Often, even with very good scouts, the scouting reports are often crap. A very good way to find good players is to check out youth/full internationals playing at a level greater than their age. A player at 16 playing for their countries U-20s is often a very good potential player
I always just filter the players in range screen for under 19 players that are on their main national team, then scout all the ones from strong nations. Finds a bunch of gems!
I started unemployed with c grade coaching badge and international experience first job I got was under 20 USA job, then got a job at NYCFC and having that job really keeps my finger in the pulse of the best younguns
I used to look 16-17 with like 1-2 CA from scouts, and 4-5 PA with decent determination, scout saying somewhat ambitious, and a shit tonne of stats that are at the same level like 7, 8 or 9. Always seems to be tied to a 70 or 80 PA and all those stats stick close together as CA rises 😅. Didn't always work. These days tend to focus on building staff first season then trying to rely on them for a "realistic" save. But they make some massive errors, realistic as a MAN UFC fan 😅
If you buy those young players, do you put them in your youth players or do you put them in your A squad? I always put the best youth in my A squad but I'm not sure if that's the best way... Thx to all you guys answering :-)
Kev, This is great, thanks. I have a couple of questions. Do you set your interested in transfer to "Interested" or "slightly Interested" by default on the scouted screen (or one of the other options)? Also, Do you look much at what the Scouts tell you about "consistency" and, to a lesser degree ", important Match" ratings for a player?
I’ll usually leave it to interested. I don’t really care about anything other than the 5 star potential and price. I don’t take that other stuff into account at all.
For me when I youth poach I look for the guys who have the highest values, approach to sign them and 9/10 times I have a 5* PA player for about a million pounds each time. That being said my best wonderkid, Romanian striker Gabriel Čalin, was signed for £7.5m aged 16.
Kev, can you share how you set up staff responsibilities and how you employ staff? I find it tedious searching for staff based on attributes. Looking for a more simplistic way of doing it.
Yes, it just scales down. You probably won’t be signing the ones that Barcelona are trying to get, but if you see Aston Villa are interested for example, that’s probably a level above you so worth looking at.
@@lollujo thank you I have played for years and always hit a bit of a wall after getting into Europe hopefully can start winning league titles more consistently
Because the ones I have are fine. I don’t use staff search, so I hire the best ones who apply for the job when I put a job advert out. But the scouts I have are plenty good enough.
A lot of people like to “min max” their staff, and certainly those people will try to get the highest possible ratings by using the staff search. From what I can tell, Kev doesn’t play that way. He doesn’t go searching for the scouts with the highest ability. He just puts out an advertisement and hires someone who applies.
Thanks for content Kev Any chance you could do loan players to get for vanarama / div2. Starting with South Shields Just a thought instead of wonderkids we can only dream about 😀👍
what is a wonderkid anyway would you say that a wonderkid is someone who signs for chelsea for 100 million or one who signed for 9 in r/l chelsea signed 2 yng players for 100 million done nothing endo for liverpool for 9 has scored and is 30 and if you want a centre back a wonderkid strier is a wonderkid but not the best player wonderkid is a term used by youtubers to get more views and surely if you win 3-1 with wonderkids in your team whats difference between an older player scoring and u winning 3-1

Yh tbf I found a young striker from Belgium doing this, signed him for £15 million and his value went up to £80 million + within a year

Kev, do you have your views available for FM24 which you use in Players Scouted please. Love your channels!!

@lollujo it's a really simple way to approach the game. Something I like.

How do I opt in the Scout recommendations? I don't see it on my default settings and don't know what to do
At 1:40 there is a graphic/spider map on right side. How does one get thst? My game judt shows star compare
So what are you putting when doing them 7 creating recruitment focuses?
changed my scouts thanks kev
Predicting PA in newgens is kind of impossible. You can only guesstimate it in the vicinity of +130 or

I just put our job adverts when I have vacancies and hire one of the people who applies
Leave it all to technical director
Do these tips work if you’re managing in the leagues like the Scottish premiership or Croatian divisions?
Yeah I picked up a few wonder kids at Peterhead after I got them promoted.

In your inbox on march 31st.
Can you make a similar video for console please😊. Thank you love your vids.
Great Video! Just a question: How do you get the recommendation to show up on the player scouted list? I can't seem to find it :(

Let’s go 🎉🎉🎉
ive started doing all of this now. do you not add players to your shortlist? that way you can keep scout reports up to date.
No, never seen the need to. I don’t use shortlists at all.
@@lollujo fair enough, i mean your way works :)

Great advice but what about building up scouting knowledge of areas/countries which produce lots of talented wonderkids?
Never felt the need. Never been short of wonderkids.
Hire staff with scouting knowledge of those areas you want to scout
how can i purchase these kids when my transfer budget is 2M???

Very informative video..thx Kevin.

I guess if they're not going to play in your team then send them out on loan?
Why do you have a player called spicy dwarf 😂
Can't wait to see the 6 Burton albion wonderkids
