    If you accidentally touch the polish or notice the chrome doesn't stick, rub the area with alcohol and then apply the chrome again!

      I don’t know how I missed this comment! 😆 sorry about that! I do find this works sometimes as well! With the holographic chromes, sometimes wiping with alcohol doesn’t do the trick and I have to put a new coat of clear on for it to stick well to :)

    Do loose chrome powders generally work better than pressed chrome? Did a pressed chrome set last night and it lietarrly fell apart when i took a shower this morning. To be fair my surface was no where near well prepped. In all videos, i notice most use loose poweders.

      Hey! I have seen those but have no experience with them to be honest. Did you place a top coat on to keep the chrome in place? I have had no issues whatsoever with GelMoment's loose chrome powders. They last the full 2 to 3 weeks until I take remove the polish :)

      Most of our chromes does not need a clear coat first applied. Some of our holographic chromes do. You can apply and cure your colour and then use the Clearly Frisky clear gel polish and cure that, then apply the chrome to make it easy so that you don’t have to keep track which of our chromes need it or not. I was just trying to eliminate a step for those that have some of these chromes colours

    Ahh you answered my question at 5min.. I was going to ask if you had clearly frisky on the base color or just apply straight to the base color.. but what is your opinion on what way works better.. with or without the clearly frisky for applying the chrome powders..

    Hi! Loving these new chrome. Do they look the same no matter what colour the base coat is? ie Clearly Frisky vs Raven’s Kiss?

      Great question! No they done. The very first image of this video, if you pause it, my index and ring finger have Extraterrestrial on white polish (Lovee Dovee) and my ring and pinky have it on black polish (Raven’s Kiss). The lighter the colour used as the base, the lighter the chrome will look. Great thing is you can use whatever base colour you like!

      @@hairandmakupbyramraman7042 hey there! Actually how this works is you put whatever polish colour you want as a base and then cure. The chromes are just a powder so you rub a little onto the nails you just cured under the light and rub until you get a mirror finish. Then put a clear coat on top of this and cute to seal in the powder. ;) all done!

    Naughty nail artist! Touching uncured/tacky gel polish is how one gets allergies! Don't recommend encouraging your customers to do that! Beautiful colours though!

    • @SylviaSimplySassyNails
      @SylviaSimplySassyNails  8 місяців тому +3

      Hey! Yes I know this fact and I would never tell anyone to touch or clean up uncured polish with their fingers. Thanks for saying this but I fail to see where I touched uncured polish in my video? If you are referring to the chrome that I put on with my finger, that is not polish. It's a chrome powder that is completely safe to touch and have on your skin.

    • @SylviaSimplySassyNails
      @SylviaSimplySassyNails  6 місяців тому

      @@nicoleo.8264I’m not sure as I haven’t tried any but GelMoment chrome. With ours, you cure completely and then rub the chrome in. We don’t have a tacky layer to rub off our gel polishes. I would be leery about having partially cured polish and then rubbing chrome in for a few reasons. First, partially cured polish means it’s not completely dry and can lead to developing allergies or other issues. If putting chrome on top of partially cured polish, that polish underneath will not have a chance to cure properly as the chrome will act as a barrier for the light to cure the polish underneath so even though you cure the partially cured polish with the chrome on top, it may not fully cure.
