Outstanding review as usual. No doubt a very unique and interesting piece. More of a work of art than a watch, a conversation piece for sure. I think Ciga should be commended for its originality and engineering abilities. I would like to own one, just not willing to part with about $1,000 as I have other pieces in mind which are of higher priority to me... thank you again for a great review and for sharing your thoughts 🙏👍🙌
Thanks for those thoughts! It is indeed quite a special piece. I do wonder how much sharper they can make the pride and still have some profit. R&D does cost of course…
Hi Ivan, nice to see you again and thank for this great review. I must say that I WILL BUY THIS WATCH because as far as the design & concept are concerned, it is absolutely near perfect watch. And I love the fact that they have put Eastern Hemisphere instead of Western since the economic/political power is changing (well, this is my own interpretation, but I am sure that Ciga design being China Made, they wanted to do Eastern earth, ha ha ) Even though the price is a bit on the hefty side, I guess that they got to recoop some money that they had invested in R&D. for me, I just love the design work, absolutely flawless. However, as for the 30 m water resistance, Yes, they need to improve on that one which shouldn't be so difficult. Also, it would be a nice idea to offer a heavy-duty mesh bracelet (like Omega 007 Seamaster in Titanium) included with their offering price. Then, it would be not only ideal to complete the look, but they should be able to sell tons of them because the China-made that bracelet shouldn't cost no more than $20.00) Anyway, Love the watch and design work and thank you for introducing to us. Have a great day, Ivan.
Hi Alex! Did you end up receiving this watch yet? I am a bit confused as to how much more production they are making, as apparently the initial run was limited edition, but the current site doesn't say so. I do agree very much about the Eastern Hemisphere being shown here... honestly sick and tired about why aliens in media always seem to see our world over USA... just makes no sense at all. The website I think says it's a screw crown so hopefully that boosts the WR a bit. Cheers mate!
Certainly unique and a different concept. Nice to see the different view of the earth. However it just doesn't really work as a watch for me. It's definitely more art then watch. Oh and we will call it "blue planet", focus everyone's attention in on the ocean, give it great dive capable rubber straps .....and make it 30m wr so it can't see a drop of water.... At $900-$1000 there are so many choices I'd rather put on my wrist. But each to their own, if everyone liked the same things how boring it would be. 🌏. Nice review as always 👍
Thanks for the thoughts Chris - oh yes how I wish they put the screw down crown here with at least 100m WR. But wait, as it is, it should be able to see at least a few drops of water. It might also keep Covid out if someone happened to sneeze on it :)
@@PerthWAtch there are too many great watches out there that I would personally buy before this. It’s an interesting project to look at, but I’m not planning to purchase.
I believe spinability better than 3.5. Seriously, terrific review.
Yeah I think it was a 4, watching it again…

@@PerthWAtch You make a good point...R&D is expensive. Kudos to them for pushing the envelope of originality.
Great review - thanks, amazing watch!
Thanks Phil!
The design of this watch is awesome 👌
Agreed!!
I enjoy your work Ivan!
Glad to hear it!

Certainly a conversation piece 👍 thanks Ivan good review
Good to hear from you James!
What do You expect the price will be for the the Chinese homages?
A bargain
And it's the first ever camera shot of earth from space and that's what they used for the design
What’s a “can camera shot”?
@@PerthWAtch I meant camera shot. The first pic ever taken of the earth from space. That's what the dial is designed from.
Nope, don’t think so

Thanks for another great review 👌
Most welcome :)
If Ciga really wanted to have some fun, make a solar powered version.
And make a rotating sun around the dial? I like it :)
Such a cool watch company.
Yes they are :)
Terrible watch. Great piece of engineering.
Bad Bobby!
Nice one!
Will you guys be getting one?

Fair enough mate!
Design 9/10.......Functionality 2/10 and if I had $1000 I'd spend it somewhere else....stay safe
Screw down crown for 100m would raise functionality for me - wish this had that!
They copied the seiko.... nothing unique here..
Wrong
@@PerthWAtch no I'm not. Seiko did this years ago. Seiko think the earth. So explain how I'm wrong.....
