That looks amazing! I kind of wish that they had gone with a perspective of the globe from the north pole, so that the rotation of the globe on the dial actually matched the rotation of the earth. (Maybe make a south pole dial version as well for people in the southern hemisphere).
it would have needed a 24 hour movement to not have the globe make 2 revolutions/day, but that would have been just perfect for this watch.. with a 24h movement they could have even made a day/ night shadow over the earth as-well. the big problem would have been to coordinate the map with your timezone but it could have been done if the compass/cardinal points star was independently set from the globe but still rotate with it.. it's also very clever how they made the minute ring rotate 1h and 05m every hour to match the travel of the "hour hand" too.
I agree that it's not the best for telling time but it's a cool piece something to sit back and look at , great conversation piece great video appreciate it
WOW! That is phenomenal to see CIGA win the design challenge, truly a great accomplishment! I am impressed, it's a cool watch, no doubt, maybe a bit more WR is the only downside I can think of. Not a deal breaker though, since I wouldn't wear a watch like that in the pool or while doing any sporting events. Congrats on the collab, that's a fun piece for the collection! 😎🍻👍
Good morning Bob, interesting watch for sure. The design scaled up would make an interesting desk clock. Thank you so much for showing us this watch. Stay warm. Enjoy your weekend.
Kind of a shame they didn't put some lume on that compass marker, at least you'd be able to get a rough guess of the time in lower light. Also that big CIGA Design logo, that could have been integrated a bit better. Very interesting design though!
I'm not one for such unusual watches, but this has a charm, it looks spectacular and can see why it has won a design award. Thanks for such an in-depth view, great review 👍
Hey Bob! Congrats on this collab. I’m conflicted because it’s such a unique design and would get a ton of compliments attention. The execution is lacking regarding telling time. The concept alone makes it difficult being untraditional but making the font small and illegible is outright criminal. Maybe if they include a magnifying glass that swings out from under the case? 😂 I was thinking that looking at the earth from from the North Pole would’ve made a little more sense. I don’t know? Either way, what a cool piece to add to your collection.
Stunning looking watch, and I'd have no problem wearing it. Sadly it's way out of my price range and that's before you exchange it for Aussie dollars. Great review Bob, looks like a real fun watch to own.
I saw this on ebay 2 days ago and i was tempted to bid on it. It sold for 350 GBP! It looks great and owning one is cool for sure, but I knew I wasn't going to wear it because of the size and how tough it would be to read the time.
That is not the easiest to read but oh so cool, it looks like counterpart to the U Series event horizon I had a while back, but this is that next level better.
very impressive design, not the kind of watch that you would wear to tell the time you would wear it just because its cool, certainly a conversation starter.
Could never understand why some graphic/industrial designers found some weirdos in China and started this brand. Prototype packaging always, weird design in watches and most of times... unreadable... All of their watches have the same flaw, it's tough to say what time it is! Classic designers hype, form DOES NOT follows function. Still a lot to learn, or a lot of cash to throw away i guess. Thanks for the review Bob, be well mate. Cheers.

This is a top-notch idea 💪🏼💪🏼
Yes. That would be have been cool for sure. Thanks Dave!

Absolutely. Thank you!

Thanks David. Awesome to get hands on with a watch like this. Have a nice weekend!
Hello Dave 👊
Very interesting design, would have bought one if the size weren’t so big.
Good morning Bob, interesting watch for sure. The design scaled up would make an interesting desk clock. Thank you so much for showing us this watch. Stay warm. Enjoy your weekend.
I'd to see it as a desk clock. That would be so cool. Thanks!
Very cool! 😸 But I do wish the hour numbers were larger, Thanks!
Yes. It's tough to read with them being so small. Thanks!
That is such a cool watch but I agree, I don't know that I would wear it that frequently. Still fun to see, thank you Bob 👍
I just really have fun with watches like this. Not the most practical but a neat watch. Thanks Jeff!

Thank you. Always fun checking out these more unique watches. Cheers!
This is definitely a very cool design and different approach
Thanks Omar👍
Yep, a novelty for the guy who already has all the watches he wants and is looking for something different. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Marcelo. Have a nice weekend!
I'm in love! Who do I need to be mates with to get one of these in?
It's definitely a really cool watch. Thanks!

Lol! Love the magnifying glass idea 😅 Yeah neat watch but not ideal for time telling at all.
Stunning looking watch, and I'd have no problem wearing it. Sadly it's way out of my price range and that's before you exchange it for Aussie dollars. Great review Bob, looks like a real fun watch to own.
Thanks! It is a lot of fun. Definitely a neat one.
What’s the difference between this and the Seiko Think The Earth Wn-1? It’s so similar and makes me wonder how they won on a not-so-unique design.
I'm not sure how they come up with the winners. I have friend that owns the WN-2. Might have to borrow it for a comparison.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces another good comparison would be the Magellan 1521 planet series
Can the maintenance of the caliber of this watch after 5 years be done by any watchmaker or must it be sent to Ciga Design?
I woukd think a decent watchmaker would be able to service it.
Super cool. Great review, as always. Thanks Bob.
Appreciate it Don!
Very cool and great review Bob 👏
Thanks Miguel!
Great watch
I'd like to have one but it's a bit expensive.
It is a little pricey but it's really well made. Thanks!

It is very tricky to read. Fun watch but not overly functional. Thanks Eve!
Ciga design will release the watch on their official website, other channels are fake!
@@yunlili9739 The one I saw on ebay was from a youtube channel that did a review so i think that one was legit at least.
Very kool design. I bet if it was made by a higher swiss brand, this wouldve been x0000 more
I'm sure it would be too.
This watch is amazing, I hope can get one too
Thank and good luck picking one up 👍
That is not the easiest to read but oh so cool, it looks like counterpart to the U Series event horizon I had a while back, but this is that next level better.
Thanks Wes!
Interesting watch, definitely a conversation starter, but I guess I would pull out my iPhone if someone was asking the time:)
Yep. You definitely need a backup time teller with this on wrist 😁👍
Love it.

😁👍🤘
very impressive design, not the kind of watch that you would wear to tell the time you would wear it just because its cool, certainly a conversation starter.
Yes. I agree. It's a fun one to wear every once in awhile for sure and definitely a conversation starter. Thanks!

Yes. If you're needing a watch to tell you the time this definitely isn't the one. Thanks Stavros 👍👍
