  • Please note that this method will not last long. Because we are using water-based products, you can expect up to only a couple of days to a week of wear.
    UPDATE: I mentioned using ORLY bonder as a stickey-base coat alternative, but I just tried it recently & it doesn't work as well as Zoya Anchor.
    Here is how to apply nail powders using NO GEL. I have seen a couple of people do this video, but I haven't seen anyone else use the same exact method I'm showing you in this video.
    {PRODUCTS MENTIONED}
    →Zoya Anchor Basecoat (unfortunately it seems like this basecoat has been discontinued)
    BEST ALTERNATIVE:
    →American Classics Yellow Stopper

    Hi everyone. I filmed this video 4 years ago, but many of you are still watching. Unfortunately, a lot of products have been discontinued since I made this video. I have updated the links in the description bar to reflect this.
    It seems like Zoya has discontinued the Anchor Basecoat. I have used the American Classics Yellow Stopper basecoat and it works really well for this method. It's a little hard to find but you can buy it from Sally's Beauty!

      @@NiaJustNia mine doesn’t so that but I “wrap the tip” so you apply the base coat,nail polish color, and top coat on the free edge of the nail and then apply to the nail bed. This will help it last longer! But when I used SV I would notice that the polish will pull away from the cuticle and side of nail literally shrinking it. I still use sometimes but just something I noticed.

    For a black nail polish suggestion, you can get funky fingers, because those are great with one coat. But thanks for making this video because its really hard to find nail powder videos without using gel nail polish. As an idea how about you try it with gel like nail polish?

    • @salty_shelley
      @salty_shelley  7 років тому +2

      I'll give funky fingers a try! I've seen them at my local Five Below. By gel like nail polish, do you mean stuff like Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Essie Gel Couture, Revlon Envy etc? I do have a few of those, and I find they're pretty much identical to regular nail polish. I feel like it's more of a marketing technique.
