The two most genuine, informative & most honest men in Bodybuilding! This is beautiful, thank you, kind regards as ALWAYS John to you & your Wife, Richard U.K
Partial reps and “cheating” reps are some of the best advanced techniques available. One of my favorite is reaching failure, then implementing partial reps. Get ready for that burn. *UFF!!*
This is the content UA-cam needs. Not these fake fitness influencers doing eating challengers and doing 5kg bicep curls. Thank you John and fouad for inspiring me everyday to continue going gym. I started a year ago and the best thing I did for mental health. Thank you again much love from Australia
“There’s a difference in moving weight and contracting muscle” I’m about 10 months into my journey and I’m always blown away when I make a new connection.
Your pal Foaud seems like a really sound guy. Loved the between-sets talk about mindset, intensity, mind-muscle connection. Really helps me think about how I should be focusing mentally when training.
I can’t believe anyone would give this a thumbs down. John and Fouad are the sh!t. Together in the same video...priceless. I can’t think of a single time I’ve watched either of you and didn’t learn something.
Very important lesson learned today on difference between partial and cheat reps. Thanks for that, John. Love how Fouad, who clearly is a pro and knows what he’s doing, is open and willing to learn from John. That’s how you get ahead of the competition, Fouad! Way to go! Keep it up, both of you. 👊🏼💪🏼👍🏼
Fouad is damn right, lots of them UA-cam fitness guys doesn't know the difference between partials & cheap reps but they've been training people for years. Partials to me is keeping the tension on the muscles...
I agree 100% were all in it together, when I was young I chased Bodybuilding alone, but now I make a point every time at the gym to complicate & learn from others and it has only increased my love & passion for the sport. You are an inspiration for this 56yr old man, hope this year to finally get below 15% now at 31% I'm getting there 4 years ago I was 42% slow but I'm getting better everyday I think the key is Diet! Not to discount training but all training and no diet is like a ship at sea without a destination. Thanks again
John, I got the hugest complement in the gym yesterday. The person said your front and side shoulders look good but your rear felt is crazy huge! Thank you John Meadows as I've been blasting my rear delta with pec machine and dumbells. Once again Thank you!!
I rarely comment on videos, but can't watch yours and just pass by, great respect from morocco jhon, u are one of the few I can say the rarest that talks about volume tips for natural and enhanced with all clarity. before I used to do 4 5 sets 5 6 exercises adding drop sets etc.. I was literally killing my self as natural, after watching u talking about volume and intensity etc ... I've learned so much!! things. I don't know why you don't have 1M+ subs. Thanks for your efforts, informations, and your honesty. RESPECT !.
You know, it's because of you that I started following Fouad and I'm so glad I did. I've been binging all his content lately...super good dude, and very smart
I’m a be a big fan of Fouad channel. His channel is one of the better ones out there. To see both of the people I follow talk about bodybuilding is pretty awesome. Much respect to both of you.
I've gotten into doing partial myself after doubting them for a long time, I figured, you know, maybe it'll work for me. Well now thanks to trying something new, upping the weight for my shoulders and doing partials, my shoulders are actually pumping up for the first time, in ever! Thanks John!
@@Christopher-Lenz What I found worked was from his vid called "The Perfect Shoulder Workout For Monster Delts." Heavier partials to start, then I throw a little Athlean X in where I lighten the load and do 1 & 1/2 reps (see vid titled "How to Get Bigger Shoulders (LIGHT WEIGHTS!)", which is going to the top, lowering to just before tension loss, then going back up to the top before finishing the rep. For the heavy partial part (like 20lbs for me) I go to failure (around 20 or so reps), then I crank out the lower 1 & 1/2's (8lbs) until I can't take the burn. I threw those in for side an rear delts in my routine and I'm actually seeing them start to get a bit more round after about a couple months when previously I hadn't been getting much change.
I have to admit, been subscribed to Fouad for few months now, never watched him in the gym..... his cooking and meal prep videos are outstanding! Really he has been crucial in me eating so well! Great video!
10:24 that's a homemade smith machine right there, that's so cool to see ... who ever would think of this particular exercise ? I know who would John would.
The hole destroy the muscle not the joints, and not going 100% intensity all the session made lots of sense. I love your approach and way of thinking when it comes to training, hands down one of the most knowledgeable people in this industry. Amazing content, and i have to say i really like Fouad's heart and intensity, and passion for this..
Awesome that you are honest and separate natural from enhanced. I’m natural so it explains the lengthy recovery from too much volume! I will adjust the volume and increase the intensity ! Thanks John!
Can we please have a leg day with Fouad? You both are by far some of the hardest Leg-Day fanatics in the industry. The veteran knowledge coupled with the sheer brutality would make an awesome workout.
Wow. 2 of the greats doing a video together. Cool. Im not even a bodybuilder im just a regular guy that likes to stay in shape doing a 3 day a week routine. But I subscribe to both of their channels for workout and nutrition tips for what I'm trying to do. Sometimes I watch even when it's a video for a result im not interested in. Good stuff.
Some guys go to “failure” on every set but actually they’re going 80-90 percent of failure. With your methodology I feel that you don’t go to failure until the last set but you actually end up going beyond failure on that last set. I liked that you said, taking your muscles too failure but not your joints! That’s the difference from how you do it than how most people do it. Better results with less collateral damage.
Love it! I follow barely a handful of youtube fitness channels , and both of you are in there. So watching you collaborate confirms to me that I made the right choice following the right people! Awesome (thumbs up!)
Legitly been waiting for a video like this. I remember seeing these two training on UA-cam back in the day. Would be a dream workout out with one of these guys. I bet I’ll pick up so much knowledge like in the videos.
Holy shit, John! The quip about the old MuscleTech ads, and the pose had me rolling! I remember laughing at those ridiculous ads like 15 years ago, haven't thought about them since. Had a good nostalgic laugh at that.
I think the easiest way to differentiate between a cheat rep and a partial is cheat rep uses momentum over strict form, and a partial rep limits the range of motion
Awesome stuff John. 2 of my favorite. Love fouad channel and all he has been doing. And always throughly enjoy everything you put out. Much respect to both of u from Massachusetts! Brian from Boston 💪🙏
Wow I've never seen the overhead press using the wall. My gym wouldn't allow it but definitely increased my knowledge with exercise variety! Also, the calf video you recently posted I loved very much and will be sharing it at the local gym I go to because every guy needs it lol thanks John!

Having a partner is nice cuz you can implement them forced reps, full rom and full burn
Oh yeah! I love them for side laterals. Just keep the weight moving until you can't raise your arm! Feels way better the cheating heavy weight up.
Yep. Knowledge.

Two of my favorite UA-cam bodybuilders 💯
I've been watching Fouad like crazy lately. He's been motivating me to get into the kitchen and try some things out. This collab feels tailored to me!
Same brother
I really liked: "annihilate the muscle without annihilating the joint"
Fouad really seems like a genuine dude. Hard to find humbleness among bodybuilders.
Your pal Foaud seems like a really sound guy. Loved the between-sets talk about mindset, intensity, mind-muscle connection. Really helps me think about how I should be focusing mentally when training.
Finally someone honest about natural and not natural. Great to hear you say you don't have a problem with either as long as you put in the work.
I can’t believe anyone would give this a thumbs down. John and Fouad are the sh!t. Together in the same video...priceless. I can’t think of a single time I’ve watched either of you and didn’t learn something.
