I got the TRD Upgrade package, not Premium. Mine also came with the JBL system & 14” display. Even that was outside my price range, and it was only with good discounting from the dealer that I was able to make it work. I’d have loved the moonroof and all the extra cameras, but spending more was just out of my reach. I’m very happy with what I got.
Nice! I'm glad you got a good deal! Thanks for commenting!
This is the perfect video for me, I’m already set on the premium package and am waiting for the dealership to get one in with PP and the color I’m looking for. They have many on the lot right now w/o the PP, where I’m at most dealers do, but they don’t have any with the PP within about 50 miles from me.
If it's the features you are looking for it's worth the wait for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Appreciate the premium package on my trd sport, but if I was not able to afford, I would not get.
Yeah that makes sense to me. Thanks very much for the comment and for watching !
55k is steep for an ORP. I don't care about the manufacturer or 4-cylinder engines. Just value for money.
That's totally fair. Value is very personal.
I have the 4th gen premium package and i say yes! Its worth the value to me. Im just happy to be able to pass others on the freeway with ease while the bed is loaded. Oh and no gear hunting like the previous gen.
Yes that's all true. Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it.
i bought a 24 trd sport upgrade at that time i didnt know about different packages if i knew about the premium i would of asked for the premium i called the dealer today they will let me trade my sport for a off road premium i love the 14 in. screen that only would sold the truck for me
I'm glad you'll be able to trade it and I'm sure you'll love the premium and the off road as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Got the TRD Off Road with cloth and upgrade screen. Heated seats and steering. Out the door at $49k. Works for me and worth it. I do wish dual climate control was standard on the TRD
Sweet, I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the comment.
Besides the acoustical glass in the Premium Package you get the sound insulation pad on the underside of the hood. That also helps manage the noise.
Yes it does. I should have said an acoustic treatment or package. Thanks for watching!
I just drove the sport imax hybrid taco today. I was impressed with the torque. It rips pretty good. $55k. Let them sit on the lot for a while then they will discount them.
I hope that does happen and I'm glad you had a great test drive too.
Premium all the way. Got it for 3200 under sticker, so not too bad overall. Always regretted not having it on my 3rd gen
Glad to hear that you got a great deal too. Sweet. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi Ben, question, how are you liking the fit and finish? Any screaks or rattles? Noise is something I value a lot, just wondering!
I have had no squeaks or rattles from the vehicle itself, just the manuals in the glove box. Squeaks and rattles drive me nuts too. The overall fit and finish is great.
Hey you buy what makes you happy it's your "Money " Very good vid........
Thanks I appreciate that.
excellent video thanks!
No problem, thanks for watching.
I purchased a Sport Premium . Awesome truck, well worth the premium package. I also own a ‘21 sport pretty well loaded. New truck is many times the better truck. In my opinion Toyota hit this one out of the park . To all the whiners, If you can’t afford a new truck , quit whining and get a better job.
I'm glad you love your new truck and I agree it was a great upgrade over the previous gen. .
If I was looking at a 24 Tacoma , I would definitely get the OR w/PP . I didnt relaize all those options you went over in your video came with the new Tacoma.
I have a 23 Pro and alot of that camera tech would be nice along with big screen. 😅
We picked up a 24 Rubicon X instead to getting a 24 Tacoma. Absolutely love this 24 Jeep with the 35's.
Sweet that's a cool vehicle too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I ordered a TRD off-road March 1 2024 with Premium upgrade package/Stabilizer disconnect/Bronze oxide and as of the first week of July I'm being told 3-6 more months.
That's a long time. I hope you get it sooner.
I feel your frustration! I've been searching for an Off Road, Premium Package with 6' bed in Ice Cap. None in Texas has one or any future allocation for one in the future. Finally found one near Nashville and it's supposed to be here by 12 September. Had to settle for Underground though. Good luck, hope you get one soon.
@tankinfrankrc1087 glad you found what you're looking for!
I never thought about the battery in that speaker getting too hot. Do you know what type of battery it is?
Supposedly it's a new technology solid state battery. Thanks for watching Duggydo!
Will the camera based rear view mirror work if you have a cap + tent on your taco?
As long as you don't block the camera above the rear window. Mine still works with my rack and tent on top of that. If you have a cap with windows in the front and back, it may still work. There are also camera relocation kits I believe.
what was your total out the door price with taxes and everything?
We had a trade, but with tax and Colorado registration and title, it would be about 59,000 I believe.
BTW my 2006 TRD off road cost 28,000$. In 2024 dollars that is 43,620$ according to one inflation calculator. Food for thought
Yep, vehicles prices have unfortunately outpaced inflation over that same time.
@@BenInBeta True but also my 2006 has cloth seats, no electric seats, yes electric windows + cd / fm radio. Compared to a modern car it is truly bare bones / old school
@@bdano4264 Yep, as consumers the bar of what we want, demand, or desire has risen much as well... hand in hand w/ price.
55k why not get a ford raptor?
Well, I paid 53000 for my off road and the Raptor wasn't available when I bought mine. Also it'd be months before I got one if I ordered one now. But a Raptor is a cool truck and a solid value. If there's not a mark-up.
@@datkinegaming maybe I’m biased. I walk around my neighborhood looking at older cars. I have a gen2 taco from 2006. It’s not perfect but in good shape. I look at fords and GMs from roughly the same period and they look like crap, paint coming off, etc
I guess because I keep my cars 10-20 years I question how other trucks would hold up. Then again maybe Toyota isn’t any good anymore too.
@@bdano4264 which I get. And I would be tocoma too if they didn’t have engine problem with there newer gen’s and the insane price with lack of some thing. Now older Toyota where build great and people who bough them took care of it. While look at old ford ranger and what people are doing to it is insane that it still around towing 50k pounds and ram it Thur muds and stuff. (But they didn’t care for it so didn’t maintenance it) I’m from Hawaii #1 state for Toyota
@@bdano4264 two thing that made Toyota popular 1. Reliability. 2. It was cheaply prices. (So they could make more of and push it out)
Do your homework. A raptor will cost $650-700 more in fuel cost per year, each year you own it. It is a great truck but I don't need a sport truck, my Tacoma is just fine. Not to mention finding one without a markup right now.
Nice video! Can I find you on IG?
Thanks very much, Yes, @beninbeta.
@@BenInBeta Thank you so much!
