You can add semifinal match Serbia-Spain from this tournament in Tokyo. The match had it all: controversy with refereeing, tension, incredible comeback from Serbia. Both teams gave it all for the win.

I don’t play water polo, (I’m a swimmer) however, my dad played water polo in college and for a career for a while and is trying to convince my cousin to go to UCSD for waterpolo in college, I also have many friends that play water polo, I have a lot of respect for all those that play the sport, it takes a lot of skill...

1956, Melbourne: Hungary-Soviet Union 4-0. Should have been number 1 due to historical reasons. It was right after the Hungarian revolution against the soviet regime which was swiftly ended in a bloody and disgusting manner by the Russians. That match was a huge revenge for us Hungarians and attracted an unusually huge audience. Do your homework!

Spectators: For certain people staying afloat is not easy. Just watch how these water polo players swim to the ball, reach the ball and to throw it towards the goal post. So, if playrs and some other people can stay afloat, with heads of players well above water level continuously, for the duration of the match, why do other people drown to death? swimming and staying afloat must be second nature for some humans.
