. It was like 30 bucks a head just to walk around and 90% of the cars are so rusted and in such sad state you can hardly recognize many of them. In my opiniun Highly Overrated and way too expensive. You are told do not even touch the cars, you cannot even look in them!
Right? That would be the day I would charge $30 to enter my junkyard. I’m a car guy, who’s friends are car guys, and their friends are car guys. Bring a six pack at quitting time, and share some stories.
Unfortunately too many idiots ruined things for the rest of us. More and more yards not allowing anyone to open hoods or doors cuz they bent the crap out of then trying. More yards too are not allowing people in the yard at all. Liability issues, ridiculous insurance rates. Then there's too much vandalism and even theft. NEVER had issues years ago, but now too many a-holes that have absolutely no respect.
Yeah I really hate that junkyard. When I was young I loved going there. Back then it was run by different family member. Now when I see it advertised on UA-cam I cringe because the management is only about money now and really don't care that there are people who would save a lot of those vehicles. Us classic car buffs only see what a total waste that place is. It's like the old man in his 70s saying "nah , I'm going to fix that 68 Chevy up one day. And it just sits and rusts to nothing.
Alright guy. I was thinking corvair vw guy....hmmm and was like this guy is excited over a early cely when there was a stock 1200 or r100 setting there! Wish you would of shown the interior or mentioned that it came with 14' wheels in 69 and a 10a twin dizzy rotary. Side note on the r100 is that rust was from being parked with gasoline in tank that turned & the fumes rusted out the metal any where seam sealer was used. If you got in the trunk the bottom of fuel tank would of been rusted out also. Cool find & props on recognizing a amazing beyond rare peice of auto history
I just found your channel and subscribed and I can't wait to see your second video of this amazing junkyard. I have seen part of this place in a t.v. show but they only showed the models that they liked. I like all different types and I like seeing cars that I have never seen before so thank you for taking us along with you I really enjoyed your video.
WOW FLAT lights in there on a celica! Dang those are worth a lot! I have a 74 Celica. They are the best car in the world. RWD 4cyl, reliable engine / trans. What more does an enthusiast need? 4cyl = Good compromise between fuel usage, performance power and simplicity imo.
I've had Borgwards all my life. l think l told you about a Auto Union coupe.thats for sale. When l was young my friend had a Mazda R100, my other had a 2 cycle Saab.

I have this car here in the Netherlands!
It's an Opel Kadett B Coupe Rallye.
So much diversity in that graveyard, very cool!
That is amazing!

Crazy to see a lot of cars I didn't have an idea existed, love junkyard content like this, never been to a junkyard with so much antiques

That place is cool, some REALLY nice cars there, it's sad when nice cars are put into a junkyard

That was fun John, thanks for bringing us along.
By far my favorite video. 100% agree with the Vega slammed & tubbed on 13s
I really appreciate that! And yes, it must happen!!

I was here in 2020, the perfect place to social distance! And the place across the street has really good food!
It was closed when we finally left!

its amazing to see some of these cars with their license plates still attached!
It’s crazy to see when they were last on the road!
+1 on doing a Vega! 👍

Thanks for showing the unique cars in there! That’s the stuff I like to see
I figured all of the American stuff has been heavily documented already 😂
@@JohnLudwick totally! I own a 73 celica and when I saw your thumbnail I knew it would be worth watching.
Next time check out the museum upstairs , lots of artwork.
Look forward to your next visit, show some very cool cars, thank you.
Thank you!
Happy Birthday John, interesting to see some of those cars.
Thank you!

Yea man absolutely!
9:24 So that’s where my Capri ended up!
Very interesting place! As you said, unbelievable they have some of those extremely valuable cars in there?! Love to hear more about why?
That Capri, R100, celica and split window. Lots of vw beetles in there too!
This place is so cool. You like the same strange stuff I do. I need a corvair in my life. Hope you had a good birthday. 👍
We totally do man! And thank you!
Just to let you know there's a junkyard in Minnesota called Windy Hill it has over 480,000 cars in it have a happy birthday to you too
That’s awesome!!
Yeah they got bumper stickers and a aerial picture of the place that goes for miles last time I was there they were looking for me for 2 days because they were closed

That's my birthday present for you
Happy birthday, John.

This is great. Totally what I would do on my birthday, HBD.

The Opel Manta A is by far the sexiest!!! Nice place
They are beautiful cars!

Happy birthday!!!!

Nice video but I'm afraid that near where I live there is a 100 acre yard with nearly 10,000 cars in it!
That’s amazing!
