Damaged Paint 1974 Vw Beetle | Don't Put Stickers On Paint

I recently bought this beetle, the entire story is on this channel. The 1974 super beetle came with all these stickers on the paint, although the paint looked fairly look it was still covered in stickers. These stickers had been on the car for at least a decade with the car sitting outside a lot. The stickers are a low quality sticker which have slowly baked into the paint job over time. I tried everything to remove these without damaging any paint, Heat, soaking them, a little bit of everything and the easiest, fastest way with the least damage came down to this fancy eraser tool. This tool worked great, it still did cause some damage but I feel as though it was fairly unavoidable in my situation. Not a big deal as I plan on painting this car during the full restoration.

i work at a vw dealership and i have to remove stickers often. hate it. you look epic wearing ripped jeans btw.

Wouldn't a heat gun have worked?

I tried, was still taking off the clear coat and popping the paint in spots so I chose the fastest way

I Guess im that person, no matter what I did it caused damage. This way I was able to remove almost half the flowers with zero issues @@GT.Bugger
