- showing the difference between the 1st and 2nd gear in my 2-Speed transmission I have on my scx10 II and some of the things you need to know and beware of while installing. running on a 3s lipo battery with a 12 turn titan motor.
HERES THE LINK FOR THE TRANSMISSION!!!!

so far best video on the 2speed thanks for ur time an work
No, it does have to be perfect! I wont sleep till its perfect. Im a friggin ocd freak
Nice speed run👍🏽
Nice run man
Man it looks cold there!
definetly bro only lasted like 45 min
That's one fast crawler bro lol 😁.
Nice job👍👍👍
Nice vid ✌
I get the same if not more wheel speed on my Holmes puller pro stubby with a single speed trans. I don't see the need for 2-speed in RC crawling honestly but that's just my opinion.
Fast in a crawler is idiotic. I agree 2 speed is for the guys who like to bash and jump shit, it has no usefulness in crawling. I love crawling with trx4 noobs who bitch and complain about the shift servos frying or shift cables binding in the casings because traxxas says oh its waterproof lol. I cruise on by them and smile. 😂
Great👌
Cool i gotta have one now i wonder if they make a 3 speed yet
Very nice, it huals ass in 2nd.
speed looks similar to my 13t with just 3600 nimh... i only get about 10 minute runtime though
I want to swap my gen 7 motor to a titan12.. you notice any huge improvements? Handling? Crawling? Faster speed?
I ordered the same transmission what servo did you use?
honestly bro you don't need a serious servo I have a hitec 150 oz cheapest one at the store 16$ set the end points right and youll never have issues. you don't need a high torque servo save your money
Did you change the transmition on this truck..? So the scx10 2 does not come with 2 speed gear.?
no it does not come with a 2 speed. bought this after market 2 speed transmission.
haha, looks like that motor has nothing to do in both gears, instant max rpm. I would like to see how slow it can go while crawling, maybe it can have a bigger pinion, or will that be to much?
12turn motors are realy not for crawlers lol i have the same body and use a 55turn.. loads of torque and fair speed control. Get the impression the instant start in the vid is more down to poor throttle control
@@adamtaz6 Yea, full throttle at once. But you say the 55 turn has lots of torque. What i am saying that talking about torque is not important when an rc goes full blast in under one sec. That means the torque for this motor is like 100 times to high. What I would like to see is this car crawling, on its slowest crawl speed and see how the motor is doing then. I am rocking Brushless now, those are way to strong also. And i am not running them for speed (as i turn them down in de transmitter lower than 50%), but more for endurance, fun, newer tech, I had it laying around. With these settings you can hear my car slowly accelerating in 2nd gear even when i punch the throttle. In first gear it is pretty instant, but that is normal for that gear. same for a real 4x4 in low range.
@@mrDarksand yea i hear you pall, the low turn motors have all their torque at high speed so it would seem, the video didnt show how slow it can go and on a high turn like my 55 the top speed is nothing like that of a 12.. even swithching from a 35turn which i had originally was so so much quicker on the throttle than the 55. I also want to see but im guessing the 12 turn will just spin like hell when trying to get over obsticles rather than having that nice CONTROLLED roll over with no wheel spin
@@adamtaz6 That was actually the reason I was watching this video. I wanted to go brushless, knowing it would cog at low rpm if not properly geared or even sensored. I did not have a gearbox yet when I watched this, was looking for the info. Now I have a gearbox and strangely enough it is nothing what I see here, @ 100% from the transmitter it looks like a Slash on steroids. But at 40% it is nice and controllable, however I still need to gear down more for that ultra low speed (also have a Sensored motor now to hopefully get some more of the ultra low speed control) Don't get me wrong, I can crawl just fine, but you know, you can never go too slow if you can go like 40 mph on the high range (that now about 15mph on the transmitter throttle limits).
Can you make a video about the gearbox.. i wanna put on my car scx10 full metal carbon
