Hope you guys don't mind me saying this, not intending to be too denfensive, it just irks me when people can't understand that; A woman CAN rape a man/boy. Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration(mouth, anus ect) carried out against a person without their consent. If Jonathan says he was raped, he was raped, not "just" molested, because the rapist is a woman. I might seem a little aggressive of me to point out, but this is a normal misunderstanding which just hurts to see time and time again. Believe women has been quite a statement.. Believe men too. Men get raped by other men and by women all the time, it's horrible. Thanks for trying to understand this song, as hard and triggering as it can be.

Because our society is based on double standards and that goes for both men and women, it's aggravating to say the least when people equate one type of issue for one particular sex "just because". Glad you brought it up tho!

Yes, a man can absolutely abused by a woman. And is much less likely to get help. It hurts them just as bad though, and might at least partially explain the high rates of male suicide. Some of my friends have been in this situation and I'm so sad for them.

when jonathan davis (singer) went in the booth to record this, he told the producer not to stop recording under any circumstances. what resulted was this. this is jonathan reliving his trauma and then deciding to put it out there on their debut album for everybody to hear and try to understand. the guts it took to put this out there i can't even comprehend. the intro to the song was recorded afterwards. knowing what happened while recording he felt the need to let his mom know that he still loves her (now that i'm done, know that i will always love you) in spite of what happened. this song helped countless people that had been abused come forward and start to deal with what happened to them. frankly your chuckling about him possibly having to do retakes during him breaking down in front of the mic to get it to sound right is fucked up. other than that decent reaction i guess. kind of seemed disconnected from what was actually going on in the song. i don't think you grasped the gravity in the moment what you were being presented with in this song. you seemed kind of dismissive

Not that i disagree at all, just going to add, some ppl react that way cause they are unconformable and don't know how to react. I watched a lot of react vids to this song. Some ppl embrace whats going on, break down with him, ect. Some ppl cover their face, some smile and laugh uncomfortably, cross their arms and close off, stare off to the side often not to keep looking at lyrics, and some just have the look of "surprised" or disbelief. Some ppl even try to joke to ease their discomfort, and even seen a few where they zone out and seem to go somewhere else while they just wait for it to finish.
Even though she has an awkward smile, you can see subtle twitches especially in here eyes and mouth that shes not really wanting to smile but doesn't know what else she should be doing.
all that aside, Matt like your understanding of music and human emotion, keep being you!

The breakdown was very real. You can hear the band drop into standby mode about halfway in. At that point, he lets it all out. He insisted everyone continue anyway, but it's very difficult to listen to. And they kept it as the last track on the first album. It's also worth noting that they were all teens at this point, and did the best they could with something really horrific. The song was preformed live once. Probably won't happen again

(at 18:04) The door opening and closing sound at the end is the band coming in the recording booth, they all surrounded Johnathan, hugging/supporting him in silence. And that's when the recording stopped. Great song but very heavy, it was the last song, so you didn't have to listen to it a million times. I could just stop it before that song started. Cause that's not one you want to hear too often.

Watch a live version, he didn't play it live for a long time for obvious reasons. when he does it live you can see it still gets to him to that date. He is a strong man for being able to make this song and do it live when he chooses. And like others before me posted, when they recorded this he told the producer he would do it only if she kept recording all of it.
You don't have to do a reaction vid to this song but anyone interested, he also does a song called "4 u" where it sings about how he couldn't do what he does if it was not "for you" (as in he does it for his fans, and he can do is because of us). He explained in a video i saw before the song plays its really hard for him to make the music, put himself out there, and also when he plays live. It's worth a listen for sure.
Thanks for the reaction! So.... (seemed like ya'll might be newish, not telling you how to do things, just giving feedback as a viewer.) Ppl seem to get disconnected (meaning you guys, the reactors), as well as when listeners have to sit through the pause and listen to what you have to say instead of listening. Best react videos i've seen, the reactors pull up the official video, have lyrics puled up else where to look at, take notes on what they want to say instead of stopping, then they talk about it and/or go back to parts of the vid they want to watch again. Also, you are allowed to have your own views and interpretation. So fuck all those ppl in the future and past for giving you a shit for getting things wrong or simply just not knowing lol. thanks again, and keep on reacting!

Ok so if you use the word “warning” in your title. You end up mixed into the list of reaction for the new rock band “THE WARNING”
Who is The Warning? They are 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Dany(Daniela)-22, Pau(Paulina)-20 and Ale(Alejandra)-17. They began by playing the video game “Rock Band”( Rock Band 4 has 2 of their songs in it). This lead them wanting to learn real instruments. They all had already been trained (ages 4-6) on classical piano. Dany pick guitar, Pau picked the drums and Ale the bass. They soon realized they could play songs together. In 2014 they made a video of them covering Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. Now they just did this to show their family how good they had gotten. They put it on UA-cam to make it easier for family to see. Today that video has over 24 million views.
Soon after 1 of their music instructors said they needed to start writing their own songs. Oh boy can these girls write songs. If you took all the rock music from the 70 to 2000’s and put it in a blender. The Warning music would come out. By the way all all there songs ( 47 I believe in total) are in their 2nd language, English. Which they speak better then most Americans I know. 2 songs are in Spanish. 1 which is a polite “F” you to their critics that complained about them not singing in Spanish.
They have opened for Foo Fighters, Stryper, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses ( in Mexico just a few days ago) and toured this year with Halestorm.
They even along with Alessia Cara rearranged Enter Sandman for Metallica’s Blacklist Lp.
