Jonathan Davis breakdown at the end was 100% real, he had a breakdown and the producer kept the recording going
Actually it was JDs idea. He told the producer to keep rolling no matter what.
He told the band and everyone in the booth to just keep going no matter what happens
Hope you guys don't mind me saying this, not intending to be too denfensive, it just irks me when people can't understand that; A woman CAN rape a man/boy. Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration(mouth, anus ect) carried out against a person without their consent. If Jonathan says he was raped, he was raped, not "just" molested, because the rapist is a woman. I might seem a little aggressive of me to point out, but this is a normal misunderstanding which just hurts to see time and time again. Believe women has been quite a statement.. Believe men too. Men get raped by other men and by women all the time, it's horrible. Thanks for trying to understand this song, as hard and triggering as it can be.
Because our society is based on double standards and that goes for both men and women, it's aggravating to say the least when people equate one type of issue for one particular sex "just because". Glad you brought it up tho!
Yes, a man can absolutely abused by a woman. And is much less likely to get help. It hurts them just as bad though, and might at least partially explain the high rates of male suicide. Some of my friends have been in this situation and I'm so sad for them.
I was as well so yes it can happen.
i was molested as a child by a family member, this song was a saving grace for me.. nothing but love and wish the absolute best
Who said women can't rape? Wtf
I feel no emotion from these two just seem either lifeless or narcissistic I wanted to see the emotion of the song goe through them like I did and they just sat there the whole time abit and it was just maddening and made me feel like they didnt feel it or just didnt grasp the serious concept of it... just aggravating I would say to me at lesst
Jonathan davis was abused as a child..and shared his story with the world..and has helped many who have gone through this👍😎
The most disturbing part is her smiling listening
Smiling until the chorus came in was wild yall
when jonathan davis (singer) went in the booth to record this, he told the producer not to stop recording under any circumstances. what resulted was this. this is jonathan reliving his trauma and then deciding to put it out there on their debut album for everybody to hear and try to understand. the guts it took to put this out there i can't even comprehend. the intro to the song was recorded afterwards. knowing what happened while recording he felt the need to let his mom know that he still loves her (now that i'm done, know that i will always love you) in spite of what happened. this song helped countless people that had been abused come forward and start to deal with what happened to them. frankly your chuckling about him possibly having to do retakes during him breaking down in front of the mic to get it to sound right is fucked up. other than that decent reaction i guess. kind of seemed disconnected from what was actually going on in the song. i don't think you grasped the gravity in the moment what you were being presented with in this song. you seemed kind of dismissive
Not that i disagree at all, just going to add, some ppl react that way cause they are unconformable and don't know how to react. I watched a lot of react vids to this song. Some ppl embrace whats going on, break down with him, ect. Some ppl cover their face, some smile and laugh uncomfortably, cross their arms and close off, stare off to the side often not to keep looking at lyrics, and some just have the look of "surprised" or disbelief. Some ppl even try to joke to ease their discomfort, and even seen a few where they zone out and seem to go somewhere else while they just wait for it to finish.
Even though she has an awkward smile, you can see subtle twitches especially in here eyes and mouth that shes not really wanting to smile but doesn't know what else she should be doing.
all that aside, Matt like your understanding of music and human emotion, keep being you!
@@hussainmoosavi6090 I was gonna say the same, its definetly a response to feeling uncomftable about alot of emotions. Its not really a mean chuckle its more of a "what do i say" thing.
it's the way some people cope with stuff like that
it's a normal mechanism for some to laugh or overplay it because they feel uncomfy
The breakdown was very real. You can hear the band drop into standby mode about halfway in. At that point, he lets it all out. He insisted everyone continue anyway, but it's very difficult to listen to. And they kept it as the last track on the first album. It's also worth noting that they were all teens at this point, and did the best they could with something really horrific. The song was preformed live once. Probably won't happen again
You both must of had good life that you can smile at this song clowns
From what i understand he told his band mates to keep going no matter what. Him breaking down is 100% real. He only ever performed this song live once from what ive read
(at 18:04) The door opening and closing sound at the end is the band coming in the recording booth, they all surrounded Johnathan, hugging/supporting him in silence. And that's when the recording stopped. Great song but very heavy, it was the last song, so you didn't have to listen to it a million times. I could just stop it before that song started. Cause that's not one you want to hear too often.
lol I like how she's vibing to a song that litterally talking about child rap i ng
This is probably the most stale reaction I've ever seen to this song... smh
Worst one yet.
I love seeing all these people’s reactions to the first time hearing Daddy because they have no idea what they’re in for lol… i heard this almost 30 years ago….. shit was wild
KoRn is the soundtrack to my life. Alone I Break is probably my favorite one, but it hits me pretty hard sometimes just on how relatable it is.
She: "this is so sad :D"
The ending is Jonathan breaking down and they kept recording and kept it , Korn didn’t perform this live much because it was so emotional for Jonathan because he didn’t want to relive it
Lolol wtf. Is she still tryna Bob to the beat and get her groove on?!
when I first heard this song 25+ years ago I never ever thought that I would be watching people listen to this song and tell their thoughts
you know whats more disturbing then this song? the fact that you find the molestation and sexual abuse of a child amusing and even funny at times. one couldn't help but notice your smiles and smirks thru out the whole song and even joking at the end. you guys are fucked!
fr
this was a 1 take he told the band to keep playing whatever happend. this is a true pain release took him 25 yearsa to do it live. this is by far the most emotional and painfull song ever made epscially if you know what the lead singer went trough
Watch a live version, he didn't play it live for a long time for obvious reasons. when he does it live you can see it still gets to him to that date. He is a strong man for being able to make this song and do it live when he chooses. And like others before me posted, when they recorded this he told the producer he would do it only if she kept recording all of it.
You don't have to do a reaction vid to this song but anyone interested, he also does a song called "4 u" where it sings about how he couldn't do what he does if it was not "for you" (as in he does it for his fans, and he can do is because of us). He explained in a video i saw before the song plays its really hard for him to make the music, put himself out there, and also when he plays live. It's worth a listen for sure.
Thanks for the reaction! So.... (seemed like ya'll might be newish, not telling you how to do things, just giving feedback as a viewer.) Ppl seem to get disconnected (meaning you guys, the reactors), as well as when listeners have to sit through the pause and listen to what you have to say instead of listening. Best react videos i've seen, the reactors pull up the official video, have lyrics puled up else where to look at, take notes on what they want to say instead of stopping, then they talk about it and/or go back to parts of the vid they want to watch again. Also, you are allowed to have your own views and interpretation. So fuck all those ppl in the future and past for giving you a shit for getting things wrong or simply just not knowing lol. thanks again, and keep on reacting!
u can't tell that these ppl seem like narcissists or psychos? did u not notice how they were making jokes and laughing the whole time? u don't need to explain to them that's what they shouldn't be doing.
You can tell that chick went in very blind to the song. Lol.
I love this song because I identify with it because even though I wasn’t sexually abused I was physically and emotionally abused by my father
This song makes my heart hurt, but it is also such a good display of what abuse cant do to a person.
lol she went from bobbing to staring wide eyed REAL QUICK 😂
Hey man I'm just a guy living my life bored on UA-cam. I love this song because it represents everything that music is supposed to stand for. Music is supposed to evoke a feeling and sometimes that feeling is THIS. never happened but I have compassion. This was the definition of a reaction. She was so thrown off nodding to seem composed but so disturbed. Congratulations to her for being a soldier and congratulations to you for having compelling content on UA-cam. Keep it up then get 🤑
"A joke song" Trauma doesn't just become a fucking joke, god you two really shouldn't have reacted or listened to this song if you can't even feel true sympathy for people who've gone through this
The song in the end is real too. I forget the name of it. They have performed it live but he never wants to do it again
It was one take.
He made his band mates swear not to stop while he let everything out
They preformed it I think for the first time in 2015 . Or the first-time playing the compete song . I think they did 5 shows playing the 20th anniversary of the first album. Check it out and even maybe do a reaction on Daddy live one of the shows at the end he has a mild breakdown on stage slams the microphone down and walks off stage.
they performed it live once really early in their career too. fairly sure the lyrics were a bit different in that version too. but the clip is on UA-cam. Was sometime in the late 90’s i believe
are you guys for real?? what the fuck
I was crying too, back in 1996 when I 1st heard it!
😔😔😔😔
Wow. Telling his story in his on way
He spread awareness what he did go through every one who go same way like Johnathan Davis go through
this song is pain outlet from the lead singer very early in the career. and yes its real pain you hear.
It was all done in one take. Johnathan knew he would break down and told the other members of the band to keep playing.
It was not all in one take.
Looks like you two had a soft life.
Everyone talks about Jonathan and i love him but how hard was it for the band to keep playing just shows how close they are they didn't know he was going have melt down
12:28
por que se seguía moviendo al ritmo de la música ?
"Oh little less sad" Dude fr?
I'm a bit late to this channel and reactions, but I hope this wasn't your first Korn experience. IMHO it's one of the best songs ever written, but it's not for any situation. I bought this album when it was new, I still have it, but this song still changes my whole goddamn day.
lol they got yo axe lol
that was funny man, it does sound like a church song, its actually a really good beat and could have been a hit song if it didnt contain those lyrics.
It was 4 real!!!
Watch the making of the album!!
Please react to the the little boy and the preacher man by Jessie Howard and also burden with save the children. They are both amazing songs
Kind Sir you seem to understand and sympathize. However, lovely lady you come across as a simpleton. I'm trying to be extremely respectful.
how is calling someone a simpleton respectful? lmaoooooo and my wife has a PhD. so shut your mouth 😄
@@yourewithsmithi think he was saying that your wife came off as a vapid, unemotional, narcissistic bitch. But he wanted to be as respectful as possible, so he used the least harsh word he could. But, hey! Kudos on your PhD, ma'am!
@@yourewithsmith Doesn't sound like it, she is just smiling and jamming to such a horrible song
@@yourewithsmithbro just proved their point im dead 💀
@@donkeykong2.0 Are you both intelligent enough to think this through and realize that this is a REACTION video and we've NEVER heard this song before and did not know what it was about until AFTER going through the lyrics? So NATURALLY, we were enjoying the song until we REALIZED what it was really about? Are you intelligent enough to think that far? No? okay.
I don't know wish song is harder to listen this one or Kim lol
this one. kim at least is a head scenario, just hypothetic, a release of anger. this one is the real trauma of Davis, the experience and pain of a child.
Just listen to the video. Damnit
You should do the unofficial funkytown video
who did this to you guy's.
you looked up the wrong video translation is pretty bad on this the word sip is never said
You guys should do video reaction about Britney Spears. This music is not meant to you.
🤦♀️
Bro these guys are bland as milk toast,
Ok so if you use the word “warning” in your title. You end up mixed into the list of reaction for the new rock band “THE WARNING”
Who is The Warning? They are 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Dany(Daniela)-22, Pau(Paulina)-20 and Ale(Alejandra)-17. They began by playing the video game “Rock Band”( Rock Band 4 has 2 of their songs in it). This lead them wanting to learn real instruments. They all had already been trained (ages 4-6) on classical piano. Dany pick guitar, Pau picked the drums and Ale the bass. They soon realized they could play songs together. In 2014 they made a video of them covering Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. Now they just did this to show their family how good they had gotten. They put it on UA-cam to make it easier for family to see. Today that video has over 24 million views.
Soon after 1 of their music instructors said they needed to start writing their own songs. Oh boy can these girls write songs. If you took all the rock music from the 70 to 2000’s and put it in a blender. The Warning music would come out. By the way all all there songs ( 47 I believe in total) are in their 2nd language, English. Which they speak better then most Americans I know. 2 songs are in Spanish. 1 which is a polite “F” you to their critics that complained about them not singing in Spanish.
They have opened for Foo Fighters, Stryper, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses ( in Mexico just a few days ago) and toured this year with Halestorm.
They even along with Alessia Cara rearranged Enter Sandman for Metallica’s Blacklist Lp.

You dingbat
The Warning is AMAZING!!! Dani singing Painkiller with TDG gives me goosebumps.
Looking up what happens before or during the song beats the purpose of an reaction. It's no longer a surprise, it's what you already know so the surprise is gone. 🤷♂️
TRash
You two don't have a clue what the song is about 😡
